And streaming services and movie studios are hemorrhaging money right now. No one is watching their safe, sterile, preachy crap anymore. Southern accents are based off English accents im from the south and i can verify the accents are really close to each other i have several English reaction channels and they talk just like me so my daddy sounds the same coming from both

This is Carlin at his best (As far as the shift in everything) The thing to keep in mind the 1980 as a decade was this strange point of time it pure excess everyone was doing massive amounts of Bolivian marching powder the 90’s rolled around to some extent the 80’s mentality remained! In the mid 90’s it was huge status symbol to have a cell phone or pager…. (or both) the 2000’s started very much in the same mentality (Sept 11th happened and it broke the world for a good 2yrs people were in this odd “haze” everyone was afraid once the two years passed people sort of went of the deep end (Vicetv does a series Darkside of the 90’s & Darkside of the 2000’s) Both very interesting humanity in general took things too far with comedy, sex, drugs, and pure hatred and everything sort of bottomed out! The speaking out movement happened and just a massive shift in mind set (Which isn’t all a bad thing) if i had to guess many comedians “watered” down there act due to how damaged they are (self interested) almost all comedians are really broken toys! God know how many skeleton are in there closets Sept 11th also affected Carlin his last two HBO specials are way off maybe he’s demons got the better of him but, he was no longer funny more that angry old man yelling at the clouds (Which is a shame)
