  • This is too much fun! The roots of this pump-action .22 rimfire rifle go back to the late 1880s when prolific firearm inventor John Moses Browning designed the first of them. Now, 130 years later, literally millions of beaut little .22 pump-actions like this have been made. We'll show you why they're still so popular.

Really neat video. I got my Rossi 62 SAC (carbine) in 1983 for $120 in NYC. You need a long gun permit to have a rifle or shotgun in Fun City. Mine has Mahogany stocks, 16.5" barrel with 11" sight radius. Mine fires Shorts, Longs and LR fodder interchangeably! It holds 15 rounds of Short ammo. My 62 SAC also lacks a disconnector and has the old half cock safety. With thousands of rounds thru it the Rossi still shoots well. Optics are a bitch to mount and a long eye relief scope is possible. Better to mount a tang peep sight. This freakin' gun just screams nostalgia. Would never sell mine, fuhgeddaboudit.

What modern day pumpy would you recommend. I was sold on the timber Rossi Gallery Gun but have seen some cracked and obliterated receivers being reported in the US already.

Not many choices in Aus at the moment. I don't think there are any Henry lever-actions in the country at the moment but they'll be back eventually.
