I’m so happy for Mal! I know exactly what you mean about feeling that decompression when you leave the hospital. Had a close friend in the hospital earlier this year and that feeling would hit me like a truck everyday we left the hospital. I’m glad you decided to try to get better rest.
Whew, when Mal said 'this is just, a bad day for me' at 6:36 to describe her pain, like doesn't THAT put her endo pain before into context. Some days she'd literally feel like she just had major invasive surgery, from this lifelong physical condition. Exactly. I don't understand why doctors write every little thing off as some common pain. This was MAJOR pain, and she was experiencing it daily. @@TsunamiKitten56 Arrrgh, so frustrating isn't it? I'm sorry you went through all that. Hats off to you Stephen. You're an inspiration to me as a soon-to-be husband. I only hope I can be as good to my wife as you are to Mal. Here's to you Mal, and to both of you for the recovery phase and going forward.

I literally know that Mal is fine because I am watching this in January 2022 but I still teared up a LOT during this vlog. I love you guys even though I only know you through a one way conversation.
It's too bad I can't like a video multiple times. Seeing the love in this video makes me glad Stephen started the vlog. Caring for someone after surgery is difficult. The absolute relief after you know everything is okay and you are able to relax can be overwhelming. So glad that Mal is back home and chilling with Kep! Prayers for a speedy recovery!
It's comforting to see that Mal got surgery and it went fine and that she was doing good in spite of the surgery. Also I feel you Stephen about what you said about the feeling of being overwhelmed and the decompression that comes with it. Take care of both of you
Mal, I'm still shocked you thought to talk to us right after surgery. You and Stephen are using your time and energy to inform us what's happening, and that's crazy to me. I know it'll take a long time for you to recover, but you've fucking got this. I've watched your family of channels since high school, and it's insane to see how much you're both willing to tell us on the vlog. Again, Mal, you've got this.
Oh man, even though I've been watching the vlog/plays channels for so long (uhhhh maybe approaching 7 years? dear god that's longer than i realized) and obviously I knew about how special of a person Mal is to you, the ending of this vlog REALLY says something about your character. To see you so choked up when talking about how much you appreciate the support Mal has been getting is just...beautiful, and really makes me honored to be a part of this community. I may not be able to support the two of you right now financially as I'm a poor college student, but even still, this is just a surreal part of the internet. Sending all of my best wishes to the two of you; it makes my day to hear that Mal is recovering so well, and to see you just being a textbook example of what a good husband is.
Of course, this ordeal is a lot for Mal, but don’t forget to take care of yourself as well, Stephen. Sending all my love and good vibes for the recovery process.
I'm honestly happy she went through it successfully hopefully it's all finally over. Honestly as well Steven you are a true man and gentlemen taking care of her in her needs and understanding as well of everything, I know it's been hard for you both, but I'm glad it went well and honestly glad at least that soon you both will go back home and you will take care of her in time of needs and she will go through great recovery. You guys are the best and are a model of what a relationship should be, both together till the end and one helps the other in need.
Darn my empathy, Stephen’s got me crying too by the end of this vlog 😭 here’s to the best internet grandparents 💛 (Also dang Mal, nice clarity! You’re too strong to get loopy 😂)
So thankful that Mal was able to get the surgery she needs. Praying for y'all! I remember when I was in the hospital after surgery, they did a similar thing with just bringing whatever was the standard menu that night, regardless of whether it would be something I could comfortably eat. :(
I remember receiving a blow of slop after jaw surgery and being given zero assistance on eating it. I was going to attempt to hold the bowl suck the slop with a syringe and put it into my mouth until my parents showed up in perfect time to help me.
14:25 You two always say you want to keep your relationship between you but sometimes there's little things like this that are subtle but show how much you care about Mal or how much she cares about Stephen. Good Vibes #TeamMal
I am so happy for Mal. I am so glad she is doing well and I am glad it was a success. I am just so relieved. Also, the reason why you wanted to cry after leaving the hospital, even though you knew she was safe and in good hands, is because of all those emotions that balled up within you. Not just worry and panic, but EVERYTHING. Stress over everything that had been going down for the last few days leading up to this, sadness that your wife is in pain, pure happiness because your wife's surgery was a success, sadness again that you are leaving her for the night but happy that she was, and is, cared for. Like you said, your body is having some serious decompression of emotions. Trying to collect everything that is going on. It is normal. And the reason why you feel the need to cry is because that is a way that your body releases all these emotions all inside of you. Emotions that were compressed because your brain was telling you to stay calm and at ease for Mal.
Honestly, You cannot believe how relieved I am to see everything went well, i was incredibly worried (some PTSD relating to the last time someone in my family had to undergo surgery), I am really happy
Good vibes to you both. You are courageous for documenting this whole process and letting us in on this private part of your lives. I understand that “decompression” you felt after leaving, my partner was in the hospital for a month after a car accident and he had to get two surgeries. I’d be at the hospital for a few hours after work and would cry on the drive home since it was a lot of emotional and physical energy to support him and then leave. He’s fully recovered fortunately and we’re closer than ever. Im so happy Mal’s recovery is going smoothly! To better and healthier days.
Watching this video really reminded me; I, and probably a lot of other viewers want what you guys have. Also watch out world, if you thought Mal was killing it before, the training weights are off now.
This whole vlog just goes to show how much of an amazing husband Stephen is. Mal is very lucky to have someone physically by her side who cares so deeply about her wellbeing. I can't wait until she's fully recovered and can go back to being herself again minus the pain. Also you know what else is a really good meal like that jimmy dean breakfast bowl you had? Those frozen teriyaki rice bowls from Costco. I eat those all the time and they're great
So glad this went well for Mal, here's to a quick recovery and no more pain or stress over this for either of you! Love to my internet grandparents #TeamMal
For some reason, this video is very calming to me. I'm glad the surgery went well and that an achey recovery is ahead - I find that it can be really relaxing and therapeutic sometimes. I watched this video while being hit with my first day of my cycle, which has left me severally emotional. There was a time last year that I could not leave my bed due to pain. After looking into Endo I want to consider it, as eventually birth control fades away, as it does now with this horrid brain fog and depression. I hope everyone can heal from these terrible things we experience. Im really happy that Mal can heal now and experience life better, and I hope so many more of us can too soon.
I'm honestly so glad I became a Patron (I did it to support Stephen+Mal since... out of pocket medical bills...) Being in the Discord and having immediate updates to Mal's procedure and recovery has been so great for my peace of mind
Me: I’m not gonna cry I’m not gonna cry I’m not gonna cry Me at then end:😭 So happy that it all went well, all the good vibes for Mal’s continuing recovery!
I know that decompression feeling. I've experienced it myself from when I saw my grandmother for the last time. I was trying to be strong in the room and be the shoulder to cry on but on the elevator down, I just broke down and cried on my brother's shoulder. Luckily, Mallory's recovery seems to be going on the good way and I wish you all good health in the future.
I am so glad that Mal got the help she needed. Hopefully once she recovers, she won't be in so much pain all the time. #TeamMal I get the decompression thing. When my oldest sister had her baby, Mom and I had to leave her overnight and it was so hard. What made it worse was that she didn't want us to leave either. Even though it was only for a night and everything was ok, it was still hard
Glad to see more of Mal, even though it’s been a few days at this point! I was getting a little nervous before the surgery part of the vlog, even though I had already heard she had turned out fine. Here’s to a speedy recovery! #TeamMal
I know that feeling of not being hungry, during both of my wife's C-sections I didn't eat for a full day after I was so worried about her and our children. I'm glad everything went well and remember to take care of yourself as much as Mal!!
I'm so dang happy for you, Mal! I know this vlog was early this November, but I can tell just from the footage that Stephen will be an amazing caretaker during this time. (I also understand how hard it is to eat through the adrenaline, I can't either when I'm nervous!) Wishing for a smooth recovery, much love to you both!
Stephen and Mal, thank you so much for taking us along with you through the surgery and the whole procedure. Your vulnerability through all of is really touching and I'm so grateful for the both of you. Your videos have been a constant companion for many years, especially the last two, and I'm so happy that the surgery was a success. Mal, sending all of the well wishes your way! I hope your recovery goes smoothly! Love you both!
A toast 🥂 To Mallory! May she feel the relief she deserves. May her endo be gone like a spent arrow. May she and Stephen live a life filled with health, luck, love, and happiness. Cheers!!! 🍻🥂🍾

