I did exactly what you advised - back in 1976. I enlisted for 6 years with the last 2 being inactive reserves. I had a guaranteed job and went through an 8 month technical school. During my last review, my boss (a 20 year Master Sgt.) gave me two pieces of advice. He said I should "make the AF a career because it's a great way of life." Then he said, "off the record, you'd be a fool to stay in." I was willing to re-enlist IF the AF could guarantee cross training me into digital flight simulators and stationing me at one of my bases of preference on my dream sheet. They wouldn't commit to the base of preference by telling me "the needs of the AF come first". I said go ahead and start processing my separation paper work. I have no regrets about joining the AF but I knew I could find a good job in the civilian world - and I did.
The real hustle is finishing your 1st contract and immediately going to a reserve unit. At this point either A) go to college via your GI benefits or B) begin applying for federal government jobs. If you latch on to a Gov agency, you can buy ur military time and continue to contribute to TSP (with the 5% match he mentioned). You’ll get veterans preference when applying for Gov jobs so if you meet the minimum qualifications, you’ll at least get an interview. In the end you’ll end up with two retirement checks!!
Buddy. Don't know if you're thinking of staying in or getting out, but based on what I've seen of your ability to lead and direct, I wish you'd stay in. We need people like you. You ever consider OTS? I can see you there. Enlisted to Officer could be a great fit for you. ( One Staff Select to another) You've already created a wave... ride it.
My DEP is usually kinda shy too or maybe just nobody has that many questions due to all the info online now. Within like 5 minutes my recruiter is like "sooooooo... any questions???"
It's also such a small world. I remember making friends with a my friend Chris while station in Turkey. We then later found out that his dad worked with my Step-mom who were also military back when I was an AF Brat. It was just trippy that I knew his brother, and had met him more than once way back when I was third grade. Then there we were multiple years later across the world, and became great friends.
Mah dude. Have you ever thought about being a recruiter? I feel like that is sort of your realm. Not sure if it would be an incentive to make you want to stay, but I could see you being one!
That mainly because he doesn't like his job. But he can change jobs too. He would be a natural fit in Air Education and Training Command. The vacancies are there if only he will look at them.
antares4s he has said multiple times that he wants to get out in order to focus on TH-cam and the opportunity for him and Makenna to travel while they are still young and childless. Not liking his job is only part of it.
He said he'd much rather work in public affairs for the Air Force instead of recruiting. He feels he's better working with people for the people instead of working with people for the Air Force
I miss those moments back in my recruiters office when I participated in RAP, seeing new future airman walk in the door, not knowing what's going to happen next but trusting their recruiter to set them up for greatness. I'm gonna give my recruiter a call sometime, if you're interested please join it's a once of a lifetime opportunity.
Mike what is RAP? Never heard of it. Are you still in the Air Force? I got out way back on May 25 , 1975. I had just landed coming from Germany a few days before at McGuire Air Force Base , New Jersey.
RAP stands for recruiters assistance program. You can do RAP every year if you want. Once i gain more rank i'll probably ask local recruiters if they need some help. I'd love to come in and talk to DEPers on a down to earth level.

I want to say thank you for your service and thank you to Makenna as well. The sacrifices made by military spouses is often extremely underestimated. I was in the Army as an Intelligence Analyst from 1998-2006. My son enlisted in the Air Force about a month ago and will leave for BMT in January. I follow you on this channel and also on the Gott Love channel so I got my son watching some of your videos here on this channel and he is really enjoying them so far. So thank you for your service and also for taking the time to post these helpful videos so others, such as my son, can prepare themselves better for the adventure that lies ahead.
This is awesome Kyle. I hope you enjoyed this. From what we can see on the video, you did a fantastic job and this time you got to look at the people you're helping straight in the eye. Well done. Enjoy home
You could probably help Air Force recruitment by dressing up like Captain America and telling people to join the Air Force and military. It would work since you look so much like Captain America/Chris Evans. By the way, have you ever considered becoming an officer?
another option my half-sister's husband did is join the Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve (forget which one he chose) after a tour or two of active duty and take a civilian job with the Air Force.
I think the video was extremely helpful, I didn't know you could travel so much or do as much. I work at a plant with about a dozen veterans, 90% of them disliked the military
out of all your vids ive enjoyed this one the most (and i like alot of your vids haha) ive learned so much from this one vid cuz all the answers in the DEP meeting were straight to the point and actually got to the answers i was wondering about also you were with an Air Force Recruiter that was also able to give his insight and info. Any chance you could something like this again Pls :DD
Veronica Thank You for your Service. I'm an Air Force Veteran. I served 8/71 - 5/75 & like you I wish I had stayed in as well. My Mom told me to stay in & I didn't listen and I regret it to this day. Good suggestion to Kyle.
