The friendship between Jason and Matthew is really, really sweet. Such unwavering, unfussy loyalty. Beautiful. And Sam and Andy are such lovely mates, too. Reassuring these people have each other.
I like the fact all doctors and nurses get along so well. They know the patient comes first. They hold their ego's at the door when they come thru to work. Total respect all around.
The older men's friendship reminds me of the movie... The Mighty (1998).... the younger guys are like brothers from another mother... and the comment from the young box about his mom is the best compliment a mom can receive.
This series is great and so heart warming - no matter what the issue is you just get a feeling of how nice and respectful every patient has been treated
I agree. My mother had 3 back to back strokes 6 years ago that left her a brain damaged triplegic and I’ve been taking care of her all by myself since. I miss her being the mom so bad. I’m not patient the way she is and I miss being able to fall apart and her be the strong one. I just miss my mom.
I think Tom’s mom being a doctor herself has seen a lot in the hospital. But she even admitted that despite being a doctor, it’s still upsetting seeing her own child in his damaged state. She wanted to be strong for her child & to be reassuring to Tom, so she couldn’t break down and let it show.
@@SnowPink90 It seems rare that there are funerals around where I live (Western Canada) or maybe I just don't pay attention. So If I have a celebration of life, I want Being Evil has a Price by Heavy Young Heathens played, and then have it all finished up with Make Your Own Kind Of Music, preferably sung by Paloma Faith.

I’ve got three very valuable friends who are like gold to me! When I was a young mom with two small kids that were having a birthday party on the weekend, I called my friend & said I would have to cancel as I had to have my appendix removed, no way she said, I will come as her kids & mine were same age & got on very well, so I sat in a chair & all the little ones got on so well, ate lots of cake, sweets & kool aid. We are Besties to this day, it’s been a 57year friendship. ❤️❤️❤️ The other two I’ve known for 30 & 23yrs respectively! What more can I ask for, I’m very blessed ❤️❤️🤗🤗
I speak from experience when I say I’m glad that Tom went to the hospital for his accident, I made the decision not to when I had mine because I was between insurances and my back has never been the same since I fell backwards off of my bike and landed on it and that was 12 years ago. (I’m from the US though and hospital bills were crazy expensive at the time so I was too scared of going into debt because of it).
@@Calpurnia917thanks for your remark. It seems Americans comment on this site about the bad care they have received from the American hospital’s doctors and nurses.
I don't have friends bc I don't want any due to a long list of issues starting when I was very young that have made me prefer solitude and made me unable to trust pretty much anybody. Aside from my kids, I have zero interest in forming bonds with other people. I haven't even spoken with anyone in my immediate family in over ten years and am not even sure if my parents are even still alive. Watching episodes like this one helps me see that it is possible to have those bonds and I almost feel jealous of some friendships, though I know I will never attempt to have one. These people are so very lucky to have lifelong friends like this and I cannot imagine a better friend than Matthew. I'm happy for all of them and I'm sure those bonds got them through some pretty rough times and that's a blessing.
I hate to see a kid in the hospital! BUT, they usually bounce back - and do it quicker. And, the miracles of medicine keep advancing, so they have better outcomes than a few years ago.
I do too..I noticed the other day someone has been using the video’s here for their own channel. Sad is t it, people just think it’s ok to steal someone else’s work for themselves and take the credit. It made me mad, and I certainly said to them a few choice words! This happens to be my favorite channel it seems..I find myself watching here all the time, and then rewatching. It’s an addiction I sapose, but an addiction I’m happy to have in comparison…lol
Oh I am sure a BMX/Motocross racing style one would have made a huge difference in his facial injuries. But no kid wants to wear something so bulky for regular street riding.
Citalopram I believe. It’s one of those cases where you read a name and everybody pronounce it differently though so maybe I heard it just because I’m familiar with it
Oh poor Tom and his swollen face. No wonder he was scared. Then he gets grandma to buy him a new bike and what does he do the first time he’s on it falls off and springs his wrist. I don’t know about him having a big boys bike anymore.😳

Tom's mom is gonna be a nightmare mother in law one day! She is raising him to be a mama's boy and she even admitted that she was territorial of him. She will expect him to be more loyal to her than the person he will fall in love with in the future.
