Also, the chubby goth girl in that one clip sort of looks like Debbie Hyman from _American Dad!_ , who was briefly Steve’s girlfriend.
And yes, Peter’s boss, Mr. Weed makes him take sensitivity training after that inappropriate workplace joke, so everything sorta evens itself out there.

Hypnotherapy is an unorthodox method of treating addictions... If you go in willing to try to change your behavior, it makes your brain more receptive to the hypnotism. A good example is my mother, who smoked (tobacco) for over 40 years... She went to a hypnotherapist to quit smoking, asking him to not have her be offended by somebody else smoking around her. 20 years later, she has never felt a compulsion to smoke again, and her friends who smoke can still do so around her without her freaking out at them

Georgia, to your question at 7:30 - "Where are the police officers in Family guy?" - even in reality he would not be stopped by police, if he did not attack her DIRECTLY in front of them. There is a several MINUTES delay, between "something happened" and arrival of officers on the spot.
    1) - Police needs to get information, something bad is happening, how serious it seem to be and where it is. Generaly, they get that by a call of concerned citizen, or from CCTV street survilance. (Estimation 90 seconds)
    2) - Operator needs to find aviable officers in reasonable vicinity to the suspicious activity area. If there are no immediatley aviable, but still someone solving DIFFERENT situation in close vicinity, he needs to check the estimated severity of the crime(s), and according that decision, he either re-orders the officers to the more serious crime, or orders surveilence to focus on the suspected area, and sends the best/quickest he can. (Estimation 30 seconds)
    3) When the officers get the information, they need to travel to the suspicious activity area. Depending on specific area and current trafic, that might be in tens of minutes. But lets say they are quite close - (Estimation 3 minutes).
That gives the perpetrator/criminal even (for victim) quite favourable/fast response scenario roughly 5 minutes (300 seconds) to do what he pleases, before the police uniforms show up. The whole vid, including the part Peter was not physically involved, up to part he waited for the second kick to the ball, took 22 seconds. Even if we round it up to 30 seconds, there is literaly NO WAY, the police could save her. At that moment and at that spot, only other man around wold be CAPABLE, MENACING and QUICK in possible aplication of violence, to defend and save her. And men in western society would gravitate towards NOT doing that, because:
    A) Western men are by culture, education, lack of threats and challenges in real urban life, sisified into girlie simps, not men. Men in such state of manliness will not help ANYONE, because his ability to apply violence is close to nill. But he can trully strongly emphatize and is eager to hug people and cry with them, to share their burden.
    B) The men who are still men are SO OFTEN persecuted (sometimes even criminally) for their help, that after quick assessment they decide NOT to involve, for possible cost of his own freedom. Just remember the US marine in NY subway. He saved whole subway car of people from one criminal with psychical problems, sadly and not on purpose killed him and now he stands trial, for being EXACTLY what ALL MEN SHOULD BE, his name is public, he gets doxed and demonized by exterme leftist organizations and individuals, and NOW, he and his family can be attacked from ANY direction, simply because it is him and them. Ask your father and brothers, if such PERSONAL risk is worth of saving some elses life. - Or worth at least trying to.
BTW, if you forget the word "lawless", you can use synonima to it, like Chicago 2023, Portland 2023, New York 2022, San Francisco 2023, or, if you want to sugest it is whole STATE, than Clownifornia - 1995 and higher.

I;ve trained as hypnotist/hypnotherapist with two different organizations. I put one of my subjects (a friend who was interested in having hypnosis) into a trance to do some change work, and when she was back in the waking state she had amnesia for the entire experience. It's happened with other subjects as well. It does depend on the specific person as to whether this happens.

Love your reaction videos and Family Guy is hilarious. 😅
I once saw a hypnotherapist show.. where a woman was hypnotised and turned into a chicken. She was clucking on stage. It was hilarious. I am not sure how real it was, but it looked real. And a guy fell in love with a puppet. If it was real I feel bad for the people because they truly embarrassed themselves.

Some of the hypno stuff is true i think.
There are a lot of weak minded people who don't need hypno to be influenced.
In reality, the police are always 10-15 minutes away from anything. Bad guys typically choose places cops are not around to do crime.
I have said it before, i like your commentary. I don't really see it as rants. It feels more conversational and not intrusive like a rant is.

I think it's Derren Brown you're on about Georgia and... I'll preface this by saying I'm a psychologist and trainee psychotherapist and I have a keen interest in all things supernatural, anomalous or mind expansionist so I've looked into this quite a bit. The simple answer is no... it's not real... not exactly anyway.
Without delving into a whole conversation about what 'real' actually means, I suppose what I would say is that there are some people that are incredibly agreeable and prone to be influenced by the power of suggestion, that's basically what Derren is doing, he's using psychological tricks in the same way that a magician uses 'magic' tricks.
A hypnotist cannot, as far as the literature is currently concerned, control your mind and make you do things against your will, but if you are easily influenced and open to the power of suggestion they may be able to somewhat subconsciously convince you to do particular things.
It's no more magical than, for example, try giving an easy to follow direct command to somebody, anyone, and what you'll find is typically they will at least try to follow it or if they refuse they'll make up some kind of excuse, which tells you that they felt some kind of compulsion to follow it.
Now take that and multiply it by authority, for example the Milgram Obedience Studies in the 1960s and subsequent ethically reconsidered replications - people were willing to defer decision making responsibilities up to the point of murder because they were commanded to do so by an authority figure.
The studies referenced above were wrought in light on the atrocities that occurred in Germany in the 1940s, particularly a unit of the police force called Police Battalion 101, they were ordinary coppers with ordinary lives and ordinary families, but they became a ruthless, soulless killing force seemingly overnight. The defense given by them as well as many other units/actors in the catastrophes as that they were 'Just Following Orders' - it's remarkable what people will do when faced with the power of suggestion plus authority.
Derren doesn't' necessarily utilise authority to get the results he does, but simply by virtue of being a big personality, with some fame and being on a TV show, being seen to 'call the shots' the perception of authority is there, which is why he's only become more successful with it since his audience started growing.
I do like him and his shows are entertaining, though I have to say, I wonder how edited these things are, how many fails did they cut out before they got the string of hypnotised zombies we see on TV (assuming it isn't scripted)? I'd guess a lot, but I don't know.
So in Summary, it's not 'real' in the dictionary definition of the word, that is to say, the people may not necessarily be aware that they are pretending, but the literature at present suggests that they are not so much 'mind controlled' or 'hypnotised' as they are deferring decision-making responsibility regarding their actions to another person whom they deem to be of greater authority.
Hope that helps - and remember ye this.... if you ever need an entire essay answer written to a 3 word question... I'm your guy.