The answer is yes. No other branch offers you a regionally accredited degree for just training on your job. The air force has 150 jobs and if you finish your basic training requirements, you can get a degree.
Hello Kyle and everyone, I plan on joining the Air Force and have a few questions regarding my options. 1. As I told my recruiter, my primary motivation for joining the Air Force is to be able to go to school and complete my bachelor's degree. That's the primary reason I chose the Air Force in the first place, as I came to the understanding that it is the best branch with which to continue my education. Is that true? If not, what other branches would you recommend? 2. I'm not sure if I'll stay in the Air Force for 20+ years, so I'd like to know if the benefits of a 6-year enlistment outweigh the potential 2 additional years I may not like being there over a 4-year enlistment. From what I gather however one of my top 2 jobs listed below requires a 6-year enlistment, so this may be a moot point. 3. My second goal is to find a job in the Air Force that I will both enjoy and that will benefit me in the civilian world. To help me make my decision you should know that many of my interests are academic, such as History, Sciences, and Literature, as well as what you'd call "geeky" such as video games, fantasy, anime and what have you. I have also always wanted to learn another language but just haven't put in the time and effort to do so. So far I've narrowed down my top two job choices to "1N3X1 - Cryptologic Linguist" and "3D0X4 - Computer Systems Programming." Are there any other jobs that sound like they would interest me/are these even good choices for me? Also are there any tips for taking the DLAB and EDPT? From what I've gathered so far the EDPT should be fairly easy for me, but the DLAB may be an issue since I missed out on years of grammar in school. 4. What are some of the most interesting and up to date bases? I haven't done much research here so I'm open to any suggestions. That said I am anticipating a good score on the DLAB so that I can learn a language and perhaps get placed in a place in that language's country. For reference, my top 5 languages are Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, French and Italian in that order. If there's anything else you'd like to add, or that you need to know about me please feel free to share/ask. Thanks in advance for all the help.
I know this video is pretty old (4 years now) and not even sure if you still use this account/will reply, but if you don’t mind me asking what job did you end up getting and did you enjoy it (also how was tech school and all of that)? My top 2 choices are also a “Cryptologic Language Analysis” and “Computer Systems Programming”, as I think they will best transfer over to civilian life. If you see this message please reply !
Great vlog Kyle. Nice of you to take the time out of your leave. You did great. I was surprised the attendees did ask you a lot of questions. Was the Sgt your recruiter?
It will be difficult to find out what bases you can go too until you join, but what you can do is research TH-camrs who make interview videos about different AFSC/jobs and see what they say from there.
My mother told me that with the TSP while you're in the military, you can take a loan on whatever money you have in there and you are paying yourself back. So you become your own bank in a way. You pay yourself back with interest. It's better than paying interest to a bank
This may be a stupid question but how do you get around on base without a car? Is everything in walking distance or do they offer shuttle services or anything like that?
Matt G At least at Lackland my son told me they use to walk all over. But I know they have a shuttle FOR people and visitors with disabilities when they go for BMT. I don't think they can ride it. Well, he told me mom, that way I stay in shape......We be said our LATERS I offered to take the few AIRMAN with us back to Alcatraz they all refused said Thanks will walk including my son. So see you later Airmen and that was or week in San Antonio. Phenomenal!!!! Eagle's!!!!!! Second to none!!!! Wingmom!!!!HUA!!!!
Most places on the bases are within walking distance. Sometimes there's cabs. Sometimes you'll have a buddy with a car. And then there's always uber or lyft for when going off base.
Yes! In many cases, particularly where you go up in rank a little bit, it's even heavily encouraged (which is why they have programs like Tuition Assistance to help pay for schooling). However, your job always comes first. If school interferes with your job, your leadership won't be happy, and they may not approve of you doing it.
The air force offers associates (CCAF) through their Community College for all 150 jobs. You just need to complete your training (done early in your first enlistment) and typically complete six college elective classes. Most people in the AF have decent free time to complete classes. I suspect other branches may not have this advantage.
