This is another example for a person in need for a deep clean. As those tiles and the silicone sealings are pretty aged this was a hard cleaning job but with an excellent result. Will your client get a housekeeper or any help to maintain kitchen and bathroom?

You are great person to help the elderly .I have a idea that help you when I finally get through in the B R I spray the grout with a spray bottle of just bleach where ever that black is and wait about 10 minutes and then just wipe with paper towel no more black .Hope the help.goodluck on 100k

Another superb cleaning Job Barbie. It was shocking to see the colour change between the clean tiles around the basin and the dirty ones to the right of them. It showed just how dirty they originally were. Hopefully he can get someone in to remove all that mildew stained sealant around the tub and replace it with nice clean white instead. Well done you worked very hard for this man.

I work in healthcare. The biggest risk for men over the age of 65 is being widowed or not having a wife. Sadly, this generation, heavily relied upon women for housekeeping, food, preparation, and making doctors appointments, etc. I’m betting that this man is either widowed or single.

I’m over 70 with arthritis and other health issues but I still manage to keep 2 homes, mine and a disabled friends house, spotless , age is no excuse for living in filth. But think you are an angel Barbie❤
I’m 68 and still clean my home top to bottom every week. Vacuum, clean bathroom, laundry, and dishes every day is the minimum. Hand mow, trim, and edge my yard twice a week. Detail my car inside and out every week. Clean a church once a week. Work on a hoarder’s house one day a week. And volunteer one day a week. Also painting a room a month in my 1945 home. You have to just get up and do it! No matter what your body says!!

He is 85 and you have no idea how physically able he is. He may have vision problems or balance issues. You are judging someone without full information.I know I ( at 67) can do less than I did 15 years ago. I get things done just not as often or slower. Maybe try compassion

Seems he needs weekly cleaning help so it doesn't get so bad. He also needs safety bars installed to hold onto when in shower and by commode. Hope he can get these safety items added. It will help out greatly ❤

I don't know if you saw my comment about a cleaning hack for black grout/ silicone around baths and sinks.
Soak some cotton wool in bleach and then press it into the silicone. Leave as long as possible then remove and rinse well. It usually works the first time but may need repeating on stubborn stains.
I love how hard you work, I have only mentioned the above hack to make things easier for you. X

Lysol Toilet bowl clean can be used outside the toilet. It practically melts grime and hard water stains away on porcelain and enamel and stainless steel.
My husband had purchased it to clean his bathroom toilet but it was still nasty. I let it sit and scrubbed until the grayness was white again.
Then I tried it on the ever dripping sink and the shower. Like new for the sink and shower which weren't new when installed in 1968.
What a relief that clean bathroom must be. Great job!!
