@@harrylob204 Honestly, skull forts are very easy, the only issue it the time consumption. They do take quite a bit of time to complete. Of course the more people you have the faster it'll go. I found out the fastest for me seems to be a brigantine. The ship moves fairly fast, it's easy enough to maneuver and you're less likely to have slightly less intelligent than average players.

@@harrylob204 Idk. I rarely get attacked by enemy ships, and if I do, they're fairly easy to sink. Crack their masts with some chain shot, fire over some fire bombs so they start burning to death and unload a bunch of cannon balls. If you're feeling real frisky, you can store explosive barrels in your crows nest and have someone jump onto their ship with one and ignite it.

@D R A Y K O V S Same here, I’m trying to grind for legendary merchant of fauna and I learned that some islands are glitched with no animals so it gets very annoying sometimes.

I chased pigs and chickens for 47 levels :D until letters were released and bought my self the last 3, it was very sad.

Ken I’d recommend if your on xbox do a looking for group and try to get a full crew. Always keep one on ship so you can see a ship coming and just normal keg them. Hope this helps
After you get the key grab it and sail away from the fort for awhile and come back later and unlock the door and grab the loot. Usually a new fort spawned and they wknt be looking in your direction anymore
Just get a full crew and always be prepared for anything, play ahead

Actually:
1) Spam raids untill you reach lvl 30 on Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls and Merchant Alliance.
2) Then get Merchants to 50 by doing cargo runs in the devil (re-roll the mission untill you get 6+ crates to deliver or a very close delivery isle), you don't really need to use Recommendation Letters here, keep them for the ORder of Souls :P
3) Get Gold Hoarders to 50 by doing devil's quests (possibly re-roll until you get islands that are close to each other or a lot of chests on a small island) and using Recommendation Letters (use them past lvl 40/45).
4) Try to get Order of Souls to 50 using Recommendation Letters and by doing devil's quests (bait the skeleton captains to the geysers to kill them easely), also pray for an event like the Dark Relics that you would boost you easely.
This is not as fast as doing strongholds
@@tomwhite7022 You are right it's not as fast as doing strongholds, in fact it's faster. Stronghold gives you around 20-30k in about 20-30 minutes (adding the time you need to get there and delivery stuff), also note that it is not 30k for each faction but a kind of random amount that goes from 5-10k per faction. Delivering 1 merchants crate in the Devil is an easy 1400 coins, by rerolling until you get 6-7+ crates (which happens 90% of the time) you are sure to get 8-12k golds with 1 delivery, and since the Devil is so small, as long as you reroll near 2-3 pick up points until you get one of those 3, it takes a little more than 5 minutes to get those easy 10k, since you get more gold you lvl up much faster. Dunno how this is still in the game, it's so broken. Also I recently discovered that your rep lvl doesnt matter, even if you are a new player that started to play the game right now you can get 6-8 crates in the devil, don't know what the devs are doing here.
Same for gold hoarders, since the devil is so small it's easy to reroll a voyage with islands close to each other (also you should try to look for small islands with a lot of chests on it, which is also easier to find in the devil). Remember that ashen chests are worth the double! How much you get from this voyages is a bit RNG but overall you still get around the same money as doing a raid, which is ok since the plan at this point is to focus on one alliance at a time.
Unfortunately the only problem here is Order of Souls which is painfull to level but voyages in the devil are way easier since you can kill all the skeletons waves and bosses with geysers. Still, I got it to 50 with the Dark Relics event which basically granted you 20-25k in 10-15 minutes.
I really wanted to do this easy way to level up for a really long time but every time im just so paranoid

I can never find a team and open crew never works and I’ve soloed 13 forts and got jumped 10 of them.
I'm a level 10 Pirate Legend and I approve this video. (try to get an alliance going to help you out if possible because you can get part of their loot also)
Ronnie Bickers Jr i formed alliance with a sloop and they stole our loot we chased them across the map and we sunk their ship and got all our loot back

This game is great but now since one or three weeks the skull forts have changed and more and more sweaty try-hard pirate legends come along and screw us over. It's literally every session now so it's really not much fun. :(
@@DiablotheCheater Just dont die, play smart & dont be afraid to temporarily retreat! I'm a great captain, we get countered every time we go to the skull fort but never get sunk! Sometimes we have to retreat but at least we have a chance to come back that way

The best way to get legend is having fun with the game, i for example only sank ships since release to get legend. I sure did some normal quests but not as much, i just had fun.

Alright I got some maths ahead sorry if it’s wrong
A reapers chest gets you 15 doubloons each meaning for every 2 reapers chest you get a level in reputation
This means that 15x2x150 is 4500 divide that by 15 is 300 meaning if you get 300 reapers chests you can get to pirate legend taking a week or more depending on how long often you play.
I need 54 more as I’m level 41 in all.