Hey ssgt gott, if your up to it i think it would be beneficial and/or interesting to a lot of people if you made a video about the rules for personal knifes on base
i don't know if there are regulations against this, but when your contract is coming up, start applying to civilian or other jobs before you get out. most applications you can put a start date when you're available. sometimes you can put in more detail that you're in the service and put your expected separation date. that way, you could get a job sooner after you leave, then get out, and be jobless for the coming months until you get a job. again, i don't know if there are any regulations the military denies you from doing that though.
Shipping out November 28th security forces... was my third choice but will make the best out of it and get my certs and degrees.. who else ships same date?
@kylegott Hi. I've been watching your videos for a while now. I have a question regarding what really is better...should I try and go reserve them maybe later on active duty if I can? Or go straight to active duty? I have a pretty decent job and was just wondering if the benefits are better for active or should I go reserve?.. thanks.
Don’t know if you’ll reply but I have a question not mentioned about the DEP program. I have been training my self to pass the bmt/pt but I have a cracked tooth with a few cavities and can’t afford a dentist trip. I was wondering if the military would pay for it and give a dep as long as I swear in which I would?
Yes. The Air Force will take care of all of your dental. Once you’re in, you will be scheduled a dentist appointment, and during that inspection, they’ll find anything they need to fix. Best part is it’s all free. Good luck man
Dear Kyle, When you were talking to your recruiter about job opportunities in the air force, were you able to get a secured job before you shipped off to boot camp?
Akatsuki Lushy yes/no. If you want a different job possibly, you can change your job sheet. But if a job has already come down and is assigned to you, then no
If you apply for the direct shipment program you can change your job. But you already have to be signed up for the job they give you which means there is no guarantee. But most of the time you will be given other opportunities as there is a lot of people in the program so jobs are being swapped daily
In they Navy's DEP you can ask for a DAR, a Dep Action Request, it basically says that youll ship at a sooner date with a different job. However, I'm not sure if it's the same with the USAF.
Kyle, i didn't happen to notice anything in the USAF career that reflected a career path in meteorology or atmospheric sciences. I am aware of the 26th Operational Weather Squadron based out of Barksdale AFB in Louisiana as well as various other weather units. I am a college grad. Can i patch up anything past an E3 after basic based on education? I hope you realize that producing these videos, as i see it, is such an invaluable service to the country and those folks considering USAF. Nice job Bro.
Really sticks how bad military pay is. Was plainly evident in Gott's vids. I understand it is suppose to be more about country and service, but sheesh!!
@@brycestrong8195 it's not good, but it's not bad. An e1 with no college who plays their cards right can put 20k + in savings per year. Most independent 18 year olds can't do that... Plus all the other benefits and certifications you can take advantage of. Its a good way to live middle/upper middle class if you're responsible and go through your enlistment the smart way
a ROTH-IRA is another retirement account to look into. again, i don't know when in the service if there's any regulations, but it's comparable to a civilian company 401K, but just your own personal retirement plan.
If you are looking to join already with your bachelor degree what is the best option? Is ROTC the best way to go if you’re looking to continue schooling and get another bachelors or should you enlist and try to go OCS or try to join as an officer?
If you're looking to travel, and make that extra flight pay money, ask your recruiter about Career Enlisted Aviator jobs! In-Flight Refueling, Flight Engineer, Aircraft Loadmaster, Airborne Mission Systems, Special Missions Aviator, Etc.
I’m still considering the Air Force, i’m thinking about it even more now that you’ve said deployment isn’t like it is in the movies because that was really making me nervous. That was one of my biggest things especially with everything going on with North Korea right now. I graduate in 2 years, planning to enlist after & go in and have a job working with computers. I still can’t decide whether to go for 4 or 6....
Kyle and Nava are great for these job. Kyle can careless because he doesn't like his job. He just said it on this video in front of the two recruiters. The difference with Nava is that he wanted PA at the beginning work in ADMIN and got PA at the end) But the U.S. Force should reconsider with Kyle and Makenna because they represent the generation of You Tubers and young people doing things right. McKenna is only 1 year and 1/2 in the AF and guess who is going to be with her all the time.......Kyle. BLESSINGS guys.
If I join Security Forces. Will I have time or can I even attend college classes. I heard you can possibly work 12 hour shifts and depending on where I am at.. I may not even be able to go to college. Thanks
Austin P. Says a person that wasn't even SF duh? I would look more into it before but then again you do get credits towards criminal justice look it up...idk this guy says he only saw things but my thing is how if you were so busy doing your own job? Apparently you must have had alot of free time...but again Austin my son is doing his 4 yrs...getting out going reserves becoming a Police Officer then going back to school with the GI Bill...so I guess it all depends on you and what you want...good luck..
