I've seen others try to do these road trips and they are completely useless! You guys (inc Gus) have a wonderful formula that is captivating! NEVER change and keep doing what yous do... I sit glued to the screen every video!
If that is a former MedicMaster and/or American LaFrance truck and built between 2002 - 2008, there's a better than even chance my previous company built those cabinets in the rear and the console - I did over 500 units for them back in that time period. Still have all the CAD drawings/CNC programing for them. Love your channel!

Can’t wait for the N600 video. I have a 1964 N600 that I restored several years ago. 330 gas, 4 speed with 2 speed.. I have spare parts if you end up keeping it and need anything.
Nice rig you scored on. Nice return trip and a race ,and a Gus. The wiener mobile was in town about 12 years ago for a parade. I took my wiener dog to the parade . I walked out to the Wiener Mobile holding up my doggie. At that time the local paper took a photo. I had my picture on the front page holding my Wiener next to the Wiener Mobile. That’s the stuff you can’t make up.

These videos are so cool to watch. I looked at the video's length and thought about how long it was. In the end, I couldn't get enough. It's still amazing how talented you are as a mechanic. If I was 30 years younger this would be so much fun. Also, you really need to upgrade Gus's bed. Stay safe and I look forward to your next video.
I'll turn 80 tomorrow and I love this stuff. I've watched a ton of different channels and this one is my favorite. Chris, you are one lucky guy to have found a lady who is so supportive and goes along with everything. Whatever she wants, make sure she gets it.

Naa my doctor did put me on something like those, they didn't help that much as you'd think. That was many many years ago. I don't like taking anything though really, I don't even drink alcohol. But I think that kind of med does help a lot of other people.

Just watched this trip after watching the Vegas trip and a few others and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You and Jen and Gus mix the mechanical and adventuring fun perfectly. Especially fun to see you stomping around my adopted home of 39 years in Pompano Beach and Deerfield. I am also a Pennsylvania native from Norristown and still love the northeast. I actually drive by that truck dealer on Dixie Highway almost every day. Anyway, love the videos and the trips and all of the know how that you share. It's really nice to see your teamwork and how you are not afraid to stop anywhere or try anything and Jen is certainly a great partner and has a nice voice as well. And Gus is absolutely the cutest dachshund ever. I'm going to keep catching up and enjoying all of the adventures and projects so keep it going and safe travels.

My diesel service teacher, back in my highschool days, created an electrical issue on a Ford ambulance for us to diagnose. It was insanely overwhelming how many wires we had to test. We had 24 guys throughout the year try to figure out the issue and none of us could figure it out. On the last day of school, Mr. Bair jumped in the ambulance with a multimeter and found the issue in 10 minutes.
Love it.. we bought an ambulance a few years ago. Been converting it a little at a time. Stripped out all the electrical crap. We did an E450 with the 7.3.
Dude these videos are the best. Real life travels across the best country ever. I'm hopeful you end up keeping the old tow truck. That screams your name all over it. I see NNKH decals on the doors as your cruising down the road picking up the next BIG thing....You and your girl rock these videos....PS Gus was the star of the show.

I REALLY dig the ambulance. I've thought about trying to pick one up to turn into an RV as well. In regards to the fan clutch issue. I know that in most modern cars they turn on and run the electric fans 100% of the time you have the AC on. Since you guys were down in sunny, humid, sticky Florida I imagine you also had the AC on full time which means, if i'm right, why the fan clutch was engaged the entire time.
Yeah I checked to see if it was the AC causing it to stay on. It was not

Thank you for saving that great turn into service Rig/ live aboard. Will tell you don't worry about him with Battery Charger on. On my Restoration 1971 SeaGrave Engine (8-71 Detroit Diesel) myself keep trickle charger on her. I left the Battery isolation switch on once, Battery went Dead, as far as enough STARTING power. Get ( Harbor freight) trickle charger for her. My BIG two Batteries system NEED the trickle charge. That's NOT me, that's the Heavy Duty shop guys who do work on her, stuff I can't Do.( My clutch was Rebuilt) when Battery isolation is in OFF position for all those former FD or EMS Rigs, keep a small charge ( plug in) to the system. It will really Help on start up. Keep checking Battery VOLTAGE.

I love this rig… I use to drive the 4 door version of this beast. It was setup to be dual gurneys. I miss her. She was a stinky thirsty girl 😂 but pretty dependable. First responders in Florida always get big budgets for fleets etc …

The more videos you post the closer to actually being part of your wonderful family I feel. It was all about the vehicles at first but when Jen and Gus become part of the journey everything changes.
When I heard Jen singing, I got to admit I busted out in tears!
I watch your videos mainly because I'm now a housebound disabled Army veteran and can't do anything I used to do that brought me joy and gave me something to look forward to. All my activities that used to fuel a reason to get up from my bed and enjoy the day are gone. It's very difficult to find reasons to live, y'all give me hope and allow me to look forward to something positive, especially when those rare moments spring up, like hearing Jen sing! I'll tell you now, she's an incredible singer! Great vibrato! Watching your videos is educational and heart warming!!