Yeah I was 3 away in each so all it took was 270 doubloons which was 18 chests, just got pirate legend today🥳

Landon Fuu I usually solo sloop and Just dumpster the people at the forts. I play pc and do mainly pvp while the rest of the player base is mainly pve and aren’t good at pvp fights.

This it it the fort is the fastest way, but quick tip guys, if you done with one fort go away until the island spawn, than gi back make it once again. And the prizez got 2x (actually one acient dust cost maybe 5000 gold but if you have two it cost more than 10k)

Skull forts are even better for rep now because you can sell the strong barrel and other things to any merchant.

Sonny Dunn you could still do skull forts you just have to know what your doing. Look it up “how to solo a skull fort” that’s how I learned
i think half xp should be awarded straight up and the other half after cash in. just so you didnt waste time but were still punished. allows you to enjoy the game more

quickest way is doing devils roar athenas if you have a pl in your team. else just go for normal missions once you pushed yourself far enough with forts to actually get valuable loot
Im not shaming this stratagy but it isnt really going to be that easy for the first half because the skull forts are pretty hard and once those are done, when trying to bring back a mega keg you will have to look out for players and if one slips in then your ship is a goner so i would put i a bit of a warning sign on this one although it is a REALLY good strat

See I can't farm Skeleton forts because I solo so I always get jumped while I'm fighting or loading up the treasure.
I play with a friend and we get attacked while doing forts all the time. We have found a good way to get easy treasure is to grind reaper ship wrecks. Go get all the treasure from the ship wreck but leave the reaper chest behind because it’s useless.
Stop playing sea of thieves; its perhaps the worst game to play solo. The game is bad in its own right and only gets carried by the social elements of it. there are hundreds HUNDREDS of much better games to play if you are flying solo

It’s “Sea of Thieves” not “Sea of Friends”
Jesus...okay just because it's called Sea of THIEVES, it doesn't give assholes an excuse to be shitty and target new players or CASUALS, just because they do not know how to play the game as well! Personally, assholes like "AWD mylife" here are the ones that have made me HATE playing solo...and since I don't have many if any friends, that means I play the game WAY less. If people learning the game didn't keep getting targeted, maybe the community would thrive and grow more. NOT suggesting we just all be friends on the sea...but at least be mindful! If you can obviously TELL the person is new or otherwise just not too good at the game, why not go find someone ELSE to piss off!?
Sea of thieves is a game where you can make enemies AND friends. That’s why there’s the alliance flag, but also why there’s the reapers flag. Some people want to get out there and be the ultimate thief. Some people want to sail with other pirates with a grog and a shanty. And if people are being friendly for gods sake don’t be that guy to not give a fuck.

I could do all mythic but I put it down to legendary in order to raise my resolution scaling a bit
I would do the forts but it is difficult for me (I play solo cause I don’t know anybody that plays SoT) so I usually just grind DR voyages for all three like the second part of the video.

Another good way at the moment is since the powder run event is on gems are more frequent so you could grind gems for the fishing alliance

So...just to put it out there; You know the mermaid gems can be sold to ANY alliance, right? They aren't ONLY for Hunter's Call. I remember when I started in SoT, I kept being told HC is the only place you can take the gems...all because THAT person wanted their HC boosted!
Now they have these Skeleton Lords and it gives a good amount of Reputation. Did the math and I become a Legend TOMORROW!!

So I've completed level 50 in all 3 trading companies and played music in the tavern. I cant access the hideout still. Am I missing a step here?
You have to buy all the upgrades from the 3 trading companies that are lvl 50 + you need to talk with mysterious stranger in the tavern

Any tips for solo players? I just started a couple weeks ago. I'm a decent player but it's hard on the seas solo. Just today I got ganked by two pirate legends I lost hours of work 20 or so chests and 10 skulls. It's pretty deflating when that happens.
I've watched Pace22 and Summit1g play in the past so I know to be very cautious and always on the lookout. Only so much one person can do though.

@@melissaharway4547 thanks. I got on a nice server tonight there was 5 gold hoarder ships and one reaper ship who seemed brand new. So i got away with soloing a fort and a few voyages.
Oh and one more thing before I sleep, don't join a emissary solo, any emissary rank 5 reaper can see you on the map.

So I have reached level 50 on 3 faction's. I've talked to the Mysterious Stranger. I have sailed to 3 different outposts. I have even restarted the game, but I still can't open the hidden cave!! What am I doing wrong!?

Flash Gamer 122 this is a tad outdated, I recommend some fort of the dammed’s with an alliance or friends as it gives you an Athena’s and 4 stronghold skulls and upwards of 4 spicy kegs so that’s the most worth it fort and easy way to move up in rep nowadays
@@HauntFactory1031 but finding dalliances is not easy plus you get betrayed alot and it takes a long time to complete it. Skull forts are quick and easy and norw efficient

Im not going to lie I have leveled up the hunters alliance faster then any other. Mermaid gems, fishing while sailing and cooking any meat we find is just too easy
