Despite his lack of natural talent or athleticism, his grit makes him such a respectable player, and his teammates always seem to rally around him. Even if he’s an average QB he’s the exact type of player you want to have on your team.
Exactly. It is his mindset and demeanor that will win you over. I remember my introduction to him; it was the 2021 season and they were facing my favorite team, the Falcons. He played with poise and beat them in a game that should've been winnable for them. He won fair and square and had class. Whether he's down by 30 or ahead by 30, he plays as if the game just started. He plays to the end and for that I admire him as a player.

What I loved about Heinicke was he didn’t have the physical gifts that most QBs have but he clearly knows all the fundamentals that make a good QB and that’s what carried him to this success. He overcame his shortcomings to revitalize his career. He’s going to make a great coach when he retires

Say what you want. Taylor’s got the Brady in em. When he’s in the field and the game is on the line you just have faith he’s gonna make the right decision, and put you in position to win the game. I felt that during every game winning drive. Gonna miss him. Smh 🤦🏾♂️

If he was around, Sam Howell would get injured so we’d be blursed with more Heinike. He is so clutch but I think he made things harder for his receivers

Bro, delusional Washington fans who think Heinicke is a backup QB have obviously not been a fan of the same Redskins team I have over the last two decades. We have NEVER beaten undefeated teams, beaten teams that went on to play in the Super Bowl (except the 2007 underdog Giants), or hung into games against star-studded teams like the 49ers (at the time we played them, they were the hottest team in the NFL and on a 6 win streak). Wentz, Alex Smith, and Dwayne Haskins all threw balls to Scary Terry, but the team never looked anywhere near as good as it did with Heinicke. He was incredibly clutch, always productive, and he didn't collapse under the bright lights like Kirk Cousins did. Heinicke balled out on most of our prime time games, the dude is bigger baller than any QB we have had since I began watching the NFL in 2003. Remember Kirk Cousins screaming "YOU LIKE THAT?!" It was because we sucked so badly that he lost his mind over beating the pedestrian Eagles that year -- we beat the UNDEFEATED EAGLES TEAM WHO PLAYED IN THE SUPER BOWL IN PRIME TIME this year, but we had retards on our subreddit shitting on the QB who was largely responsible. If we end up sucking this season, we have you idiots to thank, fr.
If u was a real Washington fan then u would know kirk cousins beat the bucs in a 35 point comeback and we didn’t suck that year we went to the playoffs and taylor was a good qb but he wasn’t consistent like alex smith and kirk cousins but I totally agree with u on everything else

You must be a pretty casual fan. They beat the 8-0 Eagles last season. They beat 11-0 Steelers in 2020 and those are just off the top of my head. They beat the Ravens in 2012 the year they won the Super Bowl. They beat the Giants both times in 2011 when they won the Super Bowl. They beat the Packers in 2010 when they won the Super Bowl.
I’ve been a fan for a long time too. I remember the last two Super Bowls. Heinicke is good enough to win Atlanta a Super Bowl because their run game is so good but we’re good enough to do some damage with Eric Bienemy calling plays and our upgraded o-line. I think this season is going to be interesting.
@@brandondillman5841that’s Ron Riveras saving grace the only time we’ve been blown out was against the Cowboys both times in 2021. But yeah any other time we show up and put up a good fight, but nobody ran Scott Turners offense as well as Heinicke. This offense didn’t even look as good under Alex Smith. Heinicke is a playoff QB. Heinicke woulda lit up cleveland and beat Dallas. Also never forget the end of that Giants game where the ref told Terry he was onside then threw the flag. He had those two turnovers against the 49ers but he had a 114.6 QBR against the best defense in the nfl with no ability to run the ball in short yardage situations. We can still build a great team with Howell but we shoulda rolled with Heinicke after the 2021 season and then got some beasts up front. But we’ll be alright.

i think after the last 3 weeks it’s clear.. falcons fan here as well and i had hope for ridder at the beginning of the season, but i hope they bench ridder and start heinike (or however you spell it) before it’s too late in the season for playoff contention.
1st 3 plays alone says bench Riddler and start Heineken. ONLY questionable play was that heave into triple coverage, not gunna get that lucky everytime. OMG the play where he stood and delivered a completion with Kenny Clark screamin at him and took the hit and stayed on his feet. *MUAH* *chef's kiss* GET RIDDLES on the BENCH!!! Arthur Smith arrogant if he sticks with that sorry kid over this proven vet. With Taylor starting, Arthur Smith can actually "open" up his passing game playbook if he has the ability to do so.