Hawaii Island Dream Productions Thank you very much. Decided I'm not going into SF. Just looking for a fun/interesting job while I'm going to college. Good luck to your son 👊
yeah I have a question when due you ship out. too boot camp.? more like how long is the wait. ? also could you switch from reserve too active duty.?. plus what are the odds you'll end up where you want to be.
Exactly when during the zero night or during receiving week a trainee's backpack/belongings get searched in Lackland? I know at USMC and ARMY the MTIs asks you to pour down everything from your backpack and then they go through every piece of your belongings. Is it the same case for Air Force? (Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to sneak in any contraband ot BMT. Just curious in case I can take few tums with me or a photographs or two of my finance. )
Careful telling kids they need x years of experience. If they have active time, they’ll be fine. Also plenty of options on the Fed side with VA Hiring preferences.
If I sign for TACP am I going to deploy right out of tech school and do I have a chance to go to some bases like Okinawa, Italy or Greece? -thanks in advance
Each AFSC/job will be different. As that job is special forces it is different from regular Air Force jobs, but in my opinion I think you will not deploy right away you would go to your duty station. Also for being stationed it comes down to if your job can go there and where the Air Force needs you.
So, my recruiter sometimes doesn't know answers to my questions. My husband was in the Marine Corps, so he has a inactive reserves ID. Should I put him on my guest form for graduation? Or should I not have to since he is in the DoD system?
Ok, thank you. Cause he was told that with his inactive reserves ID he could still get on base but I wasn't too sure and my recruiter said he didn't know either. I just don't want to not put him on the list and him miss my graduation.
Hi, I am shipping on Oct. 27th and I will already be pinning on A1C. What if I did 6 years? Would I get Sr Airman after Tech School or how would my promotion work. My Job is Adv Fighter Integrated Avionics.
I am currently in DEP. How can i research what jobs are available at certain bases? is that something i need to run through my recruiter or is there i source online? i cant seem to find one.
Can I join the Air Force active duty if I'm prior service?? I hear it's very hard if I'm prior service but I want to join Air Force for active duty service
Jerry Dennis Jr. jerryjr1982 it’s possible man. You just have to be really open to what the Air Force has for prior service at the time of re-entering. If your previous has skills that are transferable to the air Force, it makes the process much easier. Hope this helps.
Kyle, how many job positions do you have to list on your dream sheet? There are only two positions that I am interested in, which are boom operator or loadmaster. Can I hold out for these in DEP without being dropped for being “job locked”? I am very eager to join but am in no rush. The reserves say they can guarantee my position/aircraft, but I would much rather go active duty for the pay and benefits since I have a family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
So TDY is volunteering and you should always volunteer for the experience? Right? I ship out to BMT on September 25th and i wish it would be sooner. I'm pumped! Tech school sounds awesome too. I hope my training is long!
Hi Kyle, I was wondering if there are a lot of places to go in Okiwana Japan like forest that you can hike in or a lot of wild life or the best base you know of in the Air Force. I plan on joining the Air Force and have an idea of what job I want. Do you know if Puerto Rico is a base? Thank you!
Mckenzie Berringer you should just be able to google all Air Force bases and all options should come up and what goes on there so you have an understanding. There’s plenty to do in Okinawa especially enjoy the ocean if you’re into snorkeling, and there are hiking spots but do realize that Okinawa is a very small island and a lot of people do start getting a bit bored of it. Taking leave and going to mainland japan is always a great since it really is one of the most amazing places in this planet.
I'm waiting for my meps review to come back before I can go to meps. Been like two months since I've heard anything from my recruiter. Don't know what I should do. Also I've tried to reach out to him.
rhykera b Yes. DEP is before basic. It’s the part of the process which allows your recruiter to meet with you once a month, to help prepare you for basic training. I hope this helps

+Bruce Coi I wasn't trying to be funny. Kyle actually resembles the actor who has played Captain America in the recent Avengers movies.

Screaming Dean Captain America did Army though 😂 But he does look like Chris Evans.
another option my half-sister's husband did is join the Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve (forget which one he chose) after a tour or two of active duty and take a civilian job with the Air Force.
YOU ARE NATURAL USAF CAREER AIRMAN THINK BEFORE U GET OUT............I WISH I HAD STAYED IN ....
Veronica Thank You for your Service. I'm an Air Force Veteran. I served 8/71 - 5/75 & like you I wish I had stayed in as well. My Mom told me to stay in & I didn't listen and I regret it to this day. Good suggestion to Kyle.

