It is the possessive reflexive, swój, swojemu, swa swoją, swoich etc. The main problem I find is with swojego swego and swojemu swemu, swoje swe etc They say when learning a language it is normal to reach a plateau. Well I have reached mine and it is called "swo-co?" Może w przyszłym roku zrozumiem tajny kod. Wesołych Świąt.

These lessons are excellent, you really know how to speak in a way that is intelligible for me. Probably the first videos I've watched where I understand all that is being said....Well 90% anyway 👌
the reason, why the perfective base is "jść" instead of "iść" is easy to explain: If you even were forced to use "iść" as a perfective base, it would work fine: weiść, wyiść, zeiść, podeiść, _and so on_ But, now try to speak out loud these words. REMEMBER, that in Polish you read each vowel separately ('ei' doesn't form a diphthong here). Have you noticed something weird? No matter, how hard you'll try to pronounce that 'i' after the 'e', it will automatically convert into a 'j' sound in a fast speech. That's why "jść". It's just more natural to pronounce. This phenomenon occurs at all times, when 2 vowels are next to each other. 'i' turns into 'j', while 'u' turns into a 'ł': auto (car) - /a ł t o/ europa (Europa) - /e ł r o p a/ Io (jupier's moon, Io) - /i j o/ wiara (faith) - /w j a r a/
That is a very neat observation , thank you. I guess in greek for instance the letter "i" when followed by a vowel produces the same sound of "j" . Also in some classical latin textbooks , "u" is replaced with "v" which is in turn pronounced like "Ł" . I guess that is why in english "noun" = /nałn/
Hey Francisco. I'll give you a small tip. When pronouncing ść, try to add a super-weak and very quick, almost voiceless 'i' sound between ś and ć... so it goes like this: śᵢć , or even śᵢćᵢ It should help :)

Dorota, but it's literally the same to pronounce wychodzić and wchodzić. How can you - natives use it so properly? It's so difficult to understand the meaning here.
Cześć Nahid, we actually pronounce "wchodzić" as "fchodzić", there is no "w" sound in it. Listen to me again in te video. It's like "wtorek" or "wczoraj" - we pronounce "w" as "f". :)
