    I gotta thank you for this so much. I am traveling to korea in May and my friend sent me this video, we are traveling together for the first time and I've never been out of the country by myself so this was helpful, especially through these times. Our first try at going to South Korea was March 2020... yeah. Looking at trying to go out March 30 - April 16th and mainly hoping the quarantine requirements are either gone or 1-3 days by then. Relieved it just went down to 7 days but with less than two months to go, really hoping it's gone by late March. We're both boosted and expect to still be tested before leaving, it's just we're really hoping to avoid having to quarantine.
    I can work remotely like you but unfortunately my wife has to go in one day a week (needs to print out official documents) or else I'd try and do two months like you are!

    Hello! So much useful information. I wonder what about the payment system in Korea? Did you pay at a hotel by your card with your currency on it and the bank just converted currency or do you have to open an account in Korea? Or if you know if Revolut is okay there? Thanks.

Although some probably I think now I’m older I’m just super into being safe 😂

      Hi! You have 3 options either take a bus to the airport or a train station nearby (they'll tell you where the drop off point is), take a taxi to a location of your choice, or have a family/friend pick you up from the quarantine hotel. You'll get a paper with all this info on a paper in the first few days of your quarantine. Hope this helped! (:

    Hi Malia, thank you so much for this video! I'm also working remotely while staying there! We'll be night owls for months. TT_TT I'm flying in 26th of Feb (so 7 day mandatory quarantine) - I thought self-quarantine was possible for foreign nationals as long as the airbnb/hotel provides that service/is qualified? I already booked a self-quarantine guestroom - do you know if it is completely mandated for us to use the government facility instead? (and no family here).

    • @MaliaRamos
      @MaliaRamos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahh!! The hours are hard but manageable haha - and hmmm, I can't say for sure. The reason why I mentioned it is because I saw this tiktok a month ago of someone who did the same and had their airbnb book but they said her only option was quarantining at the government facility because only foreigners only have that option. So since she couldn't afford it they denied her entry. I found this: overseas.mofa.go.kr/us-en/brd/m_4500/view.do?seq=761020&page=2 on the Korean Embassy website so it seems like you might not be able to at an airbnb.
