I was blessed with perfect hiking and camping weather for this trip, and the views I got were out of this world!

Fantastic video Ash. I am a little biased as I live in North Wales. In Welsh Fawr means big and Fach means small. (The F is pronounced as the English V. Glyder derives from the Welsh word Cludair which means heap of stones. So basically they are big heap of stones and small heap of stones 😀. Does what it says on the tin 😁.

Amazing video & views mate. I was in the brecon beacons the weekend hiking from Penderyn to Brecon through the Waterfalls, up Fan Fawr for wild camping & on Sunday up pen y fan & down to brecon Town for a nice burger before the drive home 😄. It was amazing. Good head start video for my next trip, cheers mate and well done 👏👏👏👏👏

Cool time out Ash. 20 miles all round this time and not 20 meters. That mushroom wasn't a Liberty Cap known also as Psilocybin. I've picked thousands in my time and done an equal amount. It's out of season to. If you wanna trip you'll have to wait until late Oct early Nov when it's wetter. Well, good old swim. I've been swimming lately to. All he best. Mark

Only ever been to Snowdonia once 5 years ago to climb Snowdon but I loved it and watching this has made me want to go back. Mind you with all those blue skies and constant sun - you sure you are actually in Wales! Loved the climb up to Castell y Gwni and absolutely stunning views. Great place to camp and the sun dancing on the lake was magical and great to watch the sun set behind the Fells. Loved the night skies and great way to start the morning with a dip! Cheers Alan

Any issues with tics yet? If not then it's only a matter of time. I use the spray from Sawyer for all my equipment now if it's going to make contact with the ground then I spray it before I go and let it dry. Came back with 5 attached to me a couple of months ago so not a nice experience. We just take more precautions now.

Nice video, poor pronunciation! 😂😂 but don’t worry about it, it’s not easy if you don’t know. I thought you were going up Y Garn at the beginning, you took a roundabout route to keep us guessing. You picked a great pitch, I camped on Glyder Fawr last week on a horrible pitch I ended up finding the first bit of grass I could find in the dark! The night sky pics were awesome. 👍

I don't think that was a liberty cap. They usually have a distinct nipple. Those views are incredible. I'm halfway through....still watching.

love this part of the world, fab video and amazing views. been in love with Wales since i was a baby and yearly holidays on Anglesey. Snowdonia is just that bit special and there are plenty of remote places to be found away from Snowdon itself.

Nice to see you in my back garden. I love that place👍 It never disappoints. Conditions looked great Ash. Great stuff! PS a Liberty Cap has a slight nipple on the tip of it and they are usually out in the autumn! Had some unreal experiences with them back in the day!

Hey Ash I did a very similar circuit last weekend (without the Tryfan summit detour). Camped high up just below the summit of Glyder Fach on those grassy bits you were looking at earlier on. Also had a swim in that lake the following morning! Got a bit too much sun but a great time anyway. Excellent vid👍

Its been amazing weather I’m very lucky as snowdonia is on my doorstep but yes many beautiful places for hiking in wales. Have you ever done the north wales costal path or gone down the Llyn Peninsula some nice walks round aberdaron.

Hey Ash, what are your thoughts on the Ice Flame quilt? I've used mine down to about 6 degrees centigrade, which was fine, but not sure I'd want to go any lower than that without another layer. The filling looks a bit patchy in it, and I'm sure a bit of redistribution might add another degree, or 2 of warmth. But for the price, size and weight, I'm pretty pleased with mine. Quilts don't seem to be so popular here in the UK, but I'm a convert!
Hi dean! I love the quilt. I only got it to see if I got on with quilts before spending out, and I can say I’ll never use a sleeping bag again. Totally sold on them, think they’re becoming more popular over here now!
