  • It's an oldie but I got intrigued by the notes and fancied buying a freshie and this was a good deal.

this may grow on you as it did me, but yes it is more of a skin scent. One of my favourite now from joop, but took a while to grow on me. I do get compliments with this :)

On the dry-down It's a very safe scent. I will happily wear it in spring/summer for work. But yeah, performance isn't great, which is a shame.

Meh, one of my worst blind buy last year, I re-sold it the same day in Ebay. If we have to stay several seconds sniffing it, trying to detect if finally it smell good or not is already a sign ^^

Fair play. Smell is very subjective. I think Aventus is over hyped. I think Joop Go is ok for the price. But I disagree with you about the taking time to smell it. The opening of a frag is actually quite irrelevant really as it only lasts 30 minutes max. That's why first impressions are actually quite flawed and I always usually do a full review after wearing it for a few days. It's the dry down that's important and the dry down of this is pleasant and safe (in my opinion). If you've seen my shades blue 1st impression and full review you'll see that i don't like the opening but the dry down is a solid frag. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

I was talking about the time to smell it because I had exactly the same reaction as you with this frag :) I also take my time to smell a frag too but if I have to smell it a lot of time only trying to convince myself if I like it or not is probably not a scent for me...

Ah, i get what you're saying. Yes, there is definitely something in that. Good point. I was like that with Mont Blanc Legend Intense. But sometimes when smelling I have to take a moment to think about how to describe what I'm smelling. As with the first impressions i try not to look at fragrantica etc beforehand so it's more natural and not sort of scripted or pre-thought if you know what I mean. Trouble is my fragrance vocab isn't the best and I want to keep it relatable so i have to try to think of a way to describe it without it being complicated or confusing.

I agree bro I just got mine today and i'm so far disappointed it takes very long for it to project and for u to actually smell something and I still can't really describe it.

Guys, if you want a nice surprise blind buying a Joop fragrance try Joop WoW! If you like CH Men by Carolina Herrera it's way better and richer :)

Bit of a weird question but where would you recommend I spray this cologne? Just bought haha blind buy

Let me know how you get on with it. Once the rhubard note passes (15-20 mins) this becomes quite safe so you haven't gotta worry too much about over spraying. So just the usual around the neck and forearms or wrists. You could prob spray on your shoulders (clothes) to improve longevity. Good luck with the blind buy!

@@EverymanFragrances I think i'm going to give this cologne abit more time so far it's abit disappointing projection takes along time on my skin and the scent is meh but it was cheap so couldn't expect more tbh.

I have found the projection/longevity to be quite poor tbh. Though i haven't done a full wearing. I suspect this would need to go on heavy and on clothes, if not reapplied. Once it's dried down i find the woodiness with the fresh citrus notes quite pleasant, if a bit unexceptional. If it was stronger/more powerful i think it would make more of a statement. I think it will go into my spring/summer rotation just to mix it up.

Joop, is pronounced "Yope". Like the word "rope", but replace the "r" with "y". 😉. That's German for ya. Lol
