I love seeing Austin speak about something other than gay sex with such authority
It funnily makes him even more attractive and I'm not even gay lol.
Austin is the president of gay sex, though. Of course he constantly talks about it.
I love seeing Austin speak about gay sex with such authority,
but also the thing you said

Ironically, the pilots' competence and heroism was a key factor in bringing everyone home safe that night.
I bet she was scared for everyones safety. Respect to her.
Yeah now let’s make a movie about her like they did with that pilot that landed the plane in the Hudson River. The one with Tom Hanks… yeah I won’t hold my breath. This country is too racist and anti woman for that
As someone who has been in the aviation industry for nearly 2 decades, nothing Tim says in this segment about pilots or pressurization is remotely accurate.
It is a pretty safe assumption that nothing Tim says in general is remotely accurate.
@@Ipraytopesci Pretty similar to this channel.
@@chalkandcheese1868 This is a fan made channel, not Hasan's actual channel. If you want to hate watch, go to his actual channel.
@@chalkandcheese1868can you explain what wasn’t accurate about this segment. Or are you trying to take tims ignorant stance that minorities aren’t capable?
par for the course for anything tim says
Interesting how they skipped straight over capitalistic greed for profit and went straight to DEI.
They will spend the continuing months bashing it into every network at every opportunity. It helps them create that narrative that they are championing for something “all Americans” are concerned about just so it looks like what they are doing is acceptable behavior and not at all the Hitler playbook.
when have conservatives never not done this 😂
isn’t it such a coincidence that conservatives believe the issue is something that directly goes against their values? and they ignore something more obvious that agrees with their values?
Nevermind that they are somehow implying it's the pilot's fault when clearly the issue lies in the construction / maintenance of the airplane.
But he only shows conservatives making dumb takes when most of them are actually pretty rational logical people and we have more in common than we think why divide ourselves that’s exactly what the people in power want.
I can't believe Tim Pool went from 'the bolts are bad' to 'therefore it was the lady pilot' what a twist
Pretty sure he's locked into the cycle of injecting the latest hot topic (in this case Diversity Inclusion and Equity policies) into every video in order to maintain an audience. He originally gained traction for being a "free thinker" but now his views are being influenced by his audience since his livelihood depends on them.
imagine the confusion of the pilot when she lands successfully only to be used as a political pawn.

Maybe Timothée Poolamet gets his aviation knowledge from the emperors new groove, he thinks Kronk is just pulling random levers which open trap doors all over the plane

My dad watches him unironically and I can't believe it. He's at the bottom of the barrel of right wing political commentary, which says a lot.
my dad believed in the whole "affirmative action made white men the minority" thing, he was an engineer who worked at a fertilizer plant for 21 years, the same one his dad worked at, and was fired in 2019 because his alcoholism was affecting his job performance (he was also very sick due to it). he blamed it on affirmative action constantly, saying they hired a black woman in his place. he also claimed he took some kind of test in college where you got more points for being a woman, poc, lgbt, etc??? he was adamant cishet white men were the most oppressed group in america lmao
lol tell your father he got fired bc he sucks ass
That’s super interesting, did he change his views?
Was the “test” perhaps something taken as an example in a psychology class? Something like an Emotional Quotient Inventory, Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire, etc.? Lol

@highoninfinity good on you for recognizing his bull and not eating it up!
It seems like examples like your lead people to extreme views, when people buy their propaganda then we end up with conservative extremism, when you see that they’re lying or just wrong then people seem to come out the other side being a leftist… in the US having a leftist perspective is about as extreme as it gets
Sure. Because of course it's the pilot who didn't put the bolts into the door plug behind the plastic bulkhead covering it. This is simply wild.
It can't have anything to do with Boeing slashing their workforce and construction standards.
shhh, u can't criticize companies. it doesn't rile people up
Austin is the man. talk about living your best life. I like people that are happy. Dude seems like a great guy.
⚠Warning⚠ No diving is allowed in the Tim Pool. The water is far too shallow and we are not responsible for any traumatic head injuries you may sustain. 🏊
I can't belive gay disabled planes are costing dear american lives
Airplanes don't crash that often and they don't have that many problems. It's actually just the US-made airplanes. This is mainly due to the fact that training in the USA is trash and companies like Boeing save on personnel costs for profit.
I wish we could pick which planes we flew on in this country.
Grrrr too long of a explanation just say whoakyness or something grrr!

