It's always, "Diggy, Diggy Hole," and never, "Climby Outta Hole,". This is why Dwarves live underground; they don't like it down there, they just don't know how to get out.
what's not expressed in this video is that this is not the first time Nate has done nothing but dig straight down for the duration of the mission. the only difference is that for the deep scan missions there's actually something down there.
I love heisting in drillevator missions. Spawn, go to the deepest part of the map, face roughly towards the center of the map (not where you dropped in), and start digging down with your pickaxe as engie- looking straight down and holding forwards the entire time. camera clips through the terrain occasionally, letting you - if you're looking the right way - see the geode. Dig down to it, dig to the edr, dig x5 to make a small hole, plaform the hole, mine the platform, repeat, looking straight down and holding forwards still. when ya get to the white, check the map to make sure you don't dig thrugh the roof. do NOT cover the hole at any point, even slightly, cause that breaks molly and makes you have to do the scans and drill anyway it's especially "Fun" when a _Hiveguard Dreadnaught_ spawns mid mission _IN THE GEODE WITH YOU_
13:00 "we've got three more after this. I'm going to SLEEP! It's 1:00 AM, I have work tomorrow, we've been at this for an hour and 4 minutes" ...wait were supposed to go up there?
by the time i had come across the omen Nate had arrived at the first circle of hell and J and Major had both died going after him; it was a lost cause my guy
just solo it smh but for real, even if you plan on never completing a machine event you should still activate it. they give a very fat chunk of XP regardless if you win or not, which is a very valuable reward by itself.

Mission control was weeping with a gun to his temple watching this mission unfold
i'm surprised they even sent us a drop pod honestly
Ah, the age old classic of having an idiotic idea regarding something in a videogame and then wasting hours of your day executing said idea.
problem is that it was hours of /my/ day. what else are friends for tho
@BongoSkinny indeed, the part where you guys were yelling at major to make stairs but he refused was painful though😭
@@BongoSkinny have you ever dug through the map roof?
i have not but J did i believe. we refer to breaking map boundaries and entering space as "Space Camp"
Breaking news local dwarf discovers . . . stairs.
"Wait a minute. How has this happened? We're smarter than this."
i know how this happened. it was Nate. Nate is chancellor palpatine.
nate is a sociopath in the funniest way imaginable

the driller experience
Watching this is akin to watching a trainwreck documentary in slow motion. Beautiful and painful. Utterly hilarious.
we and our friendship made it out more or less intact that's what counts

don't let Nate see this or he'll try to do it again

i mean, why not try doing it yourself?

13:10 crazy? I was crazy once. They locked me in a cave. In a cave with 3 other dwarves. Dwarves made me crazy.
We do not fear what lies beneath, we can never dig too de- Oh. Oh no...
This is the same dynamic the dudes in rvb have
wow throwback reference but i love it
Typical driller mindset
he sure is drillin lemme tell you
Driller grindset
"leave no dwarf behind"
even if they sabotage your whole life for an hour plus?
I haven't laughed this much at some random shenanigans in ages, thank you so much 😆
happy to have you here :) thank you for watching
Breaking news! local dwarf discovers . . . stairs.
and promptly refuses to use any of them
Funny dwarves
this is what's known as Going Dwarf Mode™
To be fair he was a dwarf and he did dig a hole
true i suppose; we fault not the spiders for spinning nor the birds for flying
There is snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, then there is just riding out failures digestive tract and calling it success.
snatching victory from the jaws of my friends
First time reading this phrase, nice. XD
"Well we got out the other side that counts, right?"
It's also funny cause you could have restarted and cleared this mission 3 times lmao
at LEAST three times bro
That's ain't fun

it makes me wonder what he was doing while we were all flying up on the boots. just vibin.
Y'all are hilarious. also i love that you're a fellow engineer in both DRG and RoR2
haha turret go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
11:16 This feels like something the fact sphere would say in Portal 2
you're absolutely right lol
this is perfect cuz im tweaking myself
happy my viewers can relate
peak friend group moment
ROCK AND STONE?
oT

this is so me, i literally stalled a mission with me and my buddies for impulse drilling to the boundary stone at the bottom of the map.
it's the driller reflex that awakens whenever one picks up the drills
I see a uncleared omen, you better go back and do it

That is easy to solve. Just spend 1 hour digging a circular staircase until it reaches them minecraft style.
oh we tried to convince him of this; Nate unfortunately had other plans
@@BongoSkinny Yeah he is a leaf-lover
as a fellow nathan (and someone who plays driller semi-often), i would most definitely do something like this
ah, so there's one in every group i see
I am literally cackling in bed right now 😂😂
wish i was crackling in bread rn (hungry)
I feel like "Nate shouldnt have any more ideas" foreshadows future issues.
Is your game running at low fps?
maybe; i think i have it capped.
5:04 had me ROLLING: "hanger. harkness, humans." to "gnanger. gnarkness. gnomes"
