I am someone who has had experience in this area and wanted to share all of the negative experiences I personally had as well as some of the positives. My goal is not to sell anything or mislead anyone. Kratom is available in most states if you are 18+!!
Kratom is currently a legal in many countries plant which grows native to South East Asia & is related to the coffee tree. In this video i explain exactly what Kratom is, what the dangers are surrounding its use, and how people with chronic pain (& more) have been using it to help them.

We also explain to the viewer what can happen when you are careless (and just how severe the consequences can be) with hopes they do not make the same mistakes them selves.
Hey guys! I hope you can learn something from this and make an informed opinion on whether to try kratom or not. Thanks for watching and being here. I love you

I found a simple way of stopping taking kratom after taking it three times a day for a year after my failed back surgery. I simply did what all doctors tell you to do when getting off any medication. I weaned over a period of a month taking a little less every day, then every other day. I had almost no withdrawal symptoms. Now I take it on days when my body hurts...I’m almost 70 and things sure hurt as you age. It’s great for pain, anxiety, depression and motivation so using it twice a week or so has been perfect. Even when quitting coffee you have to wean or you get a horrible headache...it’s no different.

I was a recreational user for years. Oxy, hydro, just prescription pills mostly. One day my buddy hit me up and told me he snagged some perc 30s, I told him I wanted to buy a few and we met up, after blasting a half up my nose and instantly becoming so uncomfortably high, I started throwing up out of panic then I lost consciousness. Woke up feeling super euphoric. Idk how long I was out but for some reason it didn’t bother me, probably because I was the highest I’d ever been. Anyway so turns out they were Mexican fentanyl fake M30s. But I didn’t even know about those until I had been doing 1 or 2 of them a day. By that point I was physically dependent. When I learned what they were I decided to stop it all together. Cuz I’m not trying to OD and die. Well that’s when I learned about withdrawal. Oh my lord. I’ve been through some extremely difficult situations in the military but never have I experienced something so mind bending-ly horrible. Physically sick, emotionally destroyed.. a very real sense of hopelessness it was then I realized that I was in-fact a full blown drug addict. I reached out to some close friends and told them what I had done and one of them suggested Kratom. And I’ll tell you what. I’m not sure if I could have stayed strong enough to go through that withdrawal without relapsing. But Kratom literally saved my life.

People just gotta know that Kratom doesn't just hit the Adrenosine receptors like coffee does. Kratom binds to the opiod , Adrenosine, serotonin, and dopamine receptors. That's why withdrawels can be similar to Suboxone but last longer then opiod withdrawels because it binds to the other receptors and depletes those chemicals. You are definitely right Kratom has its place people need to educate themselves of both the good and the bad and be well educated before they start taking it especially daily.

You are correct but it's not addiction swapping as much as it's called harm reduction and something we in the United States need to start thinking more about as ways to help people who like to take things throughout the day. Absolutely nothing wrong with ingesting something throughout the day to make yourself feel better, that's what antidepressants do along with numerous other substances . We only live once some people want to experience more pleasure while they're here and they should be have that option as long as you're not hurting no one

    • @JahlenJohnson11

Jason Scharrer oooh totally agree with you! I won’t say addiction swapping in the future. You’re correct 🥰. For me, kratom is something I try to take minimally now but my husband is a daily user and without it I don’t know if he could stay away from harsh drugs. I’m 100% for kratom, I was just inspired to talk about some of the negative things I did experience because I watched a video of this girl who made it seem like it’s something everyone should be doing every single day and I feel like it isn’t.

I agree with you, I’ve been a daily kratom user for a little over 3 years and used it to quit Percocet, that being said, what we know is anytime we take something from outside of our body that influence our neurotransmitters, the receptors down regulate to balance out, and what happens if you’re getting less pleasure from everyday life and relying on the substance for pleasure. Kratom is certainly less strong then the other drugs but it still has the same effect when taken daily especially multiple times daily. It’s certainly helped my life with drugs but it might be better to get off eventually, a lot of Ex daily kratom users talk about enjoying music more, working out, and just life in general. For people like us we needed it at a certain time and some with chronic pain, forever. But we all need to be careful with giving it and encouraging other people to use it

Yeah it's no wonder people want to use drugs to make them feel better. I'm not advocating addiction or anything. Just look at all the everyday stresses we have here in this so called free and open society and it's all by design. I mean they want to ban kratom. Are you serious? People that see that and still support their government boggles my mind. People need to get back to nature and simpler ways of living or this society is doomed. it helped so much in relieving my anxiety coming off meth. it's a good thing to sometimes turn to, but aware of the consequences, i try to only use it when i really need to. also introduced a rotation of other mood-boosting activities to do some days instead, like exercise, dancing, reading, activities with friends. that way, i just drink it once a week or so when i'm staying in, doing chores, etc. helps me ease into monotonous days.