let that sink in.
"It's actually just the US-made airplanes"
*US-made airliner planes by Boeing, you mean
There's plenty of US-made planes of other sorts that are the S-tier standard for what they do.
even the "Boeing planes are shit" label only really applies to the newer airliners from them in the last decade or two. They were the industry standard for a while, even if they have been on a decline of sorts since the merger with McDonnell Douglas.
Our airline companies (the companies that buy and operate the planes) are garbage though and also have been for a while.
So funny seeing a handful of chatters saying "oh Austin is actually a pilot?"
Austin has one of the most interesting backstories

""Woke Airplanes" are falling from the sky." - Tim Pool
The thing that blows my mind is that Tim apparently doesn't realize that there have been mechanical failures on airplanes for as long as there have been airplanes. Like, do they really think this is a recent thing? Their rational that this is a DEI issue makes zero sense.
Rational thinking isn't involved
Austin literally just left, how are you so good!!!

Bros blaming the pilot for not building her own plane😂😂😂
this has hit me like a truck. my dad is in the plane industry and rants all the time to me about how diversity hires are ruining piloting / air traffic / air force. i’ve been dumbfounded as to why he thinks this, but now i have finally found his source. he is a big tim pool head. i’m so disappointed but not surprised lmao

Love how they bounce off of chat while still chatting with each other and relaying some important information. Very cool. 18:00 ish - I might as well just rewatch the whole clip though.)
The airline knew that the plane had pressurization issues. They limited the plane to short flights over land.
I think the reason the tapes got erased is so they can cover up the part where the pilots discuss pressing the port side door plug eject button
Why would they discuss that?
Wait... this is sarcastic right? XD
Like, there's no way a button that blows the door up is gonna be in the cockpit 😂
"dude we pressed the eject button! Fuuuuuck... Quick, Tim pool can't know about this! Erase it all! Crash the entire plane! Tim mustn't be alerted to our cool dei scheme! There's too much to lose!"
There is a difference between "erased" and "overwritten".
The first thing I do whenever I accidentally push the eject button is to push it again real fast to undue it.
That beanie has to be covering up a softball sized dent in that dome.

While hard landings aren’t a big deal they 100% aren’t better for the plane than a normal landing. If you land hard enough you can cause cracks in the frame and stuff but you would have to basically have to over speed the plane or drive it into the ground. I’ve been an airframes mechanic for the last 20 years before someone says what do I know. Only times I’ve seen a hard landing do real damage was on the carrier in bad seas and the swell pitched the deck up as the pilot was landing causing the gear to drive up way harder than a normal landing. But on land the pilot would almost have to do it on purpose
Not saying he's right, but to defend him, he did say "within reason" so I'm going to guess the situations you described are beyond that.
I'm also guessing Austin is mixing up "hard" with "solid".
Love Austin’s post-cruise outfit
34:33 instead of hitting the cruise control button she hit self destruct button on accident lmao
i love when austin goes peak autism mode, its so endearing /gen
I went on a 747 over a decade ago, but we were flying out as a normal commercial flight before HUGE planes became kinda normal. 737s were way more normal. So when they tried to fuel the plane, they broke it, and filled the wrong part of the plane with fuel. They had to fly a new part in to fix it and fuel it. If they didn't have enough censors in that situation, I would be dead, probably. But my grandfather was one of the engineers who helped build the thing way back, so I felt kinda safe going in?
Definitely worth the 17 hour delay before the 23 hour flight. You don't want people shrugging that off lol. Did suck though. It was a weird situation where a rich guy rented it for a religious charity thing to fly a ton of people to go see the pope. So there was no changing flights lol.