Is Air Force the best branch for benefits in later on life after the military
All 5 branches receive the same benefits.
Most Air Force jobs translate over better than army, marines and navy
@@mclovin6224 that's not necessarily true
The answer is yes. No other branch offers you a regionally accredited degree for just training on your job. The air force has 150 jobs and if you finish your basic training requirements, you can get a degree.
Hello Kyle and everyone,
I plan on joining the Air Force and have a few questions regarding my options.
Thanks for your reply mate, every bit of information helps!
Hey thanks Kyle for your videos. I swear in soon and I'm supposed to leave in January for basic
Nellis is a pretty good station to work at. Not to mention all of the Red Flag Exercises
How do I do my research about a career that can go almost everywhere especially the top 8 bases I would pick?
It will be difficult to find out what bases you can go too until you join, but what you can do is research TH-camrs who make interview videos about different AFSC/jobs and see what they say from there.
My mother told me that with the TSP while you're in the military, you can take a loan on whatever money you have in there and you are paying yourself back. So you become your own bank in a way. You pay yourself back with interest. It's better than paying interest to a bank
Great informative vid!! Makes me excited to enlist
SUPER HELPFUL! THANK YOU!
This may be a stupid question but how do you get around on base without a car? Is everything in walking distance or do they offer shuttle services or anything like that?
I'd like to know this too.
Thank you. Very Informative.
when i had to pick where i wanted to go i told them to suprise me i was happy with anywhere :)
Hey Kyle, for the longer videos like this could you add time stamps next time? Thanks for the help btw!
Jodywithawhy! Lol great video
Is it possible to pursue an associates or bachelors degree while being active duty ?
Ha! I used to work with Sgt Reed!
Deissy Sanchez ayeeee. 😊
Kyle you are awesome, I have 70 pounds to lose before I can enlist, I can't wait to join up and serve.
Did u lose them?
Shipping out November 28th security forces...
was my third choice but will make the best out of it and get my certs and degrees.. who else ships same date?
Emmanuel Asare shucks my son ships Dec 12th SF...good luck...
I ship the same day as you. Where are you shipping from?
Brey Squire my son is shipping from Honolulu, Hawaii
Brey Squire nov 28?
Emmanuel Asare yeah we have a group chat if you want to join it
@kylegott Hi. I've been watching your videos for a while now. I have a question regarding what really is better...should I try and go reserve them maybe later on active duty if I can? Or go straight to active duty? I have a pretty decent job and was just wondering if the benefits are better for active or should I go reserve?.. thanks.
Minnot is a big city in North Dakota I live 1:30 minutes from it
Don’t know if you’ll reply but I have a question not mentioned about the DEP program.
Can you change your job while in the delayed entry program?
Donovan Grimsley q
Kyle, i didn't happen to notice anything in the USAF career that reflected a career path in meteorology or atmospheric sciences. I am aware of the 26th Operational Weather Squadron based out of Barksdale AFB in Louisiana as well as various other weather units. I am a college grad. Can i patch up anything past an E3 after basic based on education?
I hope you realize that producing these videos, as i see it, is such an invaluable service to the country and those folks considering USAF. Nice job Bro.
No, theres no incentive past e3, it doesn't matter how much college you have. Unless you go officer
Its a good way to live middle/upper middle class if you're responsible and go through your enlistment the smart way
There is weather in the airforce
I live in Washington state and the desks at the recruiting office are the same xD
Mofunky ayyy Washington REPRESENT! 💯💯
Mofunky same in Georgia 😂
Thanks Kyle I mean it! I'm gonna be going pararescue won't be easy but I won't quit.. I can't quit
Has Kyle done a video about inactive reserves?
Inactive reserve is literally nothing. They only call you back if there's a war or somthing
I’m just watching this video it’s 2024. It this information still the same today?
Great info !
a ROTH-IRA is another retirement account to look into. again, i don't know when in the service if there's any regulations, but it's comparable to a civilian company 401K, but just your own personal retirement plan.
I want to go to Minot
If you are looking to join already with your bachelor degree what is the best option? Is ROTC the best way to go if you’re looking to continue schooling and get another bachelors or should you enlist and try to go OCS or try to join as an officer?
You said you left base often and when on trips while in Japan. How were you able to do those things despite the language barrier?
People don't always know the language of places they travel to...
What air force jobs allows you to travel more, or at least be around and fly with aircrafts? I heard Kyle say load master once but is that all?
