Had not seen this video before. I was backstage with the JPP during this time and remember telling drummer Ron Stewart about the cool stick tricks done by Alice Coopers Neal Smith - that’s when Ron started doing this stick shaking at shows.
I figured he got it from Carmine Appice! He certainly got the two "blonde bombshell" Ludwig drum idea from Carmine! When Bonzo got a hold of those, they sounded like BOMBS going off!
WE SAW HIM IN THE PERRY PROJECT AND HE WAS JUST GREAT AS USUAL!
Bought this cassette after seeing the multi page ad in circus magazine , still one of my favs

When Joe brings out the lefty strat with the reverse tele neck, you know shit's about to go down!
Haaa! Very good. Ya sensed "what's coming up here is No Joke!" Haa !
They don't call him Joe Fucking Perry for nothing, brother!
I saw JPP at an amusement park in NJ in 1980 or 81. I remember thinking that his solo stuff was pretty damn good, and the concert was great.
Him & Charlie Farrin were the greatest JPP RULED

I was lucky enough to see them perform this live when I was a teenager. One of the loudest shows at the time. Great show!👍
Especially if the drummer was playing those dual Ludwig drums!
Yeah, they were VERY loud back in the day. I remember one show with Brad Whitford at Nantasket Beach in Mass. My ears rang for a few days!

There is just so much to like about this ! Awesome stuff ! 👏
Charlie Farren - best singer / performer Boston had during the 80's.
Yes, completely!!Charlie Farren is also a great songwriter. Love his style, thought he was a perfect fit for J.Perry Project.
Yup. To me he "out cooled" the whole gambit , friggin' Globally!
Great talent, great guy.
He wrote or co-wrote pretty much every song on that JPP album, too.
He had a real Sammy Hagar vibe about him---which I dig!
Farrenhite, was the name of his band, used to play in and around Boston all the time,Jon Butcher Axis also played the same circuit,Boston rocks
Frigin' Awesome!👽
