Thanks so much everyone for checking out the video and dropping feedback below! Greatly appreciate it and definitely a future video coming on this wrecker. I used to work for the Police department and worked on those light bars all the time. Some advice for you: take the yellow covers off and polish them up with polishing compound. A lot of times you can make them look great and remove alot of the hazyness. Also, while you have them off, spray a squirt of PB into the ports on the electric Motors, and spray some lithium grease on the plastic gears that drive the rotating lights. Also remove the bulbs and lubricate the sockets. The bulbs should be halogen, but 50 amp 1156's will work as well. Cool truck!
I just wanted to let Chris know how happy I am for his success. It takes a lot of patience and organization to bring us these videos. Most people have no idea how many hours of unused video you have to scrub through and sit on for a long time in order to put together a presentation like this. These aren't simple workman vlogs. There are dozens of other channels that are doing the same types of mechanic work, and the viewers can scroll back through this channels' earlier videos to see examples of the kind of vlogs everyone else is putting out today. It takes patience and organization to wait until a story has a beginning, middle, and end, skill to edit that story together.

It's hard to decide what to include and what not. Can't thank you enough for checking the videos out! Really appreciate the support
I grew up around wreckers like that, my dad had a garage/towing company with 4 trucks. Brings back memories, thanks. Keep the videos coming, I like a man who isn't afraid of hard work.
I really love watching a craftsperson plying their trade. I've no idea why X needs oiled, removed or changed, or where to even start diagnosing but seeing someone who really knows their stuff is a thing of beauty.
I never got the whole ASMR thing, but when you go clanking around on the old cars and heavy equipment, it's very relaxing sounds lol Everything from a dry rotted line cracking, opening a squeaky door or just pulling dip sticks. This is awesome ,its incredible how everything simply works again after so much sitting , I was waiting for that pressure wash ! he even did it in the rain ,what a champ
Truly amazing to watch. So much knowledge and skill, stumbled upon this channel a few week’s ago and haven’t been able to stop watching! For tyres pre 2000 the DOT still work’s except it’s a 3 digit not 4. Tyres made in the 80’s first 2 numbers are the week last number is the year, 90’s tyres are the same except they have an indent after the last number.
Got to be fair I just love everything about this guy I mean they are many dudes doing this much better or worse than him but he has my touch just makes me happy watching him work
I hate when people cut up the video's and turn one video into a month with 20 minutes an episode. Junkyard Digs is bad for that stuff I would rather have it long like this only NNSNH, Mortske Repair and Sleeper Dude are the only ones that keep them long like this and I like it.
Man , you are a hard worker. It’s like you have 40 years of experience and the energy of a 20 year old. I had to have a look in . I spent a year or more in the area working , I did the start up on the Linden PSEG power facility 2003 to 2005 . Lived in Rahway & a North Brunswick. The success you have attained with this you tube , I hope continues. This is what makes America so great. Cheers Alberta Dave 🇨🇦😊
Awesome old wrecker! I had an 87 K5 Blazer with that same 350 TBI engine. Man, that thing was a reliable beast! Had to sell her to make a couple house payments back in 08 so the wife and I could keep our house, still looking to replace it with another 87 or 88 K5. Those 350 TBI engines were so tough and reliable, maybe not a ton of power, but definitely got the job done....and still do! Thanks, bro, for another great rescue! Looks like you have a way to get more cool stuff home now. Love it! Oh, and major props to Jen for putting up with your obsession. I also found me a "car girl" and married her 18 years ago, so glad I did! Stay safe, brother.
Thank you for all the work you put in. I find my self looking for new content more and more often. Best from Greece, driving home to Norway next week so I really really loved your Torino vids with the roadtrip. Keep it up :)
FINALLY! an hour spent with you guys, there are very few I wish would put out an hour or so and you are at the top, great content, love Jen, Gus and the backyard art lol... Keep it up Bro!
Pretty cool video! I had an uncle that had his own towing business back in the day! He sadly passed away back in 2005! The business is gone, the building is long gone, it’s just an empty lot now with grass. You would never of known it was there. He was a great man and humble down to his core, salt of the earth kind of guy! I love history and with you going out doing these cool adventures are cool to watch. One fellow mechanic to another we’re more than just a paycheck, know our worth! Protect your peace! 😎
59 years old and just lost some feeling left palm from smacking tools. I don't recommend using hands as hammers! Very refreshing to see someone who is conscious about others. Rare thing today.
Hey I know you didn't want to keep the tow truck but I think it would be very useful and I think it's incredibly cool. Looking forward to more video's with it.
Man I just want to thank you for such a cool channel…big inspiration to all us humble diy’ers out here..:) I’m sure my wife is not as big a fan as me, mostly cause I keep bringing home silly projects..but hey, thanks again for the uploads…
Great channel and content. You can ramble all you want, you drop much appreciated info and insights in your commentary. You Jen and Gus are a great team.