Fuels. In-air fueling. Basically anything to do with air craft maintenance. They'll fly you all over the world to work on planes
If you're looking to travel, and make that extra flight pay money, ask your recruiter about Career Enlisted Aviator jobs!
In-Flight Refueling,
Flight Engineer,
Aircraft Loadmaster,
Airborne Mission Systems,
Special Missions Aviator,
Etc.
become a "flying crew chief"
Alex Barreto if you can get crew chief as a job on cargo aircraft, you have a possibility to work up to a flying crew chief
Interesting question 👍
Can you do Air Force flight attendants videos
What was the former job of the recruiter speaking ?
So can photojournalist go anywhere I can’t find anything
Great stuff
Can you please do a video on your thought about Air Force JROTC
Hi. I'm planning on joining the US af, What is the best book to study for ASVAB?
Kaplan
If I join Security Forces. Will I have time or can I even attend college classes. I heard you can possibly work 12 hour shifts and depending on where I am at.. I may not even be able to go to college. Thanks
Homer Fry Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it
Austin P. Much Mahalo(Thank you) Glad you were able to find a job that you will be happy with...
Hawaii Island Dream Productions 🙏
yeah I have a question when due you ship out. too boot camp.? more like how long is the wait. ? also could you switch from reserve too active duty.?. plus what are the odds you'll end up where you want to be.
Can your family members visit you if you're stationed overseas? And if so, can they stay in the dorm with you? Thanks in advance!
TDY that’s what it is .. next time the drifting lady comes up I’ll know to put TDY and not just Alaska
Just curious in case I can take few tums with me or a photographs or two of my finance. )
What is MEPS? I am was an active duty officer and putting in my application to join the reserves and I have to do something called MEPS what is that.
Thanks Kyle ;)
Careful telling kids they need x years of experience. If they have active time, they’ll be fine. Also plenty of options on the Fed side with VA Hiring preferences.
Why is there a trifold Turkish flag
Rogue Raven - One of the recruiters was probably stationed there before
My office partner was stationed there a couple of years. When he returned to the states, they gave him a flag.
I leave nov 7th for airforce basic.....anybody with me?
What happens if the background clearance is not approved before BMT?
I want him has a recruiter, where is he?😅
If I sign for TACP am I going to deploy right out of tech school and do I have a chance to go to some bases like Okinawa, Italy or Greece?
-thanks in advance
Each AFSC/job will be different. As that job is special forces it is different from regular Air Force jobs, but in my opinion I think you will not deploy right away you would go to your duty station. Also for being stationed it comes down to if your job can go there and where the Air Force needs you.
Where would I search for the jobs in the medical field?
So, my recruiter sometimes doesn't know answers to my questions. My husband was in the Marine Corps, so he has a inactive reserves ID. Should I put him on my guest form for graduation? Or should I not have to since he is in the DoD system?
If he has a CAC, then you do not need to put him on your list.
BrananaLoves as long as he has a cac he can get on base
Ok, thank you. Cause he was told that with his inactive reserves ID he could still get on base but I wasn't too sure and my recruiter said he didn't know either. I just don't want to not put him on the list and him miss my graduation.
for a personal extension you do not need a reason
Hi, I am shipping on Oct. 27th and I will already be pinning on A1C. What if I did 6 years? Would I get Sr Airman after Tech School or how would my promotion work. My Job is Adv Fighter Integrated Avionics.
I’m from Cedar Rapids currently in the process of enlisting, need a waiver hope it gets accepted
MitchelltheMVP get with Sgt Lacy out there. If he can get the waiver approved, he’ll do it.
I wish you could come to my DEP meetings!
JodyWithAwhy Thank you
Kyle, how many job positions do you have to list on your dream sheet? There are only two positions that I am interested in, which are boom operator or loadmaster. Can I hold out for these in DEP without being dropped for being “job locked”? I am very eager to join but am in no rush. The reserves say they can guarantee my position/aircraft, but I would much rather go active duty for the pay and benefits since I have a family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Brandon DiPierri you list 10 Jobs
THIS is a screwdriver, THIS is a wrench XDXDXD
I'm waiting for my meps review to come back before I can go to meps. Been like two months since I've heard anything from my recruiter. Don't know what I should do. Also I've tried to reach out to him.
Fall sounds like a bad recruiter
is dep before you go to basic ?
rhykera b Yes. DEP is before basic. It’s the part of the process which allows your recruiter to meet with you once a month, to help prepare you for basic training. I hope this helps
JodyWithAwhy can i send you something my recruiter sent me i have a few questions
