It is 50cc equivalent most people don't do that kind of miles in one day i would say.. i did ~150miles in 2 years with mine:) (avarage distance in 100s of meters, i actually use it often). it is still annoying to charge the battery tho, but it is not the time that is the problem, at least for me, it is removing the battery, bringing it inside etc. To be clear i have cheap "no-name" electric scooter, with range even smaller than that. I think it is about 7miles😀 i only paid 900eur for brand new one. One thing this is probably very good for is hilly areas as it is probably much better than 50ccm petrol scooter. Mine is quite good already but i assume this is even better. I also use it sometimes in the night and it comes handy to not wake anyone with noise as i have it parked directly bellow bedroom.
This bike is an insult to long time Yamaha customers. How can you market a scooter that can barely drive 45 minutes before needing an 8 hour recharge (0-100). A 20-80% charge takes 4 hours and gets you just 22km range. So in practice youll have to charge it every damn time you get to your destination.
I'm sorry, but electric vehicles are not the future. The price of £4k for something so compromised is comical. With 4k in my pouch i would buy a CB125F with change or a Super Cub. Either would last far longer, hold better residuals and be ready to go in minutes having added fuel.
Range is weaker than many E bikes. Costs way more. It’s got long recharge times. Honestly you can get on an e-bike that performs better than this! Disappointed in Yamaha for this. 125cc equivalent would be better, plus it needs better range. A 125cc does well over 100mpg - the Honda CBF does 150mpg easily they claim 188mpg on the latest one. Hardly consuming lots of fuel. Plus the batteries in this are full of terrible chemicals which are bad for the planet too.
can you just stop with these stupid comments? so annoying. don't you know that everyone in the world doesn't have A1 driving licenses?? some people need this low speeds on the market too. go and buy 400cc so you are satisfied
@@annashealthylifeeverything8583 not sure why you think the comment is stupid? Everything I have said is measured and valid. I'm saying DONT buy larger bikes. Buy smaller ones! Ebikes perform really well in comparison to this motorcycle - but they also don't have associated costs (tax, insurance, licenses) and also have way less environmental impact on building them. The low speed is fine. But not at this price. You'd get to destinations as quickly on ebikes Vs the 50cc equivalent
Range is weak?😂😂😂 my guy is planning a roadtrip on a 50cc. I mean 40 miles is enough for anyone in a big city like london or Amsterdam. Ofcourse you can get a better bike, but most e scooters are made by crappy Chinese quality. The Piaggio + and the Yamaha Neos are atleast a good build quality e scooter on the market for now.
@@imprisonedone8054 you shouldn't need to charge an electric moped up every couple of days. I like to concept but until they all make a central standard with shared battery tech so they can do a battery swap scheme I can't see these taking off.
Hahahahahaha charging 8 hours for 20 miles range 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I will continue with petrol long long year

Is it true that you can have two batteries so that the range increases?
Yes range is increased to 44 miles .
@@chrishart8548 Thanks, yes I bought another battery to my Neos almost immediately

Get a Honda Grom or Monkey instead! Probably more economical and eco friendly, I’m getting 160mpg U.K. 😳 60mph top speed 👌🏻
Ive got lexmoto cypher 20mile range if im lucky

Waste of time in its current release !!!
Why did you have to say "climate change". Pete sake..

@@jrewillis I totally agree, but charging is just 0.10 cents where I live.
