8:40 Actually, that just happened, just not with the CIA. A man was arrested based on some technology that predicted the person's appearance from security footage of a robbery. The people who did the crime were supposed to be charged with armed robbery, but this poor guy got charged instead. So many celebrity women are generic looking from plastic surgery I have a hard time recognizing them. Beauty comes in all different forms, look at Farrah Fawcett's square jaw for example. No one would dream of telling her to change it. Now days they might, and it would ruin her face. Jennifer Grey got a nose job and it killed her career. It's fine to want to change what you don't like about yourself, but please be careful or you could lose what makes you unique. Who knows, next month your "flaw" might be the next beauty standard, like big butts. Small butts were the rage before.
The only reason different races excist is because humans have adapted to their surroundings. Wide nose and short nose bridge are meant to help you breath in warm clinates and big lips have more surface area so you can cool down. Narrow nose and long nose bridge are better for colder clinates, because the air has more time to get warm before 8t gets to your lungs. Thin lips have small surface area so you dont lose so much energy and wamth in cold air.

This is getting creepy, you could appreciate cultures and traditions, even learn about the history of the country but instead they are trying to ¨change their race¨ that´s weird af😬
seriously! like, just because you can't do some stuff (ex. have locs when you're white although ik its controversial) without cultural appropriation accusations doesn't mean you can't partake in other parts of a culture or appreciate it! like, you can enjoy kpop and appreciate korean cuisine and learn the language without changing your race.
That's the thing. People have reduced ethnicities to physical traits. Who cares about culture and traditions nowadays the important thing is to look Asian.
Exactly every culture has done something wrong to one another or amongst themselves or same race different ethnicities of their race and there will be good and has been good if people saw it that way alot do just not enough
I don't think people understand how harmful it is to claim to 'change your race' like its not just culture its also life experiences of just being that race, for example Oli London got plastic surgery to 'look' Koren whilst still benefiting from the privileges of being white, same with Rachel Dozel, she full on claimed to be black when she wasn't and still benefited from privilege of coming from a white family and before people try and say white privilege isn't real it is because of racial bias in a work place, health care and basic interactions, you see it all the time whether its obvious or subtle, and a black or Asian person wont be able to do same by claiming to be a different race and benefit from those privileges, everyone loves and wants the culture or aesthetic of a different race but dont want to experience or acknowledge the hardships of being black, asian or latina etc. in a western society
Your logic does not make any sense. So Koreans apparently do not benefit but.. a white person who changes their race to look Korean would still benefit from being white? How? How does that work when at that they LOOK Korean and not white anymore?? Would you say the same if a white person changed their race to look black? Dark skin, afro hair, and all other traits? Would they still be fit from “being white”? Sorry but this does not give credit to anything that you are saying.
It’s a wild that the general consensus seems to have gone from being high-key racist and lowkey fetishizing other races. To being lowkey racist and highkey fetishzing. Idk if he was actually called out but even when he was he even did the same thing to himself when caught
To who?

I still remember that old episode of Oprah where a white guy took pills to turn his skin dark brown and walked around a town for a day as a "black man". He was supposed to do it for a few weeks but could only handle it for a couple of days. The episode is probably on YT somewhere.
I really like looking at myseld and others through this lens, none of our differences are good or bad. Just different.
That Pilgrim guy went too far the other day, and did the thing to a person who recently committed suicide (euthanasia) because she couldnt live with CFS anymore. As someone with CFS it ....rlly hit too hard. He got rightfully called out for it. Idk if he deleted it now or not, but i watched it unfold the other night. :/
i’m pretty sure it’s still up
There used to be MySpace makeup groups where we would post daily and weekly challenges and one of the more frequent things that would pop up would be race changing threads. I wish this was new.
Im only offended that the “Chinese” edits are always so much better, like I can’t even tell if he’s trying with the black edits
As a Washingtonian, it is very urethral round these mountians 😂
vlonepredator is actually a menace. like he really changed the race of mlk and this girl that died a week before
You did the "I like, big 👀, small face, what's your WeChat" thing!! 😂😂

Just waiting for that Pilgrim guy to come up with Edvafrican and Edvcaucasian lol
I have a lot of brain damage from various types of abuse at the hands of others and I often wonder how my life would have turned out if I was mentally well. I would probably be happy and successful. That was not the cards I was dealt as I’m a hot sad mess. But dreaming of being a different race? That’s odd and unnatural
honestly it probably is a combination of insecurity, attention seeking, and a lack of understanding or a grip on reality. it's just sad. i completely relate to wondering about how things might be if i was mentally well. i have chronic nausea and migraines on top of autism and adhd. it's difficult not to compare myself to my sister and friends.
Reminds me of something that we've been trying to normalize for years now...
@@MamaMOB being transphobic is not gonna fly in this comment section. Especially since Ed is an ally, now shut up and go whine somewhere else. Changing race is unnatural and trans people have existed for hundreds of years, now get over it
I often wonder what my life would have been like if I hadn't been bullied so much. I was offered an opportunity to get access to higher education but it meant staying an extra year in my crappy school and I straight told them if I stay I'll end up killing myself so I left and yeah my life is not what I wanted it to be but still working towards bettering it. Never give up!

