The only point to add is that if you want to increase space in C drive then you need to divide the space in the drive which is very next to C drive. then only it will work. For Example if you have C , D , and E drive hen you can't make out space for C drive by dividing E drive, you need to target D drive
Question - If you only have C and D and now you have a new E drive - can you not simply transfer the space from the E drive to C? Rather than copying the files from D to E than transferring D to C? or does the same logic work for this scenario?

7:46 Extend Volume Option will be highlighted only when while Installing the OS you have not created any partition ( Which happen mostly in the case of SSDs which has low space eg.256GB, 512GB etc.So nobody or company create the partition while Installing the Operating System). If you have created any partition this option will be greyed out...then you have to use any 3rd party software.....

I did the exact same thing but I think its because of the unallocated space being only 20gb for extension into c drive, the extend button is unavailable to press. Is there any solution to that?
Those whose extend drive option is greyed out. You need to have unallocated space just beside the C drive in order to extend it. I was using D drive as my storage drive, so I had to move all my data from D to other drive. Once drive beside C was free I just deleted it and extended C drive :)
After getting through all the step exactly matching in your video, I get to 7:44 to extend by right click but now, the Extend is grayed out. I cannot click it as the finale step. The unallocated free space I have on second line called dics-1 while the C-drive says disc 0. Is that a problem? I cannot finish it. ;(

I formatted My D drive and but I still can't extend my C drive how can I do that
You first clear yourself between format and delete. Then u can done this.
make sure that the final unallocated space is right next to the C drive

I don't have another partition except C drive. My C drive is partitioned because I cloned my old hard drive which was smaller.
To the right of C drive, I have 521MB of Recovery Partition, which I have on all my computers automatically I guess. You don't have one? Is that why you can extend C drive? How would I do that?

Free up the next right drive space from c drive, then you will only be able to add the space to the cdrive.
If you have one or two different drive present between cdrive and your deleted/unallocated drive, it will not be added to your cdrive.
For example.
You have drve - c, b, d, e, f
Then you can only add space from next right drive. Here you can increase cdrive volume by taking from b drive only...... If you clear from any other drive then the next right drive then always there will be an extra drive abalable between your unallocated drive and your target drive (c), so it will end up with invalid conditions for the systems to perform your tasks.
Rules are
Only-
C can add space taking from b
B can add space taking from d
D can add space taking from e
E can add space taking from f
same issue with me, extend option is not working
I did the exact same thing but I think its because of the unallocated space being only 20gb for extension into c drive, the extend button is unavailable to press. Is there any solution to that?

Those whose extend drive option is greyed out. You need to have unallocated space just beside the C drive in order to extend it.
I was using D drive as my storage drive, so I had to move all my data from D to other drive. Once drive beside C was free I just deleted it and extended C drive :)

After getting through all the step exactly matching in your video, I get to 7:44 to extend by right click but now, the Extend is grayed out. I cannot click it as the finale step. The unallocated free space I have on second line called dics-1 while the C-drive says disc 0. Is that a problem? I cannot finish it. ;(

@@mychefm5019 You can only extend a volume with space that is directly to the right of itself. the position in the horizontal bar of the unallocated space does actually matter