I’m so glad you did a reaction to this. I saw this and immediately shut off his video and thought he was an idiot. I’m SF in the Air Force and even I know that it’s not the pilots that do any work it’s the maintainers or crew chiefs or whatever they’re called in the civilian side i’m convinced Tim pool sold out for the right to either make the right stupider or to bring people from the left to the right. I feel the same about Hasan but for the left😘
You think Hasan exists to make the left stupider and bring over right wingers? Lol
Austin truly is a man of the people. My reaction was almost identical.
Getting laid off flight simulator is one of the craziest things ive ever heard
Watching Dim Tool is like getting stuck in a conversation with someone you hung out with in high school that hasn’t grown up at all in the past 15years
Does Tim pool not realize how much you have to do in order to become a commercial pilot? My girlfriends brother is going through an aviation program to become a pilot and the standards to get a commercial pilots license take years to complete.
Edit: what I mean, is that you have to prove competency in order to fly a commercial plane

That female pilot is a hero! She landed the plane and everyone got home safe. How is Tim Pool demonizing this woman? How about that pilot that landed the plane in the Hudson river?! The male pilot was such a hero that Tom Hanks played him in a movie. How is Tim Pool leaving that out?
This 💯
His jump to diversity hires is… It’s not even a jump, it’s a leap off a cliff 😂
in their world (tim pool and the like) no cis straight white man has EVER made a single mistake in their entire life. just pure flawless god like beings
My favorite thing about this timeline is that all of the culture war issues and most problems in the news cycle have the simplest answer/explanation but it gets turned into this nonsense
Was in a single engine cesna with a buddy of mine and I was high as a kite, we almost got called off for wind but went up anyway. We were getting thrown around like a leaf in the wind. I'm shitting myself and he decides to call it quits and head in.
We get coming in for the approach slowly losing altitude to get down to the runway, we get to about 40-50 feet above the grass and a HUGE gust of wind pushes the plane down within a millisecond. We barely made it to the runway, I swear the tires almost hit the grass. Slammed down hard and bounced a couple times. Last time I ever been in one of those tiny things 😂😂😂.
Wow it's incredible how beanie boy speaks so confidently on a number of topics he knows absolutely dick about
Classic Tim "everyone (citizens included) should be able to own a Nuke" Pool logic.
can vouch on the airplane sim being gay as hell
Airplane accidents usually happen when several things go wrong at once such as technical issues and miscommunications and the situation becomes to mentally taxing/complex for the pilot. Therefore having a plane that's easier to fly like the Airbus might be safer even if the pilot isn't as experienced, because the pilot has more breathing room to deal with the issues at hand before getting overwhelmed and making mistakes.
i'd also add that having to do many things manually can also cause human mistakes. i can imagine airbus pilots know what to do when there is a necessity for manual intervention but generally, leaving it the machine is overall a better idea, in my opinion.
This is crazy because my dad & I were discussing about how wonderfully the pilot handled the situation & we didn't even know the gender of the pilot or anything.
IIRC both the Boeing 777 and 787 are fly by wire. Also if you lose all the hydraulics in a 737 there is a high probability that the direct cable/pulley to the control surfaces will not be a solution due to the forces involved. The design and engineering of these planes are the things that keep them in the air and they have to be rigorously audited before they are given the go ahead - and this is the part that air transport industry is currently failing - not the pulleys vs. wires debate.
Come on Austin, you don't have to cover for Big Pilot, everybody knows a pilot personally checks every single nut and bolt on a plane before flying. They should have torn the wall off and spotted the loose bolts!
I know Austin watches all of Mentour Pilot's uploads just like me fr

When the pilot got sucked out of the cockpit that one time the fault was an incorrect bolt size used for screwing in the windshield. Could be the same with the door plugs.

This is hilarious. I'm a new fan and subscriber.
It’s extra hilarious because like.. could he argue that DEI allowed more people to get into programs? Sure. It would be a stupid point, but sure. But then.. how exactly does that impact the outcome of them actually becoming a pilot? Is he implying that DEI somehow impacts successful completion of training, certification, etc.? Is he actually assuming that these things would be written off because .. diversity hires? That’s not how that works my guy 😂
Surely the safety is ultimately down to the airlines. The safest airlines by statistic fly all types of planes but have impeccable inspection regimes.
