Will debuff may not be working how you THINK it's working, if you believe my 19 will claim is WRONG, I clarified my findings HERE: th-cam.com/video/hJZWHCi50g0/w-d-xo.html
one really underrated thing for wizards in particular is when you hit the 40 will soft cap, your potions are nearly twice as effective at healing you in almost the same time about 30% longer. for 1.7x the heal. hidden potion chugger wizard?
Astounding. Excelent. Marvellous. What a great class this was. Tysm for putting effort and dedication on these videos. Love your content and enthusiasm.
Damn your video quality made such a fast improvement since the Bard video, good stuff! Keep up the awesome content. Been learning a lot from all the guides!
3:00 lmao 50% action speed wizard so the magic staff casts at the normal speed of a spell book is the funniest off-meta idea I've ever heard. I wonder if anyone across all the games played ever tried it as the main focus of a build. A little thing to add is that despite the attribute being called "Magical Damage Bonus" it actually increases your magical power bonus. Meaning a 6% Magical Damage Bonus roll on a chest slot will boost your magical Healing and Intensity by 6% as well. Though this might be covered in the damage video. You did a good job. Examples made sense and it was easy to follow along. Would've preferred a deep dive into Magical Power Bonus along with everything, to keep it close together, but if you want it to be a separate video that's fine.
Remember that the healing is affecting by power bonus after your magical healing stat, meaning if you don't have atleast 10 magical healing, having even as high as 100% magical power is only going to give you the equivalent of 20 magical healing. Anything less and your magical power is practically irrelevant. As it is getting even close to 100% magical power is almost unheard of with the exception of warlock's dark magic, or dark offering. Also while 100% magical power would give you 100% more healing, it also scales with the healing source, meaning if for example the source is health potions (which scale at 0.5), your 100% magical power is now suddenly half as strong. This gets worse with something like torture mastery's 0.1 scaling.
So I have what is probably an odd and niche question but I can't find a calculator that includes it so... Squire build rogue with poisoned weapon Is aiming for positive phys damage or positive magic damage better and in what situations? Am I better to have some will or just phys damage when sub 24 bossing?
Despite magical power scaling better then physical power, it is almost entirely a useless stat, as only like 3 spells can benefit from a high magical power over just having max true and a ton of casting speed, with a ton of move speed.
@@davidrousseau100 On a spell like zap, your damage is 20, and scaling is 0.75. This means that even with 100% magical power, your only adding an additional 15 damage. Keep in mind that you need to run full will base gear to get magical power that high, and by running full will base gear, you have no move speed. By no move speed I mean you don't have 330. Because any caster without 330 is dead to any other class that is either using a bow, or a melee range hybrid. The exception to that is if you build tank caster, but then like I said before, you would focus into casting speed instead. As well as armor and hp.
Well max true mag is only really good for aoe spells like holy strike and lightning strike because true mag doesn't get modified by headshot damage. Making additional mag better for every other damaging spell. Also magic power is still good for most spells, you just want to max that additional first if you're min maxing
@@sethhager4097additional mag is dog, explosion zap fireball icebolt magic missile are the only dmg spells that matter and ur probably chest shotting most of the time. Also explosion and zap (.75 scaling oof) do 1x dmg no matter where u hit so add does nothing for you. true dmg on magic missile is broken cuz u shoot 10 and can melt tanks with leg shots and so u kinda need it for MDR players.
@@sethhager4097 I would like to point out that all the spells you mentioned here are spells that do enough damage to be worth scaling magical power for, because the base damage is above 20. I can't remember holy strike, but lightning strike is 30. If your build is centered around the 30 damage plus spells, then maxing magic power is strictly better with the only exception being spells like fireball, because fireball uses your true damage multiple times per cast making it extremely powerful. I can't remember if burn damage is buffed by true or not, but fire balls aeo, and on hit damage, are different sources so they apply true twice, and 20 true damage is a lot.
This was great. Normally I’m not a fan of female content creators because it tends to be more about them than the content but you nailed it! Great info on screen as well as how you explained it. The pig was great and the outtakes were great too! Do rogue poison scaling next please! You got a subscriber out of me today.
Thanks, before your video i tought will was not so relevant stat While covering magical damage and spells please also cover active skills such as judgement
So applying this knowledge as I am a warlock, my hp are my spell charges, and I regain my spell charges through healing. While we warlocks typically have at least one spell to heal through either TM or life drain, the usage of a potion is not to be disregarded given our high base will, malice and vampirism perks, and magical healing equipment.
I actually think that potions are far better for caster lock than TM or hydrain. With 40 will softcap and vampirism, you're healing for twice the base amount PLUS 20% more from vampirism. It's very efficient.
Awesome video! Just wondering why the threshold for 19 will on the burn removal. Shouldn't even 16 will be -1% debuff duration bringing you under the full 1.0 second barrier of taking burn damage. What's the difference in -1% debuff duration and -3.8%, if both bring you under a full second. Maybe I'm missing something
Hi! I thought it would be 16 as well and verified in game with a friend that it is actually 19. I recorded it and then forgot to add it into the video. I am unsure why it is 19 instead of 16, but I am sure there is some reasoning I am missing.

Thanks for the info, I did dig into all of this before but it's much easier when you hear it summed up and with examples.

3:00 thanks for the info on the magic staff cast speed, I knew it felt slower for a reason!
Have you tried the crystal sword cast time 😂
@@kristianespinoza960 yea it feels bad too, i run sword for melee and crys ball for casting usually
i mean this has been known since the game released but sure thing.

Can you make a video explaining magic damage scaling on rogue poison, and maybe a poison rogue vs phys rogue breakdown?

THANK YOU!!!!
Wow, i just found u, awesome explanation!
What about magical healing?
does that mean i can try to get bad will as a warlock and my curses tick faster?
because the dmg is not changing in how long the curse lasts
