Hi Evelyn Willis I mean Brittany lewis or Brittany L. Willis. I enjoyed talking with you. Glad you are doing well! I congratulate you now because I'm sure you aced it. Honestly! Compassion, Honesty & Trust are the foundations for living a long life
I started studying for SSgt the day I made E-4. I started studying for TSgt the day I made E-5 SSgt. A Chief told me this secret. Of course I had already done the seven level course long before the test by getting the course from the Education Office. Another suggestion by a Chief. A good Chief in the AF is worth his or her weight in Gold. A bad egg soon turns rotten.
Been watching your videos since you did the meps videos way back. I recently went to meps last week. I passed everything and am currently DEP’d into the Air Force waiting to get my ship date! Your videos really motivated me!
@@dirtydingo250 honestly did the best I could. I mastered most sections of the PDG though. It felt rough but the results were okay. For the PFE I got a 74, SKT - 72. Promotion statement was the cherry on top. Made cutoff by 60 points
Funny as when I was in during the 1980's, it was called 'APR'. Airman's Performance Report'. I guess the PC crowd had to change it. Also, the scores were 1 to 9, with 9 being the highest.
Ayee I've been in since December 2018 also lol thank you so much for the info, I'm supposed to test somewhere around late April, early May is what they told me. When I did my CDCs i had a program called MasterCDCs and it was a ton of help so I'm trying to find something like that for this test.
I made E5 in June 1970. I was in Viet Nam when I took the test, tt was the old style fill in the blank with a #2 pencil Then room was basically a cover over some picnic tables with no walls. Naturally it was hot as hell and I dont kno0w if the sweat pouring off us ruined the the sheets. I guess I got lucky but it seems like there should have been some points given to us to equalize the scores for the guys (very few women at that time) taking the test in air conditioned rooms.
My SKT was busted this year, super in-between the lines questions. I missed it by a quarter of a point last year without even studying. This year I studied my ass off and I’m not even sure I made the 40pt minimum. Good look to all those E4 mafia mfs testing this year. Hopefully your test makers this year aren’t as cunted as mine were
Is the test similar as the EOC never took it at bmt april 2020 since covid broke out around the world and classes were getting cancelled anyways good luck on results.
Actually, just as important as your test score is... How many new Staff Sgt spot will be available in "YOUR" job field, "THIS" cycle. Example, you're Security Forces... there is a lot of turn over in that field... You'll probably make Staff Sgt just by stumbling into the testing room.. never mind your score. If you are in a very crowded job field and its already 'top heavy'.. it make no sense for the Air Force to promote more people into those, non existent spots. Also, you get points for time in service, and time in grade. So, someone that has been in the AF longer and tested 3 or 4 times already, can get a lousy score and beat you to Staff Sgt. This is why the AF is generally fill with a bunch of loser NCO... Its generally, dead weight guys that couldn't buy a job on the outside. I waived my Staff Sgt test, got out in 3 1/2 years, went to college, became a mechanical engineer and never looked back. I MAKE promotions happen every time I change jobs.
@@Brittanylynnlewis awesome! I went to college there, enlisted at age 25 in the air force, leaving for bmt august 17th. Hopefully you pick up SSGT stripes. Good luck!
You need to get a certain amount of points to meet the cut-off. The majority of your points come from your EPR so the tests aren’t single handedly promoting you.
Thank you for watching!! Don't forget to subscribe and let me know if you have any other questions about testing for Staff!
Currently an E-6 in the Navy, its interesting to find out how other services promote and procures. Good luck.

Good luck on your results, hope you excell!
Congrats on making it I test very soon
I tested for the first time earlier this month, used PDG Advisor. 10/10 would recommend but the test was still rough not gonna lie lol
Good luck!!!
Did you master every part of the PDG advisor before you took the test and it was still rough?

Now with the PRS system, you get additional points for sustained performance.
Chief Bass has a good write up on it!

Hey i’m currently in the DEP and I have a question. Is the 26 minute run done on an empty stomach or after breakfast?
Winter BMT = afternoon PT, summer BMT = morning PT. But either way you usually don’t eat at least a couple hours before the run!
@@Brittanylynnlewis Appreciate the reply! Love your channel
Hi! Where on the portal can I find an updated version?
How fast did you become E3 E4 then E5 because your moving up the later quickly. I’m looking forward to enlisting just need some knowledge
The book says the year 2019. Is there an updated one 2022? Is the 2019 still helpful?
Can you provide a link to the SSGT test taking guide book? Thank you!

Sailor here and I honestly wish I Joined the chair Force 😂😭
One thing I've noticed since being in is every branch has a chair force of their own 😂 just depends on your job honestly
Wait, what? Y'all just take a multiple choice test and become an NCO? Seriously? No wonder ALL of the other services think you're weak.
have you heard about how the army does it?
btw- physical standards and yearly reports with all work related accomplishments are also considered
