When I played through this as Zero, I found out that jumping behind him when he does the fire breath attack is a good way to score a lot of free hits in. I did the saber dash cancel there and I melted his health bar. Felt really good.
I enjoyed watching this but a part of me can't get behind these speed runs for megaman. As a kid, I always loved beating the bosses with my last sliver of health. With both megaman and zero, I always felt like those victories were hard earned. I had to deal with death after death until I learned the pattern of attacks as a 10 year old and defeated the bosses. My brother and I were always so stoke. This was dope to watch though cause it brought back awesome memories -- especially the ones with multiple defeats at the hands of this dragon fucker and his asteroids. The duel stories were great to read though

at first i didn't read the dialog, so i thought magma dragoon was basically the leader of those 8, and the most evilish one.. so i thought at the intro stage he was already x/zero enemy and he said that he already did warn x/zero that he didn't play around by destroying the whole sky lagoon with his own power... then after i knew the actual story, he was actually a mere x/zero friend but betraying them i thought his personality was a lot more powerful that he actually is, kinda disappointed a little

Shifting between english and japanese version of these games. I... I think I like the English version better... Japanese guy sounds either too happy or constipated when he announces the boss' name. ...I do like that the bosses actually say something after the actual dialogue in the japanese version
Was Magma Dragoon that easy to destroy? Unbelievable... It's been more than 10 years since I've played Megaman X4, and I never could destroy it. I did not even finished the game (I needed a PS1 memory card).
Considering the fact that he got the saber with extra damage, but indeed he knows how to dodge and predict and he didn't abuse the hitbox problem to attack him in the back (that's honourable). I have to point that he took the easy way and jumped the high shoriukens (Real mens dashes under them)
Yes, he was. I doubt Dragoon shown genuine remorse for his actions. I think Dragoon became a Maverick for the same reason as Wheel Gator, which is to satisfy some desire for destruction.