Please read carefully what I'm about to say.
I've been studying pharmacy and psychopharmacology for 20 years now. I'm a sort of a drug nerd and see myself as a psychopharmacology enthusiast. I have at least tried every common substance, pharmaceutical and illicit, and took at least one substance from every drug group in existance.
So I wanted to say that I just can't understand how people still don't get the fact that there isn't such thing as a non-addictive psychoactive drug. Even the filthiest drugs with zero abuse potential like Thorazine or Haldol will produce withdrawal syndrome upon cessation of a long term use. And if the substance is in any way pleasurable, or it helps you get rid of some negative stuff like pain or discomfort, or it helps you psychologically, the withdrawal will be that much worse. Try to understand that our body is a living organism which struggles to maintain its natural state (homeostasis) by default, and when you take a substance that induces changes in your body's chemistry and functioning, it will fight back trying to cancel out those changes. The longer you take the substance, the better and more efficient your body is at resisting its effects by the compensatory mechanisms. That is called tolerance. And when you stop ingesting your substance after long term daily use, those compensatory mechanisms are left unopposed by the drug and they are essentially the exact opposite of the effects that your substance produced. That is called withdrawal. And that's it.
Be it kratom, heroin, Zoloft, Xanax, coffee, cigarettes, Ritalin, Abilify, booze, Depakine, cannabis, Valium, cocaine, Lyrica, Wellbutrin...it doesn't matter. They all produce chemical changes in the brain.
Use any of them or any other for prolonged time and you will develop tolerance, addiction and/or dependence. And if you quit, you will INEVITABLY have withdrawal symptoms. Which are in general opposite of everything that your drug of choice did to you.
You can somewhat avoid this by constantly changing and rotating substances, making sure that the new substance has pharmacologically nothing in common with the previous one, and that it doesn't hit the same receptors in your brain. But to do that you really have to be knowledgeable and creative in the psychopharmacology and even then you're not completely safe. In fact, "Big Pharma" is practically inventing new ways to cheat the inbuilt defensive mechanisms of our bodies with each new drug all the time. Same thing with street drugs. And the natural ones aren't the exception either. Always the same, universal rule with every prolonged drug use- starting, habituation, tolerance, dose escalation, more tolerance, addiction, dependence, withdrawal...
As Isaac Newton has said, every action has it's equal and opposite reaction. This rule applies perfectly in the biochemistry of drug dependence.
I hope that this simple information will help people to be cautious and to treat psychotropic substances with respect they deserve and with responsibility for their health.

      You are 100% correct.
When I was in my 20s I was on 100mg oxycontin daily for at least 2 years prior to my surgery.
2 months after my surgery I found myself still popping these pills even though I had no pain now.
I had relationship issues at the time and I realized that I was not just physically dependant anymore.
So there I was with my box of oxys I had a decision to make. Take every single pill in the box along with a box of my mums valium and end it or quit cold turkey.
I spoke to my family and thankfully they were understanding.
My husband took care of our daughter while my mum sent me out in the middle of nowhere to her friends home.
I stayed for 2 weeks and it was HELL but my little girl pulled me through.
Fast foward 13 years later and I was sick again and back on oxys.
I was on 60 mg a day for 8 months until I had surgery again.
This time though I was able to get off them easily because the dose wasn't as high as well as the length of usage. But more importantly I was not mentally hooked like before.
Yes our bodies and brains a remarkable machines of nature.
Thank you for you informative comment. Have a lovely day ;-)