I hope we get to see some more of this thing. Would definitely be nice to see you either get a tilt deck trailer, or a deck over trailer. Makes it easier to fit junk on and bring it home.
Man! I can taste the rust and gasoline. Feel the dirt and grime in the eyeballs. Sooo many years ago. Can’t do it anymore but get charged up watching you do it. You are one tough son of a gun! Another huge score on the stainless drain pan!!! Looking forward to another video on the wrecker. This was a great one!
Another great video Chris. Always something to learn. 87 and newer trucks had the fuel tank baffles for efi. And I think all non AC trucks had the manual kick panel vents.
Enjoy the things you post. Love the square body tow truck. You need it for all you do. Your basic technical knowledge of how things work surpasses what most have your age. Your a rare individual. I have restored a 1983 Silverado long bed with a camper shell on it. I drag raced at Atco during the 60"s. Grew up in Cherry Hill with the car seen.
I've been a subscriber since very early on. I follow a lot of will it run channels on youtube but I have to say your's is one of the best. Excellent content and quite entertaining. Well done!
The wrecker series is one of my favorites. I love vehicles that serve a practical purpose, I am a function over form guy. Given what you do a rig that can move cars and haul around heavy loads with its crane, a worthwhile investment indeed.
A little tip for you anytime you are working on a wreaker or flatbed with a wheel lift you can raise it up and put 4x4 blocks or something under it then lower it down to lift the back end of the truck. Saves you from even needing a jack.
Thanks for the channel Chris. Enjoy your content and look forward to more. Im not even a car guy. I just like skilled people showing how its done and learning from people who know their stuff. It's all very interesting. Gus is awesome. Your beautiful partner is a great singer and hope to hear more. Congratulations on your success. Well deserved.
New tank in, sort the brakes, spot of welding, a gallon of underseal, then you have yourself a routing tooting, spit spot, tip top wrecker there Mr. I think it's a blessing in disguise that that eejut didn't follow through. A right result. Well done ❤

You really have taught me so much in the last year..I have seem every video and love Jen as well..u did great meeting an amazing girl that sings as butifuly as she and her old soul are..you both are so great..and thank you for the amazing content..rub gus' head for me and keep it up!!!
I just spent around 2 hours and 20 minutes watching your videos today and find myself desiring more 🤔 Can't say that about any of the other channels I'm subscribed to.
Good work Chris on the mechanicals repairing and video production. Top notch as always. I like that you look at the tools you picked up on the tow truck and mention it that they're made in USA and the history of the company sometimes. Real high class and informative content there.
Thanks for the time and effort. I really enjoy the road trip adventures. be great to see another classic pick up from afar and drive it back, with Jen and Gus. Be great to see you pop around to another well known "will it run" TH-camr for a visit during the trip back like you did with poll barn garage. JB
Really fun to watch you do your very cool wrenching. I am super impressed with your no nonsense know how! Your video skills are second to none and the real life snippets are entertaining and fun. Love that little Gus and hopefully squirrelly boy will show up again from his travels. Looking forward to more videos about this wrecker!
thanks bro i cant get enough of this,im in Australia and i would love to do the same thing you are as im a mechanic to,when you heading to Australia mate?id love to show you some old rigs down here mate
Just found your channel about 2 months ago and have watched just about every will it run video you have made. Absolutely love watching you bring stuff back to life. I have 4 boys, from 6 to 16. Really wanting to find something myself and teach them as we find out “will it run” lol… Question is, how and where do you come across these vehicles.. I don’t wanna get ripped off, so what’s a good price for something
You didn't ask me. But there's no good answer. The deals are almost always found offline. Gotta drive around out in farm country & down alleyways in cities. Find something that's not for sale on the internet.
I have not watch this video after one year right once it came out is when I was watching it and I lost power so once it came back on, I could not find this and I finally find it after one year
Just found your videos recently, your energy enthusiasm and good old know how has got me hooked ,there wouldn't be a real man in this world who doesn't love old tow trucks
I've been thinking about getting a daily driver tow truck, vintage that is, for years... you got real lucky with that one and it looks and sounds like a strong runner! by the way I loved the drag strip, you got the most adorable dog in the world, I think everybody would agree with me, you just keep being you dude..
Great to see back to the basics Way to fix the older cars I know you know the new cars too, but when you have the knowledge you have you can fix anything! I’m 53 and a lot of younger guys don’t know the basics I have a auto shop in Southeast Louisiana I have your videos playing on my TVI really enjoy them! Kelly
I love this guy's vibes would be cool hanging around him he's the type of person in the neighborhood that's fixes your go kart or mini bike when I was a kid
The he'll with that guy that dogged you on the wrecker. Trust me a lot of other folks will want. The more you dig into it the nicer it's becoming. Your definitely a talented young man keep them coming I enjoy ur videos.
