I love Ricky and Bill. I love their styles of humor. Ricky just gets in really good burns. His jokes know no boundaries. Bill is a better story teller. I would happy pay for front row seats to see either of those guys. Sitting front row at a comedy club is a blast.

A lot of people don't know this, but you do. I'm Canadian, so I've followed Ricky for a while. The stuff he did hosting the Golden Globes are ridiculously tame compared to some of his UK stand up. Everyone lost their minds when at the end of one of the Globes, he said, "I'd like to thank God, for making me an atheist." That's just an opinion. It's just a joke. It's nothing. He's told jokes that make that one look like child's play. I grew up on politically incorrect jokes, largely from the UK. If you haven't seen Blazing Saddles or The Producers, made by the great New York satirist Mel Brooks, you should check them out. He's one of the few guys stateside who actually goes in hard. Blazing Saddles mocks racism and The Producers mocks both racism and homophobia - in 1974 and 1968, respectively. There's a hilarious 2003 version of The Producers that is a musical and based on the stage play version, and John Barrowman of Doctor Who and Torchwood makes a very memorable but shocking appearance. Pretty much every Mel Brooks movie is terrific in its own way. You'd really enjoy them. Tracey Ullman had a hilarious role in Robin Hood: Men In Tights from 1993, playing a very horny witch, obsessed with the Sheriff of...Rottingham. It's very funny. There's a scene where she almost breaks character and laughs because the line is so funny. I won't spoil it for you.

Uhm, I doubt he was told that he was rude. This “oh I cant offend anyone” type of society is a rather recent aberration. Comedy very often was to point at the problems in society and laugh at them. It brings awareness as well as relieves some of the stress these things bring into our lives.

Ricky is great. George Carlin, Bill Burr, Ricky Gervais, Jim Jefferies are all great. If you want get really dark, Anthony Jeselnik is amazing.
