One of the biggest resources to learn from in Squad? Your mic, use your mic, ask questions. Too many new player not speaking at all during entire games.
I just started recently getting into this, and I completely agree with this advice. You catch a bit of flak here and there sometimes but so many people are really excited and willing to help and answer questions.

so as a main heli pilot: dont train your flying in offline servers, since - as with the damage model - the flight models are not accurate. they are way smoother and forgiving when offline, which i do realize since loads if new pilots i meet tend to claim they have trained and proceed to crash at main. do it in an online jensens, if you really want to learn

only place to damage the rack frontally is hitting the left flood light. Not possible in a chaotic game. It’s better to aim for gun breech and gunner sight
Wisest comment so far. I just finished building my pc some 2 months ago aiming to play squad at 2k with highest graphics settings, so far, it’s been a very good decision and pleasant experience:) hitting 130fps on crowded areas with firefights going on :)
Since Squad seems to have improved with these current updates, it seems yo have improved. Looking forward to get into Squad, which I don't have many hours into it. Being a US Army Vet, I definitely want to get into it and hopefully get in with a group of tactical players. Good stuff!!

Is it easy to find random match making lobbies that are full? I'm tempted to buy it but feel like it might become hard to find full matches, I heard tht it's usually people playing with discord groups/battles
@@phantomthao1514 I did not try yet to find something in particular. Just playing with lads around the world and having fun. :) Most of matches i did play were full matches.
The best tip I can give to new players is to play on Moi's servers: The Potato Fields, and for the love of God stay off servers that are MilSim or Experience Preferred until you've got a few hundred hours in game at the very least. I'm happy that there's new players, but if you're not going to follow the orders from your betters, then go back to wherever you came from... This isn't a run N gun game, you're not Rambo, no one cares what your k/d is in CoD or BF, this is a game of tactics and logistics, you NEED to educate yourself on how to play BEFORE your start jumping in doing whatever you please.
hey just wondering if you prefer flying with the flight stick (joystick whatever you call it) or do you prefer the mouse and keyboard? personally im a sucker for the flight stick cuz it just feels so good and streamlined for the task, but im wondering if its worth it to get good with the kbm. ever since the heli mechanics change ive been pretty ass at flying with kbm.
All you gotta do is ask while in game, people will always help new players who speak up. There is zero patience for a new player who doesn’t use their mic

i can't speak for al' but the moment i make a screw up or simply ask "hey guys i'm new trying to not mess this up, how do i ?______-" i never have been met with anger if anything I've had people join my squad (was labeled 'new sl') and basically hand help me in a good way through it. i was so bad but i learned a lot. a lot of players even when frustrated would rather you ask and learn than just wing it or mess something up then leave or rage for being corrected. Shout out to my tank commander who spoke no English one match and only knew the worlds "Bro, NO!!! (at ear shattering volume) and motherf*cker" but i knew what he wanted every time XD good guy, 10/10 would cross language barrier again
Just one note on the armor website, it also accounts for damage drop off over distance for kinetic projectiles like Tank AP, .50 cal, 30mm AP, etc. So while shooting 125 mm AP Sabot will pen an Abrams front lower hull at 100m at full damage, it decreases damage potential over distance all the way up to not even penetrating at all.
If Squad had AI matches offline for people to practice, it would improve a lot of new players without having to deal with Joe Ego Stroker and all the radio clutter.

They honestly should show what bonuses a unit gets by default. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to yell at people for picking by faction instead of unit, then someone asks “how do you know what we get?” My brother in Christ, there’s a universal “i” on the button. Patch notes also suffice…
Hello yall, Just got a PC a couple days ago and really want to play/buy SQUADS. But im afraid that if i buy the game, it will be hard to find full lobbies. Ive heard that most people play this based on discord groups and theres not many playing rondom lobby match making. I was wondering if this is true.
you won't have issues finding full lobbies and you dont have to be in a discord group but I wouldn't recommend random matchmaking try and pick a server or two with low ping and healthy player numbers and stick with them to get a feel for the rules and community
if you play in a server for a few weeks and people never talk and theres no good squad leaders i would recommend switching servers and seeing if it has better regular squad leaders and players and keep repeating this until you find a server that suits you
is there gonna be an eye in the sky for some unpopular modes? like TC, destruction or insurgency? TC is actually a pretty good mode, and destruction is pretty epic when the teams knows what they are doing

Men is not that hard, the uniform of every faction is diferent and the helmet is very diferent for each faction, you cant mistake a canadian and an american
Stop new players creating squads, mics compulsory, SL's quitting squads = server bans. Fix the magnetic trees. Introduce modern weapons and tactics, micro drones, tripwire explosives, thermal scopes, night modes...stop wasting dev time on emotes. New cap points on existing maps.
@@MrAerohank Because it ruins the flow of the game. Squads in the middle of no where needing to agree new SL, revisit HAB to get SL kit or get squad disbanded. Maybe they should have a player status score for teamkills, quitting, no mic and you can choose if you want to admit low status players. Its getting so bad, next stop is Arma Reforger for me!
I find it strange there wasn't a single word from you about the insane stutter issue that is plaguing the game currently. Guess as content creator with the a OWI partnership you can't afford to be too critical
Mine has to do with trying to fire bursts on weapons. I’ll just fire a burst, then I get no mouse inputs for several seconds for no reason, and I haven’t found any advice on what the issue is…
I've heard of players having this issue but I haven't seen it myself in either admin cam or first person. I can't recreate the issue myself. Also, I've blown up OWI plenty when they deserve it. Just because I don't know your specific issue doesn't mean I'm simping for them.

It’s ammo rack is in the same spot as the t72 it just has funny front hull armor

Not everyone is experiencing the stuttering issue, I for one rarely if at all stutter anymore, though I have friends I play with that stutter heavily
Try to clean your game cache, it worked for me
