LOVE Keith Hernandez! I’m a spoiled Mets fan who gets to listen to this wonderful man on SNY/PIX 11 from the first spring training game to the Mets last game usually the first weekend in October. I was too young to ever see Hernandez play for the Mets, but from the old games I’ve watched; Hernandez is one of the best 1st baseman to ever play baseball! 🧡💙
@@justanothergoy5900Bitch the Cardinals banished his ass to the Mets, only for him to lead the Mets to kick the Cardinal’s ass and win the World Series. He’s a Met
That 1982 team was spectacular. Great group of guys to root for. They should have won it all in 1981, but missed the playoffs on the last day of the season. Could have been a dynasty.
@@davidwatson6725 Yes, only because the 81 strike year was split into two separate halves. The two teams that got screwed were the Reds and Cardinals. For the entire season, they were the two best teams in all of baseball. Especially in the NL, it wasn't even close. The Reds (66-42) and Cardinals (59-43) finished several games up on the second and third best teams, the Dodgers (63-47) and Expos (60-48)

I got to meet him through his grandmother outside the Houston Astrodome when they were boarding the bus after the game in June 1983.
He will always be a Cardinal, not a Met

Wonderful remarks. Very gracious.
What a tremendous defender he was! HIs aggressive style at first base revolutionized how the position was played.
Awesome
Fascinating talk from one of the smartest men ever to play the game, and someone who helped me develop love for the game when I was young.
Class.

Second last day. Expos clinched the second half on Saturday, October 3 at Shea Stadium.

Bout time he made it into the Cardinals HOF. Long over due. Watched him play as a young man. My favorite player
What a team they had. Congratulations to Keith. Very happy for you.
Hes going in the hall of fame if he gets in as a met
class act
Keith Hernandez once punched a man in his soul. It was the fastest K.O. in boxing history.
Was it Whitey Herzog??
hopefully next stop is coopers town for keith
"Nice game, pretty boy!"
Very deserving. Love it.
Nice speech
Wow, acknowledged by both Cards and Mets (now). "Whitey told me one time, Keith, your traded to the Mets....".
What a Met he was
