Sometimes those keeps just need a new crank sensor but those cable are a easy improvement
Yea it needs a few things but your right a new crank sensor is one of them the batteries were chewed on by animals

I did the road test for my first drivers license inside that same year model Cherokee. It was only a year old at the time. Seems like yesterday.

@semperfimechanic My car was a '86 Daytona. Driver tests only allowed automatics, so I ended up borrowing my aunt's Cherokee. Today, it's sitting out in her field rusting away. Hasn't run in years, but she won't let go of it, ha!

$200 for diag and relay switch seems kinda high, especially for a family friend
I charge $100 for a diganosis and charge $100 per hour and I come to her on a weekend and still charge less then a shop

hi semper fi, as someone who gets a lot of inspiration from your videos and is constantly working on stuff outside, how do you deal with snow? im pretty sure you get more snow than i do, but how do you work around it? im having major trouble making progress in the snow on my own work truck. and any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Well $200 for a diganosis and a repair and I bought the $20 relay and went and got it and came back so about 2 hours from start to finish and I charge $100 per hour

Crank sensor. Is your R.p.m. gauge moving
I only had 15 mins to look at it but we need the cables because its drop down to less then 7 by the time it gets to starter. So after I get these cables I will test the CSS
@@semperfimechanic I'm just guessing brother. From experience with these vehicles it's either crank sensor ( no rpm gauge) or computer ( no check engine light with key on, engine off) Keep on keeping on brother!

Your right we didnt. You havent seen some of the other videos man. The guy only had 10 mins before work plus we knew we would he back. If you go look at some of my long form videos you will see it was a crankshaft that we replaced. But the cables did need replaced and we do that as well
$200 bucks even a dealership dont charge that much to swap a relay
$200 total $100 diganosis fee. Then $100 per hr labor
Well took 1 hour to drive to parts store and back and put it in and the customer didnt leave the couch
