    Fantastic setup.. Very tidy and efficient..
    A money making machine... Hard work doing it all but very satisfying I would imagine 👍

    Very informative video Tim. Apart from your setup being very practical it has a nice clean "design" touch to it. I use your setup as an inspiration.

      Cheers Chris, I've changed it a few times and used every inch. Quite fancy the Predator gutter vac but would need a bigger van.

    Hi Tim love the set up. Love the reels and is something I have done with a old clover reel. But just bought one of the pure freedom. If u don't mind me asking what size Chain and sprocket do u have on there ?

    • @timhancock5556

      Cheers Chris
      Sprocket is a 78 tooth 6mm 25h , chain is 6mm 25h I think 76 or 78 links depends on how near you want the motor. The pure freedom reel is really good quality, a bit too good really I burnt 3 drill bits out trying to drill holes in the side plate to fit the sprocket. In the end I took it to a local metal fabricators and they drilled it in no time. Easy if you've got the right tools 😂

    Hi Tim, love the setup, one of the best ive seen! Can you tell me how much you had to cut down the bushes to get the sprocket on? I have the exact same reels. Many thanks.

      @timhancock5556  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael Thanks very much. 👍 The bushes are very easy to trim, id say trim a small amount off at a time until it fits.

      Have you managed to fit the sprocket on yet? If not don't waste your time trying to drill the side plate it's extremely tough. I wasted an hour and burnt out several drill bits. Take it to your nearest steel fabricators, they'll drill the holes in seconds.

      @@timhancock5556 thanks Tim. No I haven't yet, Im going to take it to a fabricators also, can I ask do the bolt heads that go through the sprocket foul the rubber bush at all, as the holes on my sprocket seem to line up perfectly with the bush, I'm wondering do I need to ask the fabricators to drill new holes slightly wider out on the sprocket, so as to clear the bush and let it spin freely? Hope that makes sense.

      @@michaelmatthews1140 Got to admit it quite a few years since I built mine so can't quite remember. A lot of sprockets seem to have the holes in different places. Ask the fabricators, it wouldn't hurt to drill fresh holes in the sprocket, the important thing is that its level.
      I would definitely recommend you get a heavy duty swivel, from Bladeright worth every penny, had mine on years now and not a single leak.

    Hi Tim, just found this, nice work. Hope all is going well you way. Just wondering having converted a reel myself how you power it. Leisure or main battery and if leisure I presume you need to charge often. Cheers. Gra.

      Hi Graham
      I run 2 reels and 2 pumps off 1x 110v leisure battery which is connected to main battery by split charger. Plug the leisure battery into mains for a deep charge once a week occasionally twice a week if I've got a lot on. 👍

    Great set up Tim, I was just wondering what brush heads are you using?

    • @timhancock5556
      @timhancock5556  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Marc. I'm using the Phantom sill brush, really impressed with it. Still looking good after a year, used to use Gardiner sill brush but only lasted a couple of months before it looked like an old toothbrush. The Phantom sill brush came with the Boss carbon 22 pole from Lee Martin at Bladeright.

    Nice setup Tim. Quick question if I may - where did you get the van rack that you have the reels on? Thanks

    • @timhancock5556
      @timhancock5556  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers matey. The rack/shelf I made myself. Just ply with a rubber matting on top. I had an old alloy pole, I used the sections to support the shelf underneath. I suppose wooden supports would do the job. I mounted the controllers underneath.

    General question. If you’ve been using the gutter vacuum and it’s full of sludge what do you do about putting the vac away coz it’s just going to slosh out on your lovely van floor ??

    • @timhancock5556
      @timhancock5556  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Always empty the vac before it goes back in the van. If I can't completely clean it up, or I'm going on to another gutter job on the same day, I strap it onto the passenger seat until I get home.
