At 11:37 I went to BYU TV survivalist season 3 episode 7. Of course I was rooting for the Petit family. But I do believe that the White family really needed the win. Rewarding memories were definitely made during these four days, and everyone is a winner.🎉
I'm going to watch the episode but this tidbits are nice... Love that Hannah & Alex got to see some of the country their Ancestors came from, especially Hannah with her being 1st Generation!
I actually saw the episode last night before I watched this and it definitely was pretty cool to watch and then listening to your point of view on things plus behind the scenes made me understand a lot of the things that were going on as well as what you dealt with. I will say that I have gone camping and even gone to different camps as a kid, I honestly don’t recall ever being taught how to use a compass in any of them.
That was so exciting to watch you guys just push through all of that. I can see that Alex and Hannah made alot of progress with each other, but what I didn't see much of was Ariana. There was no questions for her and they really didn't show much of her. Was it more for Alex and Hannah to bond again? Love how Alex took care of mom.
They took Alex's "plea" to be closer to Hannah as one of the main problems they were to overcome as a family. That's why in the beginning of the episode, they showed him talking about how he wanted to grow a better, newer bond with his sister. It fit the episode's theme of siblings trying to reconnect.
Can we do a Q and A on this experience too! We have so many questions! Such as cut scenes, like Ariana barely had any moments I don’t recall her having a real scene.

I watched the episode and I cried so much, I’m happy that Alex admitted to being a bit ignorant to the fam.especially Hannah,I don’t know about anyone else but his attitude did change and The fact that him and Hannah are so close must of hurt Hannah.It was an amazing show and you all did an amazing job despite the heat,hikes and living on the land.Hannah kicked butt in the end and I really felt the love at the end.You may not have won 1st place but you did finish as a family ! I'm just happy yall survived. I am horrible with directions. The first time I went to Boston I wondered around for hours in Boston proper and the second day in caimbridge. Rode in a bus for the first time. I saw many things I wouldn't have seen other wise. Its a city made for walking. The second time with my mom I was kinda blind as I was there for a eye appointment. But I figured out the city grid the first time around. I told mom how to get back to our hotel multiple times. I found that when walking if you just keep walking you'll get there. Don't drive like that. I did the same thing in denver: went through some dangerous places.

I'm glad I taught both my kids how to use flint to start a fire my son learned in cub scouts and my daughter was there with us helping out she's a former girl scout so she knew also. It's a good skill to know just in case of emergency situations different ways how to start a fire.
I waited to watch this podcast until I first watched Survivalist.... Which I happened to find last night (for free) and finally watched it! I am so proud of all of you guys for surviving that!!!! I know I wouldn't have been able to! I love how when one of you was having a bad moment there was always somebody there to pick that person up or let them up or let them have their space. I watched the first 10 minutes or so.. I'm in Australia and hard to get that show because of zoning! My biggest take was hearing Kristals laugh and knowing she was having a good time. It sounds like they were looking for an "issue" to feature on a certain episode... beating up Alex movingas being an issue with Hannah in particular?
why was alana not on with you talking about the show. i mean i felt during the show she was just there to fill in and was the forgotten child cause the show never let her speak at all.
The show is based on the family member who is having a hard time with the other. The white family had a son who never talked bc the sisters were the focus to make amends. Im not sure why they dont have more scenes with the other kids like ariana and the little boy. The show is meant to overcome challenges and to do it as a family.
I would be interested if Alex and Hannah feel like they would like to share with us, how their relationship was and where it stands now. If they are still very close and if Hannah feels abandoned still or not. This obviously came from your BYUTV show and this podcast.

My biggest take was hearing Kristals laugh and knowing she was having a good time.
It sounds like they were looking for an "issue" to feature on a certain episode... beating up Alex movingas being an issue with Hannah in particular?
why was alana not on with you talking about the show. i mean i felt during the show she was just there to fill in and was the forgotten child cause the show never let her speak at all.
The show is based on the family member who is having a hard time with the other. The white family had a son who never talked bc the sisters were the focus to make amends. Im not sure why they dont have more scenes with the other kids like ariana and the little boy. The show is meant to overcome challenges and to do it as a family.
