Something for everyone! Affordable and fun too. If you're reselling, look for large lots or collections to buy at a discount to max profit. It's hit or miss on the occasional estate sale or thrift find.

Hi .....always love these videos! I do not collect S&P shakers but I did have the set shown at 3.39 in the video.....I sold them dirt cheap in my booth I used to have...I remember something about a sticker on them saying they came from an Indian school out west that closed? Forgive me if I used wording that is incorrect...that’s all I can remember...funny the shakers came from the cellars....I just bought cellars....lol thank you for sharing 😊kim

I collected salt and pepper shakers about 30 years ago. Bought most of them at flea markets for a dollar. I have about 200 sets that are now boxed up. When I was collecting I always looked for cork stoppers as I was told they were older than the plastic ones. I have animals, food, out houses, Indians anything that was unusual. My favorite was little bo peep and her sheep. Someday I will unbox them. Took a lot of time to dust them LOL but it is a fun thing to collect.

The salt cellers or dishes with the little spoon were used not because people were too stupid to think about a Shaker for it.. Probably a million people did, but the salt caked up big time and didn't shake... Morton added Magnesium Carbonate to solve the problem..

My grandmother just passed away and had been collecting salt n pepper shakers since the sixties untill 2000 I will have the opportunity to pick out and even sell some or all but if it’s difficult to get more than garage sale pricing from people they have more sentimental value than a dollar a pair to me on the other hand she has giant china cabinets filled and yes plural so hundreds of pairs I have no idea how to price them if we do sell and I would want them to be paid for so that they get valued used collected not just trashed I owe her that much to see that they don’t go to waist I may keep twenty pair tops of the ones I like but that and religious figurines are abundant so worst case I may do garage sell after I’ve tried my best to get a good home for them I will not throw them or donate so someone else can profit I don’t understand those stores the pricing can be awesome or just stupid so idk how to feel about thrift stores seems like the lady that does pricing at the savers in my city watches antique roadshow too often and pawn stars they have laptops without chargers or chords with no way to see if it works but have a no return policy as well example I saw a pair of salt and pepper shakers at a pawnshop for 140$ ceramic gold plated but if I took exact same thing in I might be able to get ten fifteen dollars lol I know that’s how it works but it shouldn’t be like this even with new current items bought at store our dollar is loosing value but our products are loosing value as fast or faster yet the retail price goes up if anything I bought a nephew Pokémon for Xmas but ended up loosing him a month or so later I could not get money back or store credit looked into selling well I’m now a Pokémon collector I have unopened Pokémon that I would loose money on as everyone uses lowest recent price to price anything these days I payed 44 for one box got offered 20 that was the highest offer I didn’t buy them to make money but I’d love to at least get close to what they cost if I do sell my point is that we will pay Walmart 40$ for something a multi billion dollar company but if we see exact same thing being sold by someone down on their luck ppl try to pay half or less that’s why rich get richer Yadayadayada I don’t ever expect humans to work together but I wish money didn’t rule over us like a dictator the ones that need will sell something for less just to ensure a sale but ones w money can hold onto those items till someone pays this all combining to make it harder for poor to get out of that cycle my rant is coming to an end for now but never forever
