Great kayak . Short easily put on roof rack . In water stable and fast enough . easy to turn and manoeuvre and with skegg down goes straight as an arrow .
Best thing to do is rent a few different types to find out what suits a person. I went to Valhalla Pure Outfiters demo day, I tried out about 6 different haul designs, and lengths and end up buying a Dagger axis 10.5. Best decisions I have ever made.
Why haven't you upgraded the axis. Thigh brace & hip pads maybe a ww outfitting option. New front gargo system maybe add a front bulkhead to fit better in that rec touring boat category.

10.5 or 12.0 should i get for lake, and river, possibly little creeks and streams.

Sounds great how tall are you I want a short maneuverable boat but doing want to get the ten footer if I am to big for it at 6'2 and a 36 inseam
I am 6 foot 240 lbs. I have the 10.5 it suit's me well. I think at 6'2 you prob. need to lean more to the 12 footer though.