I want to do more to support, I truly do, and I wish I could. So I will express my sincere elation that Mal is okay, and well. She deserves peace and all the happiness in the world after what she has been through in her pursuit of a career and her pursuit of health. You two have been a constant in my life, a source of stability that reminds me about what really matters. Congratulations, Mallory.
SUPER GLAD Mal's surgery went fine. I was honestly eagerly waiting for updates on Twitter cause I guess I was just that concerned. I'm honestly so glad I became a Patron (I did it to support Stephen+Mal since... out of pocket medical bills...)
Being in the Discord and having immediate updates to Mal's procedure and recovery has been so great for my peace of mind
Me: I’m not gonna cry I’m not gonna cry I’m not gonna cry
Me at then end:😭
So happy that it all went well, all the good vibes for Mal’s continuing recovery!
Glad it all went well and she's recovering! This journey sure is a long one. Glad to see it will be over soon!
We love you, Mal!! Glad to see that your recovery is going well! 💛
We’ll always be here for you and Mal Stephen and we’ll help you guys out as well as we can.
This is extremely heartwarming and I'm really glad the surgery went well. It'll all be worth it in the end. Wishing you guys the best!
Good vibes! Here’s to a speedy recovery #TeamMal
Glad to see more of Mal, even though it’s been a few days at this point! I was getting a little nervous before the surgery part of the vlog, even though I had already heard she had turned out fine.
Here’s to a speedy recovery! #TeamMal
So so SO much love to the both of you. We love you, Mal and Stephen! Still cheering you the heck on!!
Glad the surgery went well and I really hope you will recover smoothly Mal
I know that feeling of not being hungry, during both of my wife's C-sections I didn't eat for a full day after I was so worried about her and our children. I'm glad everything went well and remember to take care of yourself as much as Mal!!
Awww, poor Mal!
It fills my heart with warmth, though, watching this video while knowing that she's doing well now.
What an amazing couple. Seeing Stephen care for Mal is so beautiful.. you can see how much he cares for her. Mal you are so strong ❤
Bless you Stephen for being such a wonderful husband and caretaker for Mal!
Stephen and Mal, thank you so much for taking us along with you through the surgery and the whole procedure. Your vulnerability through all of is really touching and I'm so grateful for the both of you. I hope your recovery goes smoothly! Love you both!

Got to feel for Stephen, decompression is tough, I've been there, done that.
SUPER GLAD Mal's surgery went fine. I was honestly eagerly waiting for updates on Twitter cause I guess I was just that concerned. May Mal be speedily recovering so that she can once again do what she loves (whether that be painting, beating Stephen at Pikmin, or just being a pleasure to be around)!
I'm so glad things ended up okay.
I didn't cry at the end of the vlog, you are
Mal is amazing! To have suffered for so long and to have the strength to keep going with a smile. She’s awesome! I’m sorry that she had to struggle to get a diagnosis and that she had days where she wondered if she imagining it. That’s a hopeless terrible feeling. I hope her recovery goes smoothly! Stephen, you’re a wonderful husband and person.
