    As a runner, the 30 min run is so easy. That's about the shortest time we ever ran for practice, from that up to about 2hr (15mi +wu and cd). Switching to swimming while injured is so different. Training myself not to just inhale when I want air, running I normally have 35 to 45 breaths per minute, so it's quite different

      If you haven’t had to do breathing stuff yet you are lucky.

      That's impossible let's say for your 100 free it's 1 minute, then you are already doing 20 minutes. And plus all of your other 20s and 10s add up to about 1 hour+. So if you are some random alien that can go 30 seconds on 100 meters, it's impossible.

      You don’t take the time to read but you’re quick to condemn. I never said my pool was 100 meters. I said I swim 100 laps. My pool at the ymca is not 100 meters.

  • @AnnnnnaQ

    The breath control for swimming is way different than what you would use when you need to jog. I just found that out tonight. One lap took me out, and that was just a basic freestyle! I had to switch to breaststroke..

    • @Bigboy0444
      @Bigboy0444 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah entirely different types of breathing

    • @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731
      @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you get used to the breathing and proper mechanics, breast stroke is way harder.
      I can cruise 1000 meters free easily but 500 breast stroke would kill me right now

    • @AnnnnnaQ
      @AnnnnnaQ ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731 I'm back 2 weeks later to totally agree with you. I was doing the breasteoke improperly. Now that I'm doing it correctly, the breast stroke is harder. Butterfly is hardest for me. My freestyle is much better and back stroke is decent.

    • @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731
      @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AnnnnnaQ breast stroke, in my opinion, initially gets harder before it gets easier. It’s a lot of core and the arms don’t actually do much but assist in guiding the core . Glad to hear you’re improving on it
      I used to be a breaststroker. It’s a great stroke.
      Edit: what I meant by “it gets harder before it gets easier” is that people tend to just pick their head up while pulling forward with their arms and doing a frog kick, without pulling their core up then thrusting forward with a knees in kick.
      Swimmings great.

    • @AnnnnnaQ

      @garouthetiktokinfluencerhu9731 I knew what you meant, and that's exactly what I was doing. When I started doing it the CORRECT way.. I felt so tired after my swim session. I literally felt like I could fall asleep behind the wheel driving home. I slept good overnight, though. Thanks for your insight!❤️
