The mattress is really comfortable and very portable and easy to store when not in use. The lights are helpful too. A video is coming on on those soon. Thanks for watching!
I like your camping videos. Unfortunately I have the Model 3 , not the Y, so the 'roominess' is much more limited than the Y. Any chance you could review a mattess for the 3 ?
Thank you. Is the latest update that turns off 12v and usb outlets off when one is not in the car affecting your setup? I've heard that they still work in camping mode tho, so maybe not.
They work in when you are in the car and in camp mode. As long as the rear trunk is open, the 12V outlet will work and this won't affect filling it up or taking it down. You shouldn't need to mess with it during the night. Thanks for watching!
@@iowatesla Thx. I assumed you may use other ports for other items while camping, so I was curious about the whole camping experience being affected, not just using the mattress. But, thx again for the quick reply. Take care.
They used to be tescamp? I tried to buy a fridge from them a few months ago. Never shipped. Tried to contact them 10 times. Had to chargeback my credit card.
Tesla seems to limit the usability for accessories that only support 16V DC input to function. My bed inflator (another brand) I used before in my Chevy Bolt does not work in the Tesla model y. The model Y does not support off the shelf aftermarket accessories like other OEMs. Nice video and a good topic but $249 is pretty pricey for the mattress when it is common to find a similar mattress for $100 less online. Tesla user manual states "Tesla recommends that you do not plug any non-Tesla accessories, including power inverters, into the low voltage power socket. However, if you do use a non-Tesla accessory and notice any malfunctions or unexpected behavior, such as indicator lights, alert messages, or excessive heat from the accessory, unplug the accessory from the low voltage power socket immediately." I like your channel on the topic of EV ownership in general, but your tesla experience does not come close to my ownership experience. EV ownership is infinitely better than the ICE world and there is a whole ecosystem of EVs to choose from. Thank you for your content topic on camping with an EV.
Good stuff. I wish i had this mattress, 👍
Surprised how versatile the light is. Really cool!
It’s very well built.
That mattress look super comfortable!
I also have that light around the trim of the trunk. Helps a lot.
