Great video. My biggest issue is the amount of TH-cam short subscribers my channel amassed during the roll out of TH-cam shorts, I feel now that any longer format videos I upload, don't get seen by any of them, so maybe if they new then I'd initially get more views when a video gets published by myself, which might help the video get seen by more, or maybe my content isn't appealing to many.

As usual you do a great job with these videos, not only is it educational but its somehow really easy to consume this one in particular considering the simplicity of it, there isn't music, not to many fancy effects to the video, it's just two guys giving some criticism and its oddly entertaining. I'm gonna have a shot at properly doing content creation this weekend and trying to stick to it because I feel that this channel has given me so much knowledge and inspiration to try again.

  • @markksantos
    @markksantos 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I feel like most people's issue is that they just haven't put in the time yet. Like it's so obvious why these people don't get views. They are just not spending enough time learning how to make a really good thumbnail and how to make a really good video. If instead of asking for help, they just spent a lot of time studying TH-cam and putting what they learn in practice, they would definitely see results. But people are lazy.
If you are for real about TH-cam, learn more about psychology, photography, story telling, click through rate and viewer retention. Also, practice more.
Best way to start is by watching more videos from:
Film Booth, Nick Nimmin, Justin Brown, Think Media, Roberto Blake, Channel Makers and also any video where Mr. Beast is talking about TH-cam

Regarding text on thumbnails, we have experimented with both and our few top viewed videos have no text on them at all, just a cool compelling image. Definitely one of the top channels for this kind of content, I think what is really making a difference, is that we see you care about helping, giving good, honest tips, and what's really cherry on a cake - you always show how to use tips, while you say to use those tips. Proves instantly how effective they are, and how you are learning/using them yourself, as we should too.
Video about importance of thumbnails? At end I get your next video, with powerful thumbnail that begs to be clicked - shows exactly what to aim for, to your viewers ;)
Thanks for doing your best man, while also being entertaining. I'm sure each of those videos take a lot of your energy, but as usually, if you do things in a best way, people notice and appreciate it :) Keep up the great work, and even if you take any breaks, we will always click your video when you are back ;)

Additional things I noticed on the Metro channel is the angle of the photograph. The good example, the photographer got down low, so that you felt like you were immersed in the photograph, or taken at an angle that could've been taken in real life. The reviewed channel tended to shoot from above. The other bit I noticed was the lighting. in the reviewed channel the lighting is harsh and at an angle where it tends to throw shadows onto what you are looking at. The good example lights up the things that the audience is interested in. I would suggest getting a soft box for your light (could be as simple as a white bed sheet) and then angling the light from the front.

Whoever is reading DONT give up on your channel. Think about all the hard work that you have already put in. Every youtuber was once in your spot they just kept going. Stay consistent and you will reach your goals. consistent uploads and improvement and some determination is all you need! I am going for 260 subs by the end of November!!!

I pretty much never comment on videos but this was really solid advice and I like the walk through and thought process. Very helpful for reviewing my own channel and what I can do to improve. Great stuff and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your content after your time away!

I grew a channel to almost 100k and got locked out
Now we’re back with a different method but came back to take notes again.
    Glad to see you’re back

Why is the audio so different from 0:30 onwards? It sounded so much better before.

I love this type where you guys are criticizing thumbnails! I learn a lot from it. Never seen that before until now.

Um, excuse me 🤓 the linked video was 7 minutes thirty-five seconds! Jokes aside, well done video. Awesome content without requiring a huge amount of edits and special shots. Great way to inspire the right kind of thinking/avoid overthinking

I'd love some advice I'm struggling with finding a niche and getting viewers. I make react content but not sure if i should stick too a certain thing to react to or if i could branch out and react to a variety of things.

Such a good video - just like all of your videos. Thanks for sharing. The production quality is absolutely 🔥. What I find really difficult with the whole thumbnail/clickbait titles is that I create software tutorials and it's really not easy to create those type of titles/thumbnails when teaching users how to use something like PowerPoint/Microsoft Word.