Honestly, as a mixed person who looks racially ambiguous, the most annoying thing that has come from this is people telling me I'm not what I am because I don't look like it to them.
Same. 💯
People literally argue about my race lmao or asked if I’m sure my mom didn’t have an affair with a man if a different race
Now imagine all those Latin Americans in the USA who are mixed race and have to explain that latino isn’t their race but a language group

Three of my favorite people to watch in one video: Edvasian, Mutahar, and Jeremy Allen White. I've been blessed.

Yeah, me too. :D
LMAO the fact that he only chose to change ppl to asain or black every single time is sending me 💀🤣
Here’s what your profile picture would look like if it was black or Chinese
This is getting creepy, you could appreciate cultures and traditions, even learn about the history of the country but instead they are trying to ¨change their race¨ that´s weird af😬
seriously! like, just because you can't do some stuff (ex. have locs when you're white although ik its controversial) without cultural appropriation accusations doesn't mean you can't partake in other parts of a culture or appreciate it! like, you can enjoy kpop and appreciate korean cuisine and learn the language without changing your race.
And most of the time, it's not even about appreciating culture, it's only because for the "aesthetic"... gross.
The black version is always so bad, its insulting.
I dunno, King Charles looked pretty distinguished as a black man.
@@draco1811It was the only which was good😂😂

black ver. Taylor was fine as hell idk what you're talking about
The yt girl of Ned’s declassified is sooo bad like if it was on purpose 😂😂
This, thank you.
@@actualgoblin
No difference if there will always be someone who takes offense to it
Your logic does not make any sense.
13:32 I read that as Basic instead of Baltic and thought the app was being sassy.
It’s a wild that the general consensus seems to have gone from being high-key racist and lowkey fetishizing other races. To being lowkey racist and highkey fetishzing.
What I mean is fetishizing another race is more acceptable than it was a looong time ago when being racist was socially acceptable. Like being in interracial relationships or being mixed was taboo.
Uh, pretty sure we've gone from high-key racist, to high-key racist it was just a prank bro, racist.
I love the chaos this guy is spreading, and the only way to stop him is him getting bored
Thanks for speaking on this Ed. From a black girl living in Africa
How is John's Chinese, I wonder? Anyone can tell? That's one hell of a language to master. From grammar to phonetics it seems like never-ending chalange.
he's fluent!
Grammar is really easy, actually, if you are a native English speaker. The tones take about 4 months of classroom study to be able to hear instinctively. It's Japanese and Korean that has the difficult grammar
Chinese grammar is actually similar to English. Tones are the hardest part of Chinese (and hanzi, if you're trying to learn to read and write)
He has problems with pronouncing tones, but he has a lot of vocab and speaks quite fluidly!
babes u have been looking so good lately and ur content is bussin keep it up

It's funny how that guy with the app that guesses your ethnicity keeps saying no about all the European countries shown. Considering the overlapping history of Europe and the Middle East, there's a good chance that he does have European ancestors.
yeah sure but 30+%? nah you'd know, your family would know. or he's already done a proper DNA test.
The funniest thing was that he said 'maybe' to central african. He looks as central african as he looks northern european.

i'm white as white can get. and i cannot for the life of me understand it. like wanting to live in another country and culture? UNDERSTANDABLE. power to ya. but just trying to look a difference race cuz???? idfk cuz why but that's hella weird. i can absolutely understand plastic surgery on changing your nose a little, so it's similar to what you had but not as big for example. or remove excess skin cuz you literally looked like that before skin stretched for whatever reason. but like. "lemme just casually turn chinese when i haven't seen one in person" is wild.
we have so many options to stand out without swapping races: haircuts, hair dye, piercing, tattoos, makeup, variety of styles of clothes. literally tell me you have identity crisis without telling me you're having one if none of this sounds like it will help 💀
Fr, as a black girl it’s weird as hell that most people use our appearances as a “trend.” There’s nothing wrong with being interested in someone’s culture but some people taking it way too far… 💀 Also not to mention most RCTA people fetishize the idea of being Asian and it’s honestly disgusting.
Like they just want to look like them but I know damn well if they were to experience racism they would change their mind real quick.
