Great list, especially appreciate the shout out to Three Houses, love that its still so fondly thought of.
Surprised to see no Kiseki game tho, you should check out Trails if you havnt, the recently released Daybreak is a really good game and it also has the action combat option like in Metaphor. While some of games in the series are weaker than others (yes, I mean cs arc, I think its quite poor) its a huge series with a continuous narrative and all of them have at least some aspects I loved.

Triangle strategy really is so good. I could easily pick that up again. Currently playing Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom here though. Gonna play either Ys X or Saga Revenge of the Seven next

Nice, I bought Echoes but haven't touched it because I'm currently obsessed with Metaphor: ReFantazio lol. Once I finished that I can finally get to Zelda.

I kinda liked Eiyuden Chronicles, but I do feel it is a LOT too 'set' as an RPG. It has a power curve, and you are on it. You will not get stronger than it wants you too. Worse, due to the sheer size of the cast, there are simply a lot of ones that wind up not being useful, and only a few times in the game does it make use of having enough characters to field multiple teams at once(though there are two times where teams spend time on extended assignments away from base, the first is a set team, and the second is highly restricted in your choices.)
Doesn't help that due to this, there are some characters that are statistically less useful than others. There are only 3 direct upgrade characters, so it's diverse at least, but even then, magic users lag behind for a large portion of the game, as their damage is set less by their stats, and more by the runes which give them spells. Even their personal spells tend toward effects and not damage(save 2).
All that said, this cast is well fleshed out, if not directly in the story, then every playable(and even non-playable in some cases) recruit has a full short story about them you can read, which the VAs bring across in their acting. The story itself, while I find the final revelation awful(the bad guys plan was what? WHY?!) the pacing and plotting to get there is great, and the ending is actually a good one too, with a good epilogue and the cast list telling you where people are going with their lives.
I hope they do get another one out sometime, as it was fun, but it had so many design issues that I can't call it great.
For the others on this list that I played, I like Triangle Strategy, but again, I wish you could break it a little more easily.
Chained Echoes is game of EVERY year for me, as it was everything I wanted, I loved the characters, world, gameplay, and everything else about it. I hope he fixes NG+ up a bit more, but even more than that, I hope he's working on a sequel, as there's still plenty of questions left over.
I didn't play Persona 3 Reloaded...that is however because I played the original 3, and it's a great game, and probably even better with the improvements. I don't think I can take that story again though. It's awesome, it's even amazing at times. It also depressed me many times over, and while I'm not one to be deeply affected by my games like that, I feel emotions towards it that I don't want to repeat their feeling.
SMTV:V is fantastic. It's not a great story, Vengeance is only a good story and Creation is at best an okay one, but that gameplay is polished to a MIRROR shine. This is the standard by which I am judging other creature collector games for the next few years.
Fire Emblem...Edlegard did everything wrong, and people try to forgive her. I don't like that. Especially given her first action in game was to...well that's spoiler, but it happens BEFORE you start the game, and it implicates her in a lot of things.
BG3 is a great game, fantastic in many ways. It follows on from one of the classics of my high school years, and it does it well. Love how many choices you get to make in it, and the sheer amount of things they planned for. I still think Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is my favorite cRPG, but it is still up there in the top 3.
And Metaphor...I love it, but I think some of that is I love political thrillers, and this one has some of those things in it. It's a good game, well designed, and with a HUGE amount of things to do in it. Love that it is VERY player friendly, putting even Persona's latest entries to shame in that regard, as you don't need a guide at all, and it's still possible to hit 100% in one playthru. I think my only problem is that character levels(not Archetypes) reset, and you lose access to archetypes and their powers until you unlock them again in the follower system. Still, as a story it was fantastic, that ending and epilogue is great, and Heismay is adorable and I want a plushie of him, stat.

Not a bad list, thanks for sharing. I prefer games more like Marvel Midnight Suns but I decided NOT to buy a Nintendo Switch just for the Fire Emblem series even though I did enjoy it back in the 3DS days. I like the movement and even deck-building aspects instead of being static and taking turns hitting each other. Midnight Suns did not get particularly favorable reviews which is why I haven't yet pulled the trigger while I keep searching for turn-based games with movement or movement and deck-building mixed. I'm a PC player so consoles games I have to pass on.

If you're talking about at 13:30 that's just a cutscene from early on in the game.

I am actually seeing more and more stuff that I dont like in rpgs. Chrono Trigger inspired indies, forced replayability such as roguelike elements, overstretched stories.... idk. I really want something more like the Dept Heaven series that put more attention to the gameplay or something like Etrian Odyssey series where the exploration have threats.
Anyways, I love Yggdra Union the most. Never gonna change as my favorite rpg of all time.

Good video but your presentation can be better. Speaking fast is okay but the breathing part is quite annoying.
Just chill a bit and keep up the goodwork

I agree that the gameplay in Engage is better. But I'm really big on story and I think the multiple story paths in three houses are better than the story we get in fire emblem engage while still having solid gameplay. Thanks for watching!

Engage has some of the best combat in all of fe to bad the story might be some of the worst in fe at least in my opinion.

@Madkiwi115 unfortunately I agree. I'm about to drop it as i don't care for the story, despite wanting to see more of the combat