Well spoken, I have a similar expertise in this arena
The information you have referenced is widely accepted by the allopathic medical community. When looking at man as a biological-system's network comprised of a chemical matrix sustained by changes electrical in e- potential.
Knowing that the electron is a wave form and not a particle, and that each cell operates with channels dependent on voltage, the presented model of chemical compound dependency developes some holes. Most compounds disprupt the flow of e- waves (or block entirely thus disturbing the atoms within the pathway resulting in alteration of the atomic resonance. This change in e- wave state then alters cellular behaviour especially the signaling of genes and the availability ofmicro nutrients and their efficacy. The resonance field breaks down, becomes new, body adapts, atoms attempt ground state, more compound introduced, field breaks down, again new resonance forms (in the most efficient way possible) atoms attempt ground state, compound becomes source of e- wave forms for new resonance structures. Compound removed, field reorganizes as compound is eliminated and moved throughout tissue affecting other fields. After time ground state is achieved, now physical damage and nutrient deficiencies (especially micro can be restored)
What I'm attempting get at from what I've read friend is that there is much more to the old fashion receptor "lock and key" model of the mid 20th century. And restoration of the correct resonance, or ground state,( we say withdrawl)in the body from the atomic to the macro scale is achievable with a variety of approaches and mechanisms, harmonics/tech/earthling in snow/ the list goes on.
Could make for an interesting discussion!
      Peace and e- to you

I started taking Kratom Late in 2018 and I wished I would have known of your journey then. My experience began with an extensive amount of education from my good friend who is a Kratom distributor.
I knew exactly the best way to take it and what to expect. I also knew about the habit forming affects it can have and how to mitigate those symptoms.
Even Making it the way you are supposed to it still tasted like a cross between lawn clippings and a wet teabag. But when I took the Green it was Just enough energy with out feeling a tweaked out. And enough of a pain reliever to keep going with out passing or tripping out. Which any of my prescription pain meds had a tendency to do.
The Red, which I really didn't take all that often, allowed me to relax and NATURALLY drift off to sleep and get a solid 6-8 hours. And wake up not feeling all groggy like I do with even over the counter sleep meds.
For me it was also physical pain. I was 54 when I started Kratom and at the time I was working at the VA hospital in St. Peters burg FL. as a Operating Room Sterilization Technician. The work was good But it got to be hard and fast paced. Vary exacting and specific. As well as physically and mentally draining.
But I definitely do empathize with you when it comes to the lack of real experience with taking Kratom both positive and negative. Or at least how it is to not know where to get reliable information.
I can also Identify with the whole social anxiety and how Kratom helped you to be less nervous and more sociable. Good for you sweetheart. Not for taking something to be 'more normal' but for being willing to try a naturally concurring supplement in order to "ease the burden' of being in a unfamiliar and draining environment. I get it.
And thank you also for being so supportive of your husband during this very difficult time for him trying to get off drugs. In my experience with drug and alcohol recovery I can tell you nothing beats the healing power of love. if we, they, have the capacity to let it in. I know it is or has been difficult for you. I pray for both you and your husband to find reprieve.
I know that this video was recorded a while ago and that you have most likely moved on to other things. But I would like to hear back from you soon if you have the chance. Just to see how your doing.
    Best Wishes

I've been a lifelong introvert and empath. I'm a constant thinker and filled with anxiety. I tried regular medication and was overwhelmed with side effects. One of the meds made my arm go completely numb for over a week, not to mention the sexual side effects. I actually do not think my sexual fervor has ever completely recovered.
Kratom changed everything for me. I was able to break through the social anxiety and clear my head enough to think and focus. It made many things easier for me. As far as withdrawals it is no different from anything else. Using harder drugs, FDA approved meds, and even alcohol will have withdrawal symptoms if you are a daily user of them. Even coffee comes with a ridiculously painful migraine if I go too long without it. I'd rather enjoy the benefits and pros of kratom than worry about the very few cons when it comes to them. Unless someone can point me in the direction of something more effective I will continue to use it.

Finally i went out and bought some Gaba from Walmart (supplement) and some ashwaghanda (supplement) and it relieved me. I used kratom every day for three years. Be real careful guys and congratulations to all the people who got off heroin and pain pills!

Thanks for the info. I want to quit kratom but I fear the withdrawal. I get RLS really bad at night and can't sleep and I can't afford to take a week off of work to quit it. I am aware kratom can also be heavy if one misuses it, but if you take it responsibly it can literraly save your life, it did mine. I'm not gonna lie at first I started taking large doses way too frequent but I realized it was because i was going through the xanax withdrawal and I started cutting down alot. I started taking kratom when I was going through crazy alcohol withdrawals after being a heavy alcoholic for almost 2 years. It completely negated all the withdrawal symptoms and I was able to stay off alcohol indefinitely. Eventually I stopped using kratom too, but then I started using kratom again for treating depression/anxiety, which works amazingly for me. It doesnt make me feel high or stoned, or any kind of druggy way, which is nice. Just normal, clear headed and content. But now if I dont take kratom first thing in the morning I get super depressed and anxious throughout the day and I know I need to get off kratom because I've been taking it daily for a year now and I know its probably taking a toll on my physical health. Not nearly as bad as alcohol, but still

