    Very nice Chris. Interesting, the lead and tiling work. Pretty decent editing too.

    Beautiful job as always and once you painted the arch in white it made the door pop 👍

    Canopy perfect👍 French doors Looks good but not practical for me, to get in you need open 2 doors🤷‍♂️ and after another one door🤣

    Nice little job that I wouldn't use the plastic membrane as a underlay but I suppose as it's all out in the open it wouldn't be a issue 👍

    Nice job but I would have at least primed the backs of all the timbers to help stop them rotting from behind where they abut the brickwork.

  • @utilitarian
    @utilitarian 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Chris. Nice interesting upload. I love the narration too. When the line in the brickwork was cut out, it looked wonky - was this a visual thing because of the brick archwork? I couldn't work it out. Thanks in advance 🙂

    • @foundationgood123
      @foundationgood123  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not entirely sure what you mean, the arch will make it look strange but also when grinding the grove you can’t always get it pertly strait, but when its leaded in and filled with mortar or in my job lead mate, then it fills in and looks straight

    • @utilitarian
      @utilitarian 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@foundationgood123 that's exactly what I thought it was. I'd figured grinding it might have caused it but like you said, once finished it's not visible. Not a criticism, just wondered. 🙂

    Can the front of the canopy be changed if it has rotten away and would you have to support the roof of canopy to do so ? As mine has rotten and the easiest fix would be that if possible

    • @foundationgood123
      @foundationgood123  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cbuzz866 do you mean the fascia boards are soft and the wood deteriorated? You can remove them and change the boards. Regarding the rafters if they’re ok you don’t need to support the canopy

    Are those arch frames prefabricated? Are they expensive?

    DPC is not breathable it will cause the timber to sweat and rot. Sorry Chris just a observation.

    • @foundationgood123
      @foundationgood123  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think on such a small job and with it being open plan it will be ok, I wouldn't however use it on a larger enclosed roof its better to use the breathable understaters membrane as we do on extensions etc.
