I am a nurse in the US, I love the calmness and the time the clinicians take wiith their patients. The US has gotten away from this empathy, for speed as determined by management & insurance companies. It makes me think about moving there.
I am Hungarian, and I absolutely adore that old Hungarian couple . People have problems pronouncing my middle name, too, which is Hajnalka, and it's pronounced nowhere near how it's spelled . I can relate to him because I'm allergic to my mother-in-law too. That man is adorable❤
Why don't they cover these children? If you've checked them and then need to check them again, just take the covers off! It's generally freezing in the A&E department!
Most people don't have dental insurance especially those on government assistance so they go to the ED where they get some pain relief/antibiotics and advised to see a dentist...some never do and return multiple times for pain meds.
It's a diagnostic tool. (Critical care pain assessment tool). At a certain pain level the nervous system can get overwhelmed and cause problems such as vomiting or even going into shock.
15 mins to be seen and 4 hours to be diagnosed. Unheard of in Canada. You are lucky if you can be discharged (not kept overnight or sent to surgery, ICU, etc.) within double that time. 🇨🇦
I gashed the back of my hand open while washing dishes, waited 8 hrs at the closest hospital until a car crash arrived, gave up, drove 20 miles to a town the next county over after a nurse at my gp's office said to try the er I'd just left which now had a 12hr wait time... I wait at the other hospital 5hrs to have a nurse tell me id waited too long. I told her id wait to see an actual dr & sat 4 more hours before a dr looked at it. I left 3 hrs later w/ 11 stitches, got billed $900 by 1st hosp, $2300 by 2nd hosp, & $275 by gp office for referring me to the er. That was in 1998. Nothing is better- not costs, not wait times, not overbilling. But ive gotten pretty good with super-glue after dealing w/ a few broken windows. 🍀🙏😅
I have a question, I was watching an older video an older woman fell…the paramedics gave her Morphine then a few minutes later she got sick. SO MANY people are allergic to this drug, has even killed people because it was unknown or the drs or paramedics didn’t look into their records. Shouldn’t they ask the patient or find out before giving morphine?
Very often it's not an allergy, just the vomiting centre in the brain that gets activated. An antiemetic can be given to help with that. A real morphine allergy with rashes, swellings and cardiovascular problems is rather rare. But in general - if the patient is awake it should be asked if they've ever been given morphine before and if they take certain medication.

Single Payer Healthcare has much better outcomes than "for profit" healthcare.
Wouldn't that be nice ✌️
I'm not in medicine yet, I too would consider moving there, for their wonderful health care system. ABSOLUTELY TOPS!!!👍🏻
Nurse Chloe: "I didn't think I'd be smart enough ". 😢 Oh, sweetie, you're a National Treasure ❣
I love the volunteer lady. She's a wonderful happy cheerful lady. If I was in hospital she would make me 😊 😃
He doesn’t have to sell the bike, he has to stop drinking 😅

Tooth ache? Dang. Call your dentist.
Can't get in to see dentists these days, call 111 who tell you to go to A and E

Sheila is lovely, I was my mother's caretaker during dementia/Alzhiemers, yes I heard the same stories but learned so much of family history.
You guys rock! My fav. I wish in the US!❤
But what about the lady who took 12G of paracetamol (acetaminpohen)and 7.2G of ibuprofen in 24 hrs?!
It’s not a toxic dose.
My Doc! Yes! Right to the point ❤🎉
OMG, the childish reasons some people go to emergency is sickening, taking up valuable time and resources from REALLY sick people...
You go to a dentist not the emergency room for a toothache
@@CW1002 Toothaches *only* happen on the weekends when the dentist is not available! Lol! 😉
@@rescue4fortyfourSo true.
Egg mayonnaise? Never heard egg salad called that before.
British.
The egg salad sandwiches in the UK are really good. We were on holiday from the US and were very happy to have them when we traveled on the tube.
Счастья вам и здоровья, огромных сил и хорошего настроения доктора и медсестры!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
16:04 i love how the editors blurred the backs of peoples heads 😂 gotta keep that patient/doctor confidentiality on LOCK
Why wouldn't you go to a dentist for a toothache? Why a hospital???
Dentists don't have after hrs so they probably just went for pain meds to hold them over.
Most dentist won't see u right away for a tooth ache...usually a couple of days before u can get in

What the hell is critical pain? Do they mean critical condition?

@@d.rim.4275 I think the uploader of this video meant critical condition though.
@@Julmaa87mhm, I wouldn't have called his condition "critical" though, so for me the critical pain made sense. 🤷♀️
@@d.rim.4275 Maybe you need to look up the word critical. I’ve never heard of “critical pain” only “critical condition”
What caused the babies seizure?
Pooped my pants.
Who goes to the ER for a tooth 🦷 ache 🙄
Please no volunteer

Not in my experience.

As an adult you don’t read the medication dosing instructions ?! Ridiculous

DONT people know to give their chidren nsaids for a fever before it gets out of hand and causes seizures?
I could've sworn they said the little boy had epilepsy.
@@almaecluI thought when they did the handover for the little boy he said known epilepsy!
They did, some people just like to judge when they aren’t in the same situation.
He’s a known epileptic. Crescendo of seizures can cause fever.
Some people 🙄. The boy has epilepsy!

28:00 That’s not true in the US. Women’s insurance is higher because women have more health problems than men do.