Carrie Rogers that’s the whole point of why Kratom is just as bad as an opiate addiction. I was a heroin addict since I was 16. At 24 I got clean for 2 years. Completely sober. Then I came across kratom and started taking it everyday because I was so impressed with how close it felt to an opiate. Well guess what, for the past 3 years I have been addicted to kratom and let me tell you, it is JUST like being addicted to heroin. If I don’t take it, I get physical and metal withdrawal. Ya it might not be as severe, but it’s there nonetheless. And now I’m nervous to go through the pain of getting off a substance again. Don’t fool yourself. If you take this plant everyday you will become addicted to it. It looses the effect over time if you take it everyday and will make you miserable. Terrible mood swings and just overall zombie like mentality. It’s not worth it, do not take it everyday. Once or twice a week if anything.

Hi Jahlen. You did the right thing here. I also agree that it should remain legal, but the negatives should also be out there for those who may be looking for something other than hard drugs, etc. I'm still struggling with Kratom, but have tapered down to a very small daily dose. It is highly addictive. Not like heroin or meth, etc, but it's all relative. I was never a "drug addict" in the typical sense, but I became super addicted to Kratom because it was touted as basically harmless. The online stores and head shops don't talk much about that. I think it would help if you told people the daily dose that you were on (or how that evolved over time). That's the one thing you left out. Withdrawal symptoms from Kratom will obviously differ depending on how much you're taking daily, and the amount of time you've been using it (3 years in my case on moderate to low doses). Anyway.... thanks for sharing some very important info that may help a lot of people avoid unnecessary suffering, etc. Once again: Kratom should be legal. It serves a vital purpose for many. Just be aware of what is before you start taking it. Get some genuine input. Thanks!

Kratom is a gift that we need to find as much out about it as possible!!!! Its helped so many people!! They don't want people off heroine they want as many people addicted as possible! So anything that will help get people off it they will ban and make illegal! Its utter nonsence !

Thank you for sharing your experience. I guess it's different for everyone's body. I'm definitely psychologically hooked on the stuff, but not physically addicted, and I do use it every day when it's available. But, occasionally I've times where I ran out and couldn't get any more for a few days, and I can't honestly say I felt any withdrawals. It really sucked not having it, as far as my mental state went, but physically my body felt fine without it. On the other hand though, coffee, for me, is wayyyyy the hell more physically addictive than kratom is. I have coffee several times every day usually, and if I go even so much as 24 hours without it, I feel like shit. So I guess everything is different for everyone. That's simply my experience, and I figured I'd share. I'm glad you shared yours as well, because for a lot of folks it certainly is addictive, and it's good for them to know if that possibility ahead of time. By the way, I think you're quite gorgeous 🙂

Its almost the same for me. My body is doing quite well without kratom, I have a little sleep problems but you can also see that as mental withdrawal. But the worst thing is the mood that is in the Basement and the lack of Motivation. Psychologically its really hard.

It literally acts on the mu opioid receptors - EXACTLY like opiates do. Please, stop the bullshit guys, this isn't up for "in my opinion..."
Take it from someone who OD'd on heroin(well, fent actually, I could smell it & taste it[awful compared to real H], knew what it was - got careless with the dose though), has tried every form of opiate(and every other substance) that I could get my hands on - there is NO other non-opioid substance that has withdrawal symptoms so similar to that of opiates like kratom. If you're wondering why, see the first paragraph again, it's very much real and for a very much factually proven reason. It even has the worst part of opiate withdrawals(IMO anyway): the muscle restlessness. If you've ever had 'restless leg syndrome'(one of the most frustratingly agonizingly annoying things on earth) it's exactly that, except I get it in my arms, wrists, hands, and fingers. And it's at its worst when you lay down, and, if your withdrawals start after you fall asleep(like if I forget to take kratom before bed), then you're going to get abruptly woken up and in the shittiest state ever. Not just hating the world, but hating your physical body at that exact moment.
This is big boy stuff, and you're going to end up right in the middle of it without even realizing it if you aren't careful. There's nothing here to "interpret" or have an "opinion" on - it literally affects your brain chemistry in a similar way(that's literally how kratom works, you can read up on it - my drug use has been driven my curiosity of the affects of brain chemistry) to opiates, and, with very regular use, just like opiates, it produces similar negative results(re: physical dependency, similar withdrawal symptoms).
Coffee only wishes it was so effective...

