For any new VMware users out there, if you copy a large amount of data in and out of a VM, there may still be a copy of that stuff in your %temp% folder. If you've been wondering why your C: drive suddenly lost a dozen gigs of space, that's a very possible reason.
You have a very good channel. You not only identify the files, but also explain why they need attention. What I don’t understand is why my c drive automatically adds storage to random things after I delete everything. I’ll go from 60gb to 75gb and over night I’ll be back down to 70gb? I have a gaming pc and 32gb ram so maybe the ram is causing files to necessarily use space but I honestly have no idea. It’s constantly draining my storage even when I’m not doing anything. I’ll click out of the folders and come right back and be missing 300mb. Disk space or network not being used and pc not detecting virus. Is this normal?

Download and install CCleaner and use it once a week. When I had windows on my computer, I no longer do, I used Superantispyware, Malwarebytes, and Zone alarm, which is a better Firewall than the one Windows has.

I've got a very unique and odd issue. I've got one of my secondary drives filling up mysteriously. It has 2TB storage, Storage sense says 1.5TB is filled with "Other" data. But I can only seem to account for about 400 to 500 GB of data I actually find worth of data, even after viewing hidden. I've essentially got 1TB that's mysteriously filled up somehow. I'm going to try that Space sniffer, but it's so strange that it's doing this.

That's a very strange result. but shows I've got some clear issues with the drive. (Apparently it's all backup files. which It was hiding from me? Strange enough. I found more as I ran it as Admin. I've gone over my Backup settings and have fixed it for now.)

I've gone in and wiped the backup files as I figured out the path to it. but it was such a surprise that it didn't let me know where that space was going till I could open in admin settings with the scan tool. like what they used here.

I’m a VBox user. I switched to VMware to install Windows 8.1, the only OS I was able to install on VBox was Windows XP Mode. Thank you for this!

Space Sniffer just saved my day. Thank you so much. Adobe Premiere Pro had a cache of over 170GB that I didn't know was happening.

Yes I use that a lot, before I use to look through the files to see which was the largest, even through %appdata%
