This is probably one of the best Uchi mata tutorials in youtube, very precise and well explained, thank you for making this videos!!! This will definitly help me improve my game!!!
Excellent tutorial!!!!! You clarify interesting aspects of Uke's positioning. Also great idea on showing what is advanced and mid-experienced. Thank you again. I am going to try to apply these concepts for hane goshi and see. From the US thank you!
Thanks so much ! I'm 168cm tall... so everyone is a giant against me 😁 i abandonned uchimata for this reason. The ciruclar step against Giant looks effective . I'll try it next Time . And maybe get back uchimata in my judo
These are the best 🌟 judo tutorials I have found, and I learn the way you are teaching the technique👍. You are providing many details about the hands and feet placement that make sense to me 💯 , and I wish I knew these tricks years ago because they make Judo fun
on chadi's channel he cited you saying that uchi mata is just a variation of hane goshi, this is why japanese judokas practice / demonstrate hane goshi as uchi mata. I think that goes way further and implies a lot more things that are controversial than simply your explanation of "saving uke's body". Can you confirm / explain more in detail? I firmly believe uchi mata is different and not a variation of hane goshi.
Thanks Konstantinos-Antonios BME-MLS✋ Interesting question😀If I'm tall, I use long limbs. I think that UCHIMATA that entangles the legs is effective. More like hooking than jumping.
Thanks Muhammed Patel🖐️ Reason why we believe makikomi is dangerous is because your partner lands his/hers entire body weight on you. Most of the time when makikomi is applied, it is done forcing the technique. Unlike, other techniques that require more timing and understanding leverage. Another reason why we believe makikomi is dangerous is because it is hard for your partner to break fall correctly especially, when your partner’s body weight is landing on you.
He thinks Uchi-mata-makikomi is a dangerous technique? He needs to see how it is supposed to be done. The Collier Method of Judo has a better variation with more power and balance.

👌👌👌 YES. This brought back some memories of my failed uchimata attempts, which might have been successful had I tried one of these variants. Cheers.

今年稽古に新入りの巨人が来てくれているので、参考になります。しかし、そもそも内股に対して自信のない私のことだから、コツが分かっても無理ではないかと思っています。