Thank you for sharing this, Jaylynn. It’s important to know about this. This drug has a WD, even tapering can be intense-lack of sleep & appetite, loss of motivation, heat rushes & chills (especially at night), and you feel anti-social. So the opposite of what Kratom does. There are a few supplements to take while WD, and tapering always work better than quitting out of the blue.

The hard thing about kratom and benzos for people with mental health issues is that they make you feel the way you think you're supposed to feel (free of anxiety, depression etc). This for me is why they're so much more addictive than alcohol or hard drugs

    • @JahlenJohnson11
      @JahlenJohnson11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

That is so true! But I personally think kratom is a better alternative to benzo’s anyway! So if you’re going to take something, I’d go with kratom. Really the goal should be to handle these emotions and anxiety without any substance but that’s never worked for me unfortunately

Kratom has helped my ADHD as well as my anxiety regarding my divorce from a covert narcissist (13 year marriage). I've stopped taking it many times because I ran out. I've never had withdraws, I've never had a feening need that made me scared, anxious or cause anger. I researched before I took it, I had friends who had been on this brand for over a year (*not cheap. Imperial Cloud Nine Kratom blend). I have never had shakes getting off of it or any other withdraw issues. Maybe because I'm a happy person in general, Kratom simply made me relax but have a boost of energy, helped me focus and boosted my already general feelings of well being. Also helped with sleep ☺️ I've heard cheap versions of Kratom can have issues. Just make sure if you try it to get a quality product 👍🏻 Powder is way better than pills. By FAR. Mix it with a juice shot and throw it down. (Juice shot meaning cranberry juice or orange juice b/c it tastes like a bitter tea ☺️ NOT an alcoholic shot)
    ADHD testimony with Kratom:
Before I tried Kratom I was trying to learn the Ukulele. I would be trying to play a song from chord charts online but every time I'd look away from the screen to the fret board I'd FORGET THE CHORD! It made it impossible for me to play thru a song. The day I took K for the first time I was playing the Uke and when it kicked in it's like the synapses in my brain finally were able to connect and I was able to remember chords in order to play through a song!!! It's worth trying and it's natural. Just buy quality and get the powder, not capsules. Capsules seem cheaper but it's not. I order mine from a shop called the Kushi Bazaar in Ft Mill, SC. ❤️👍🏻

I think everybody is different and I have tried it, it is extremely helpful. It’s not the same as taking pain killers from the two brands I have tried I didn’t get the high but I got enough relief that I desperately needed not to mention I got my time back and it helped tremendously with my anxiety as well. It got me through a horrible endometriosis flare up while visiting family where I would of been in bed crying curled up in a ball if I hadn’t had the chance to buy it and try it. @Nik S I don’t know if you have ever been an addict or used this but if not please don’t deter people from taking in this vital information that can truly save someone’s life. Some people may not withdraw or be okay just like some people can handle getting off drugs easier but for those struggling to survive and make it through one day and also need to pass a drug test, this is literally a lifesaver. It’s not like methadone or suboxone that can be super dangerous and like she explained there’s a window and an amount that works if you take to much you might get nauseous or throw up but you will not OD like you can on these heavy drugs and the drugs given to get off. The problem that isn’t spoken about is the government, fda, and big pharma wants to ban it till they are able to own and distribute it themselves to make trillions of dollars a year like they do off getting people addicted to prescription medications.

I’m not trying to be smart lol, but could you try tapering off the subs and tapering onto the kratom. As far as I understand, kratom is not damaging. Even that could be tapered off of later. Someone on here said she tapered off kratom using ashwaganda and maca I think it was? I think the best way to deal with addiction is tapering.

My dad started taking kratom last year, for his back pain. He has several ruptured discs due to weightlifting over the years. And other body pain. I was curious about the other uses for kratom such as anxiety, energy and focus. I started taking it around December and did everyday. I decided not to take it for a couple days and had zero negative side effects. No withdrawals. I don't know... I think everyone reacts differently. With that said, I am a little conflicted when it comes to the DEA wanting to outlaw it. I don't think people should need to be dependent on anything but I also believe it's a better alternative to drugs and alcohol. 1 in 6 in America alone are on psychiatric drugs such as antidepressants and anxiety medications. My point is, I would hope we could all be a little understanding when it comes to how people are choosing to medicate and deal with their own issues. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is different. What works for one person, will not work for someone else.
Very informative video! Thank you for sharing.
