I keep telling people that love languages limit your ability to Love and to be loved right but they refuse 😅

Yeah, when I started to feel this way, I realised that I needed to go back to the word for the definition of love

I think love language is action the act of kindness ❤️ patience...

To be patient is an action.
To give you a gift, or spend time with you or do things for you, are also different actions
Not to be confused with patience

The inventor of that theory was trying to simplify how we interpret love, especially romantic love. And ofcos you can have multiple love languages but you have primary ways in which you receive love. And yes these different love languages are an expression of the grand love which is kind and patient, long suffering etc

Couldn't have said it any better.

If love is patient, kind etc how do gifts for example interprete those things to you.
I truly believe, patience is patience. Someone is either patient with me or they are giving me a gift- two different concepts

@@manuelap.mulondo 🤭for God so loved the world that he gave!
It's a mind boggling discovery especially from my little observation, love languages are often trauma points(something missed while growing up: hugs, affirmation, gifts) .
I was urging in my mind but surely the bible is the standard not our little inadequacies.

      GAVE
      G1325
      Original: δίδωμι
      Transliteration: didōmi
      Phonetic: did'-o-mee
I have found it helpful to read the word of God in original text......enjoy 😉.

Very true, the love languages are deceptive and they a limited.

    • @manuelap.mulondo
      @manuelap.mulondo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes I do feel that they really are limited especially when you look at the definition of love from the Biblical perspective

I think the patience and kindness are foundational forms of love, but the love languages is how the person you are showing love perceived it..its kinda sad.. but the patience and kindness are usually felt by the giver and maybe years later understood by the receiver, so language is trying to let this person know you love them in a form they understand love.

So, if I buy you gifts or do things for you or spend time with you but I am impatient, keep record of your wrongs and unkind to you, then I love you?

There is nothing that is called love language those theories can be developed. Even you can invent one. Love is simply what the Bible says the others are just expressions from that feeling. Thats my theory😂😂. And guess what ! That part you have said is true sometimes someone can do something because they know you like it but when they dont love you. Those are my thoughts. Good morning

Let me not invent anything. Let me stick to 1 Corrinthians 13....... it explains love really well and gives me a great way to tell if someone really does love me or if I really do love someone.
