- My experience with moving to Korea in 2022 - packing last minute, the flight, and the Incheon COVID-19 arrival process! Happy to make a more in depth video about specifics if anyone wants to know, but I doubt this video will gather that much traction LOL

I apologize for the quality of the video! As this is my first time filming and editing, it's very subpar quality, but I hope to get better throughout the year, so don't count me out just yet :)

Found this thanks to TH-cam algorithm and I’m heading to Korea in less than 48 hours (!) haven’t finished packing, haven’t got my test done [stressed] 😃 BUT I’m getting my covid test done tmr morning. Hope everything goes well 🤞thanks for the relatable video 😹

excited to follow your time in korea! ill be studying abroad in the fall so it was helpful to see the current traveling process
I can't remember if I mentioned it in the video, but Korea's travel guidelines fluctuate every so often, usually in two week periods. So by the time you're ready to come in the fall, the arrival process may look different - hopefully it's easier! I'd encourage you to research carefully before you get ready to come. Best of luck :)

I'm not sure what you mean by what they check for in immigration, but if you're asking about the documents they want to see, then they will want your arrival card (you receive this on the plane) and your visa! If you are pulled aside at the airport to get tested and receive a positive test result, then you'll be put into quarantine at a government facility - but regardless of a positive test result, you'll need to quarantine for a few days after arrival! Safe travels :)

I honestly hadn't seen much of Korea until recently because I was at Jungwon University for a 6 week orientation, but I'd have to say the scenery + the ability to get around fairly easily, or at least in comparison to America! Everyone I've met has also been so, so lovely, which I feel so fortunate about

arriving quarantine at hotel is that a self payment
yes, you have to pay a certain amount, and I believe it is currently 1,050,000 won per person (when I came, it was a bit higher, but it might be lower now because of a reduced quarantine period)
