- hi! here's a little vlog of how my first week in korea went. definitely wasn't the smoothest - I had a really hard time adjusting here because of my work schedule, the language barrier, etc. But hopefully this shows a glimpse of the other side when it comes to solo travel and even though it was a rough week for me - it's still something I love to do!! Hi there! I wanted to apologize for calling the triangle Kimbab an Onigiri. That was my mistake and I’m so sorry for not using the correct name! I had not know what it was called in Korean at the time and just used what I had known from prior experience when I visited Japan. I apologize one again but thank you to everyone who let me know 🤍
There are so many overlaps in food all over the world, that could happen to anyone :)
Well the Japanese invented the thing, so Onigiri is probably correct in this case.
It's not a problem at all. You're not actually wrong as the triangle kimbap originated from japan as the onigiri. I mean it literally is onigiri with a Korean name.
It's fine! There are many foods here in Korea that originated from Japan, Koreans just don't like to call them by their Japanese names.

Girl this is literally me rn 😭 I arrived in Seoul about the same time you did, it’s so fun here but wow I forgot how stressful solo traveling is!!! This makes me feel not so pathetic 🤣 if you wanted someone to go shop and go to cafes with im totally free! I have a couple friends coming but they’re not out of quarantine yet 🥲

Yes! I want to film a Q&A soon and hopefully talk more about this. But it's definitely a struggle, I'm trying to learn as I go. But it's not impossible and the locals are very nice even though I can't speak too well.

I think the first thing you should do after the cash conversion is to get a korean sim card and then open a bank account right away,it makes life way more easier cause those are the most difficult things to get done sim card+bank acc

I love living in America but one thing I wish we had here out of all of the things that most places in Asia have is the same seriousness about covid and public health. I wish not only my countries mindset but they action the took in place was just as serious. From the needing of vaccination cards to enter and sit down in most places to the quarantine hotel to the thermometer check. One thing I've migrated towards since this crazy thing started almost 4 years ago was only going to my local asiamart for shopping. Even there they take the safety 10000 times more seriously. I always feel safer there than a Walmart or any other well known grocery store.

This is the first video I’ve seen and I loved it. I’ll be following you for sure but don’t push yourself too hard, the video is great! Sometimes more reality is better than aesthetics and editing. I prefer messy and real than fake cause internet is already full of people living an unreal life.