Oh man, I love you videos! Found them a few weeks ago and I love taking derelict crap and making it go too but not to your level. The tow truck , the little jet ski and today the blow boat!!! Fricken awesome. So low key and practical and having tons of fun😂👍💪🏻🥃
I had plans today. But then I came across yer Videos. Needless to say I got nothing done today thanks to finding this channel. I guess that says it all.
I must say seeing to tow truck brought me back i had the 1978 GMC High Siearra with the ready built tow body on it out of KC MO, loved it didnt have the wheel lift just the sling but great truck!!!!!!!!! Keep making your great videos, Gary
That air bag jack is exactly the same as mine, been using it in the shop and out on site for about a year, the pump up jacks are almost redundant now! Love the thing!! Another great video, thanks.
Love watching this guy wide open keeps my attention constantly speaking what he’s thinking shows honesty like th ex way you think buddy I could enjoy assisting in adventure with you lol keep it up some awesome finds diamonds in the rough are everywhere
Have a lot of seat time in one of those beasts. Towed from 1986 - 2003. Loved that work. Especially the Boston winters on the side of RT128, laying in slush, pulling transmission pins. Good times.
Lots of nostalgia in this video. I learned to drive in an 85 C30, that one was diesel, but the interior was identical. Low gear on that 4 speed is non synchro, that’s why it didn’t want to go in, and to find reverse aim for where a passengers kneecap would be.

Cool truck!
I wrote all that down.
I just wanted to let Chris know how happy I am for his success. It takes a lot of patience and organization to bring us these videos. As a wrecker driver myself, I would love to see this thing fixed up and working again. The old square body wrecker is an icon of the towing industry.

Good work Chris on the mechanicals repairing and video production. Top notch as always. I like that you look at the tools you picked up on the tow truck and mention it that they're made in USA and the history of the company sometimes. Real high class and informative content there.
No video by NNKH is "too long". Great save on that tow truck.
Thanks for the time and effort. I really enjoy the road trip adventures. be great to see another classic pick up from afar and drive it back, with Jen and Gus. Be great to see you pop around to another well known "will it run" TH-camr for a visit during the trip back like you did with poll barn garage. JB
Great to see a real mechanic work and explain what he is doing
Really fun to watch you do your very cool wrenching. I am super impressed with your no nonsense know how!
Your video skills are second to none and the real life snippets are entertaining and fun. Love that little Gus and hopefully squirrelly boy will show up again from his travels. Looking forward to more videos about this wrecker!
Hey, this is Mark I got 19 years out of an Optima. I was very pleased.
thanks bro i cant get enough of this,im in Australia and i would love to do the same thing you are as im a mechanic to,when you heading to Australia mate?id love to show you some old rigs down here mate
That would be awesome to make it out there one day. Long flight though! I've seen some cool videos on Mack Trucks from guys in Australia
Love the show wish we live closer seams like a cool guy too hang out with .
I'm so happy I found your channel, so nice to see people near Jersey just living their best life. Very inspiring thank you
I have not watch this video after one year right once it came out is when I was watching it and I lost power so once it came back on, I could not find this and I finally find it after one year
Just found your videos recently, your energy enthusiasm and good old know how has got me hooked ,there wouldn't be a real man in this world who doesn't love old tow trucks
The guy blocked you because his wife said no🤣🤣😂😂
Love the soprano’s music in the background when you were driving lol
Love how you are not afraid to tackle anything on wheels, great shows keep em coming.
The Tow Truck is a "beaut, Clark !" Definite keeper. I love how you insert clips of the pups ! Keep up the great work! TIMBO
Nice touch with the Sopranos music in the background 🤜🏻🤛🏻👍🏻
I enjoy the fact you go all the way with the cars in terms of getting them running, a long video from you is always a good one.
I've been thinking about getting a daily driver tow truck, vintage that is, for years... you got real lucky with that one and it looks and sounds like a strong runner! by the way I loved the drag strip, you got the most adorable dog in the world, I think everybody would agree with me, you just keep being you dude..
Who doesn't have a want or a need for a wrecker / tow truck? I love it!
Awesome video! I grew up and spent a lot of years 2 blocks from Dabal’s garage and towing so I was totally floored when I saw the truck on your video.
I Live right on Atco Ave near RT 30 that's great you were at Atco Ave..
Good times.
Kudos from India, Mumbai. U r a magician mate. An hour just flies watching u bring the metal back to life. 👍💥🙏
Lots of nostalgia in this video. I learned to drive in an 85 C30, that one was diesel, but the interior was identical.
Low gear on that 4 speed is non synchro, that’s why it didn’t want to go in, and to find reverse aim for where a passengers kneecap would be.
Your knowledge and skills to get anything working are very impressive.
I went to high school with that guy George’s daughter LOL recognized him immediately and I remember he always cooked AMAZING brisket.
