If I added the Titan direct extruder to my CR 10 V2 does that make it a V3 and do I need to update the firmware ?
Hello, I have a problem with the v3 update firmware, the process works perfectly but the files indicate that they all correspond to v2 and that is what the machine screen indicates, could you check the link? I really need to fix this and the necessary firmware cannot be found by other means.
when you click the link for the cr10 v3 the firmware that downloads is actually for the CR10v2, you have no actual links to cr10v3
which version is the latest update and where is it available, in your site CR-10 V3 doesn't exist under firmware tab!!!

Its the same firmware, DD titan V2 basically is the V3.

when I try to upload firmware it says failed to connect to machine, some one know why this is happening?
I have the same problem, try putting the .hex file on the sd card, give it another name and connect it when it is turned off. Then turn it on and let the program install. Finally turn it off and remove the sd card and turn it back on.
It worked for me and then I wanted to test if I could upload the file again with my settings and it didn't work.
when i go to MACHINE SETTINGS it wont let me select a com port it will only stay on AUTO. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the slicer but that did not help. I tried installing firmware but it would only tell me "please connect printer to the computer with USB" even though it was and the printer control box was light up from usb power
Friend, you need to install the driver for your computer first before set your printer. Could you pls email at cs@creality.com?And they will send you necessary dirver and installation steps

Ive been trying to install firmware for days now, I just wanted to print. Machine does not connect to the computer at all, followed each step here and the readme files. Does not work, I have a paperweight right now instead of a product!
You need the plugin CH304 that is inside of the factory SD. Do you have the original firmware? because I tried to download it and the zip format is not correct. I can't open it.
Did you figure this out? My printer no longer speaks to my laptop? Says unknown device when I plug in the USB? Is a v2 with abl I need to change the firmware again to use the titan or just print from the laptop anymore.
Why does the firmware show an Ender 3? 1:47 into the video you're upgrading the firmware with Ender 3/Ender 3 pro/Ender 3S and not CR-10 V3.
Thats maybe caused by a simple reason. The install window isn't able to show all supported models. As you can see, it says Ender3 SLASH Ender 3S ... and the rest, you don't see it. The machine use the same firmeware i guess as the Ender 3. They don't make new firmeware from scratch for every machine. Why should they.
It doesn't connect on my CR-10 V3 and there is no information except from this video that doesn't even uses CR-10 V3... I just bought and installed the BLTOUCH and the Probe settings are not showing in the settings.
Watch the videos out there. I think that you need to use the V2 version as the V3 doesn't support the Touch. There's a few videos out there and read the comments more than watch the video.

The v3 download link although it says V3 the actual firmware says V2! Do you understand? so what the hell?
it looks v2 and v3 use the same firmware just change some hardware characteristics, actually you can upgrade v2 to v3 changing the extruder
@@rubenalejandropootpena4033 I saw another video that said that Creality has said the the firmware is the same with the exception that the V2 supports the BL-Autotouch. Having said that the person doing the video was trying to get the BL-Autotouch to work on the V3 and it wasn't properly working. Whether it was the operator or the unit I can't say since I don't have one of these, yet.

What does this do? Ice had my v3 since June and it's only worked for 2 months. I haven't gotten a successful print since September. The interface got super slow, I put the creality pei sheet on it, but a crtouch, that wasn't compatible, bought a bltouch, that hasn't helped. The first layer goes down fine but prints never finish and selecting options on the screen is like waiting for ferry after you just missed it. The reseller has been great but I've sunk a lot of time and money into a printer that I believe is a factory default. My plain ender 3 runs flawlessly and cost 1/4 of the price. If you read this creality please help me! I love the other creality printers I have but I am running out of warranty time and options. I'm getting a new power supply from the seller but I do not believe this will fix it. I have mental illnesses and I use my printers for charity because I'm unable to work anymore but I am high functioning and this has been very emotionally draining. I would be happy with an ender pro, the new model as a replacement without a warranty renewal after June. It took me forever to save up for it and the money I've spent on it needlessly puts the price I've paid well over 1000. Every part has been official creality products. I only print pla so the material isn't causing the problem.

@@Creality3D I appreciate it but in what way? A replacement is the only option I can think of. Everything except the mainboard has been replaced.
@@jstro-hobbytech i AM HAVING SAME PROBLEM ! But I have replaced mainboard and now the bed will not heat. it out of warranty I have bought 3 of them one was able to be returned got stuck with two paper weights, promised part's they never came.
@@wenzellstocker9401 man. I had it working again for 2 rolls of filament and now it's back. My ender is just as bad. I'm changing all the wheels and belts and that's it.
If your bed isn't heating take the wires out and see if there is any voltage at the port when it's off vs on. If it shows the 24vdc both times put a hotend cartridge in there and put the end somewhere like hang it over the x axis or something then turn it on 50 which is the minimum and see if the heater gets hot.

Why is this a hex file, that is for old motherboards, should this not be a BIN file ?

Have you ever figured this out? I can't get mine to connect either.
Mine has been great....then terrible. Come to find out its NOT an all-metal hotend or extruder. They simply swapped out a problematic plastic idler arm for a metal one and called that an "all metal extruder kit". People like me come along and think theyre getting an all metal hot end or at LEAST an all metal extruder and therye getting neither. Mine wont print reliably above 240C (which is everything I need to print) so its basically junk to me. The hot end isnt an E3D. Its a clone with a shorter heat sink so there are no easy "drop-in" options I'm aware of. Its starting to look like major surgery replacing the entire print head because I suspect the extruder is not a genuine E3D either. Taking it apart it looks like a meth addicted monkey put in the threaded brass inserts that hold the print head together. Also, the part cooling ducts are melting after 6 weeks of use printing nothing hotter than PETG. If you cant tell, Im super UNIMPRESSED with my CR-10v3. I have an email into customer service so we will see what they say. I can tell you if I have to buy a whole new printer it will NOT be anything from Creality.

I’m sorry I disliked it. I disliked the video because your tutorial for the Cr-10 V2 with titan direct drive on TH-cam AND the paper instructions that come with the the titan were wrong. Thankfully I saw THIS video and tried doing it this way and it worked. Creality should delete the old Cr-10 V2 installation video and make a new tutorial EXACTLY the way this video instructed.
yeah I instaled it and now I have a V2, interface sucks and is very diffent, there is not even the option to change filament as I used to be. Now I fu.....ed. the worst, the store I bought it from gave me the same link !!!

I'm trying to install CR-Touch Firmware but the firmware i got from your site is a .bin not .hex
do you prefer .hex ?
@@Creality3D Well i think it's no point of preferation. In my Case the Auto Install from SD card, which is showed in the manual, does not work.
@@chriwi and it's just par for the course for them. Overall they do not care and I am disappointed that I tried another Creality product
@@chriwi did you manage to get it working, i have just purchaces the cr touch and seen the same thing, only a bin file and no auto install either?
@@stuliles7652 i installed the firmware made for BLTouch on the Printer via USB cable and PC/Slicer software.
It works fine.
