Having fun in Guild Wars 2 but damn im always so tempted to come back to WoW.
retired from wow back during the middle of Cata and I tried coming back during legion but just couldn't do it. When classic came out I had a blast but thanks to the over the top meta players I just couldn't stick around for Wraith 2. Real shame on my half but times change
the part i hate is never being able to experience old expansions again when they were fresh. that's just life.
You can always go through Classic WoW as they go through different expansions, will offer the same experience if you've never done it before. However it is impossible to experience those same nostalgic memories again if you have them
Man, I'd love to agree with your take on the community but I have only experienced toxicity that's why I play this game like a single player game and avoid dungeons/raids as much as possible. First time I tried going to a normal dungeon I told them I was new because that's what I am used to in FFXIV and one guy asked me to watch a video guide... on a normal dungeon. For some reason, GW2 and FFXIV communities are not like this

No other game has cultivated a community that is so focused on efficiency because the others have fair monetization models.
thats a outlier forsure tho ive played for well over 10 years off n on and never experienced that only welcoming chill vibes in random qued lvling dungs now if ur playing end game and u get in a mythic key run u better watch a guide.
Thanks for the video. All I wanna know is - are there any areas where Blizzard actually took effort into some speech/voice over for the quests? I just finished the trial (level 20) and the quests are so dull when all you have is read read read (which I never do). It feels so lazy.
While many questlines do have voiceover moments, the quest text itself is almost never voiced. There is an adddon for classic wow that uses ai to do it, and it's nice. Although I guess I rarely do quests if I can avoid it so I don't even notice.

shadowland was my last expansion im going to try it for a month maybe every two or three months dunno yet still considering it 4 years out of the game is a long time

@@Bleachguy2023 aww dat sucks. Hope u get the opportunity to try it :). I picked it up again after stopping in shadowlands. Its way better now. I feel like the only thing if needs to get back on top is a little overhaul in the sense of there is a lot of random shit in the game that is old and useless. But i feel like the people talk so much smack about it for no reason, when they are improving it so much:/ i find it really fun :)

new player experience(was playing at launch of dragonflight, got 2.8k rating in M+ twice): u need to play meta, players arent friendly, they wont help You. If you are playing a class thats not meta You dont get party, dont be invited, so You need to lvl new character every season. You cant make mistakes in M+ cause there is a timer, and your party will dispand if You wipe. So you need to know everythink before You enter dungeon, like spells to interput, shortcuts. This game is rly not player friendly. And the gameplay: to do the damage/your job/You need to use like 15 skills, and you need to press them right on point in additional You need to instal at least 10 addons that help You play.
Sounds like you spent too much time on Twitter. Meta matters once you start passing those 23 keys, but the vast majority of players aren’t running that content. I run non-meta most seasons, and have plenty of players asking me to join their keys.
When I first started playing wow a bit before the release of burning crusade, it was a mindblowing experience. I just could not leave this world and I studied every piece of lore I could find. The thing is that in the last couple of years I ve lost that feeling of awe. Everything is very predictable, the community is as toxic as ever and there is nothing left to impress me. I mean, we ve traveled to other dimensions, we traveled in time and heck we even traveled to the afterlife. What more is there to blow us away. In recent years I pay for a monthly subscription here and there, play for said month and thats it. I believe the only way Blizzard can pull more people in this world nowdays, is to completele revamp EVERYTHING, or better yet to shut down wow and start working on its successor. I love World of Warcraft but I hate to see it crumble under its own weight. The foundations must be remade and reinforced in order for the rest of the structure to be steady.

Mmo players today are like sheep. They need someone to tell them if they should play a game or not. The game has a free trial to level 20, so you can see for yourself.
Wanted to come back after 10 years, but Blizzard is giving me a hard time recovering my old account, and I don't want to start all over.
im considering returning after a 4 year Hyades reason i left was subscription and real life i would be like a new player joining would probably have to start a new character to get back into it but i know once you get to dungeons and raids you pretty much stay in that area for a long time first off i need install the game im happy i have the bike from lv1 and hierlooms tho i only use the helm shoulders back and trinkets but im sure alot has changed since i played back then shadowlands was the last expansioni played and have expansions cost alot to 50 to 100 euro
I had an important question. Do I get all the expansions except Dragonflight if I buy a subscription? Or do I have to buy Dragonflight separately to access all the older expansions?
The sub gets you access to all content before dragonflight, as well as classic, season of discovery, and some others.
Also worth noting that if you purchase the War Within preorder you also get dragonflight with it

i think the cummunity is crap everywhere you go and ask for help everyone ignores you or you get a dumb response from a 10 year old kid i quit after cataclysm as i didint like the way it felt after lichking but have tried many times to return but the game feels so dead everywhere you go it feels empty is it still this way today?
Possibly just depends on where you look. My personal community and my guild are both incredible groups of helpful and supportive players. I personally love the WoW community, even if toxicity does exist in places. However, its not always the best for for everyone.

Absolutely! And finding a solid guild that fits your needs will help give you a closer group of friends to play with

Is it worth it if you are completely new with no progress?
Absolutely! Wow is a seasonal game, so every new season that comes out has catchup mechanics to make it easy to get caught up fairly quickly with gear and skill.

Game is too bloated, needs a hard reset WoW 2 everyone reset. Couple new classes, new story, new races Orgrimmar more advanced, better graphics etc. PvP is too complicated for new players only veteran players reach high rating

Do you have to be in a guild or party to do the end game content? As a new player, i feel very intimidated by how toxic advanced players can be towards newer players. I just want to enjoy the story and collect nice gear.
Depends on some of it. They’ve recently added Follower Dungeons so that you can experience that content, however it does not extend into mythic dungeons and raids still require being with people. There is still plenty of endgame content that can be done without a group tho. Finding a positive guild can be one of the best experiences the game has to offer tho, and if you’re looking for a community with a few friends you’re always welcome to hangout on my discord. We’ve got some very experienced players who are dedicated to helping new players learn and have a good time.
is there a way to avoid the subscription fee. i remember talking to one of my friends that used to play syaing he used to pay 15,000 coins of in game currency to pay for the game
I have a few friends who pay their subscription cost and buy future expansions with ingame gold. It's very doable! Might take a few months to learn best practices and get the knowledge necessary to pull it off though.

Haven’t played in years, with the new dragonflight update do I still need to purchase older expansion packs to get access to the full game like back in the day?
If you purchase the pre-order for The War Within (next expansion) you will get access to Dragonflight and all past expansions. Wow now only requires the latest expansion.

What do you mean by this? 95% of the content from the past 20 years doesnt even need to be touched. In case you misunderstand, you don't have to level through every single expansion just to play the current game.

Game is not balance, they would nerf my favorite class rogue since day 1. Game is too time consuming. Classic was the shit, since lvling process was way more fun and world PVP. Now everyone just want to rush to late game. This game needs an entirely new concept or makeover like world of warcraft 2 with two new factions like a new alien race attacking the hordes and alliance. Use to love this game, but ended up hating it more. Dota 2 is currently my favorite game since its the real PVP, that world of warcraft is missing

So if you're a no lifer, come back... if you are a casual Andy, you need not apply... look at my name... just sayin'. I remember in wow past when a mostly single player like me, could complete several 40 man raids per week and get decent gear. Devs care about the hardcore and not the casuals. They could cater to both if they wanted to.
