Several months ago I wrote how I have been in bed for 2 years with depression and have gone from a beautiful home to an overwhelming disaster. 200 wonderful people took time out of their day to write words of encouragement and offer helpful suggestions…all of which have been a great blessing to me. I am making progress and I am so grateful to you all. I had made myself invisible in life. Thank you all. God bless.
I'm "awakening" from a crippling bout of depression that lasted 3 years, you are not alone. No one talks about the physical side and how painful it is to move your body and how many breaks you need. You're strong 💜
I finally cleaned my room yesterday. 12 Garbage bags. I ended up filling 12 full Garbage bags, with just like.. Dusty Garbage that I never got around to cleaning up in many years. I had to ask my brother for help after 4 bags. I feel proud! :D Thanks for inspiring me to clean up!
As someone who works in a donation center, THANK YOU for pointing out and not donating moldy & stained stuff that should be taken straight to the garbage. I have to deal with that every day, & people dont realize that nonprofits lose money and time having to ship away molded, rotten furniture. If you think it should be tossed, toss it. Nonprofits are not the dump.
Yes amen!! I volunteer in our church thrift store and mostly we get good items but sometimes.... Close the bag and into the garbage. Waste of our resources.
It's the same story everywhere. When we had massive flooding in various areas of Germany, they put up donation centers to provide those who had suddenly lost everything with the bare necessities. I talked to someone who worked in one of those centers, and she told me people put sacks full of dirty, crapped on clothes, single shoes and socks, broken china etc. in front of the building at night. They had to shut the place down eventually.
I can’t believe people would donate mouldy things to a charity, that’s disgusting those people should know better . I only donate clean clothes and electrical. My last de clutter I donated two perfectly good flat screen tvs brand new clothes tags , shoes ect you really don’t realise how much you accumulate over the years . But I’m glad it will all go to those that really need them my daughter donated a lot of her old toys as well .
Thank you for mentioning us! Super impressed by what you got done in this video, I wouldn’t know where to start. With a few we have helped in their gardens I could have done with your help on the inside. Have a great weekend!
@FlawlessCleaningServices Ben, you and your dad are such gems! I love what you're doing for Jim, and all that you have managed for all the other Lovely People you've helped. ❤
We recently started doing what you do and Facebook was also how we reached out to our community. The response was overwhelming, we're blessed to be in a position to help others but so sad the number of people who are struggling, I've been there myself but to a lesser extent. We did our first big clean this week and it was honestly hard work and only maybe a 10th of the condition of this home, you make it look easy! Your videos (and Auri, Barbie and Bonnie) are what inspired me to do the same for others, thank you for all you do. Your commentaries are my favourite 😁 x
@@luarosie the full cleans are posted on TH-cam once a week (next video is released tomorrow) we also have links to our other socials on our channel but we're still getting the hang of making shortform content, thanks so much for supporting us 🥰 x
Your brief breakdown of how autistic people often stop seeing the individual items in a pile and instead see it as a whole item kinda just changed my life lol. I do that subconsciously. Now I have the words to identify what I’m doing and can knowingly negate that. Thank you!!
It helps me understand how my grown kids deal with their spaces and their accumulations of things. How they have been this way since they were young, and probably only understand the surface of what is happening when stuff piles up.
@@traceyosterlind14 now it will be easier because you know it is individual items that can be dealt one at a time. Once you have picked one item up and dealt with it like Mack says, it changes the outlook and becomes doable. Move one item to another place or throw away.
My dad is a hoarder, my husband and I have cleaned inside and outside twice. Its still not fully clean because we need a dumpster. But we wouldn't have been able to get it to be livable without finding your videos. So thank you
2:20-3:50, I have autistic traits (no official diagnosis), and the "clutter becomes your environment" is real. I live alone, so all cleaning is done by me, when i have the time+energy after a full time job (which cuts into my "hobbies" time). I just deep cleaned the bathroom, and holy moley. I - pulled everything out of the bathroom closet and shelves, - wiped down all the incredibly dusty surfaces - mopped the floor - wiped down the wall tile and scrubbed _some_ of the grout (i abandoned that idea pretty quick) - and cleaned the toilet (which is usually very overdue and a near biohazard) by the end, i had a laundry basket full of nicknacks, and was too exhausted to continue (i sorted through the laundry basket yesterday, and threw away like 45% of it)
Great job!!! I find I get overwhelmed doing the bathroom all at once so I break it down over a couple of days. Shower one day. Toilet and sink another day and floors the third day. It makes it less overwhelming to think about
Agree. I've never forgotten on Hoarders when a therapist told 2 women most house fires take full hold in under 5mins , then timed them getting from their living room to the door. It took them 6.5mins.
I have to tell you that I have loved your APC formula. I used 91% Alcohol (because I had that), Distilled Water (because I have that), and a small squirt of blue dawn (because I have that). I have aptly named it Moose Cleaner and added a warning label that it might induce spin kicks within 15 minutes of completed usage.
As the child of a hoarder who is now sorting through that hoard, i'm throwing my own childhood away. It's very hard to focus on the trash part. I have support but not much physical help so I have to touch all of it and it plain sucks. I sometimes replay the parts where you describe the $ involved and remember that if I don't do this... I will pay for it in a different way. I am far below the poverty line so I must pay in time and not money. Plus I live here as a full time caregiver so there is no reprieve from the overwhelm. So, thank you for recording and narrating with an honest tone because it has truly been a helpful respite when I break for my 10 minute sanity pause.... turned my "camper" into a dump trailer so i'm using what i've got and pluggin' away!
Good wishes coming your way. My house is nowhere near as bad as the one Mack has been cleaning but I don't want to leave a mess for the next generation to sort out.
Remember there are people who are cheering you on! This will pass and you will have a lot of time to just remember, so try to enjoy your remaining time with your parent while they are still with you. Prayers are being given for you.
@ Thank you, I genuinely needed this today of all days! Brought a smile to my face and I thank you for taking your time to help me. p.s. I love your name... bonbon's were the best (are they still around? don't tell me, I'll want some, lol)
@@TalkingWithMyselfAgain my mom died last year and I wish I had asked her so many things. How did you meet my dad? Why did you name me my name? Where is your wedding ring? Never found it. So many other things! My aunt gave me this nick name. I loved her. Good luck in the future.😊
Flawless Cleaning Services is absolutely fantastic! I love what he does for the elderly, rescuing them from overgrown gardens and utilizing his army of volunteers to fix vital issues at their homes. ❤
Yes! Ben is doing the exterior version of what Mac does for home interiors. It’s been a bit of a progression, but between Norman, Peggy, and now Jim, he’s clearly found his niche. People who need help, usually elderly people. There is not a better landscape cleaner out there.
I used to love meerkats until I found out how dangerous and fierce they are at killing things. 😮 nothing like Jason at all, lol. But I see what you're saying. 😂
This one hit me emotionally when that unicorn stuffie was shoveled up and into the trash. I just think about how that unicorn stuffie came to be in this home, and how something that maybe have been a gift or a treat at the store one day became just a percentage of this trash entity. It really illustrates the emotional space of the people living here and I hope they are able to get to their “unicorn stuffie” selves again ❤
My cats love/hate your sped up conversations. Pretty sure they think you guys are birds Great video! This house’s transformation is seriously satisfying !
So many children's items in the debris. I am a teacher and the point driven home here is that you never know what a child is going home to. You just can never be too kind.
It still fascinates me how people can carry the burden of what they're going to do but never do - for Years. I saw what looked like yarn in the video and it reminded me of the rug making project my mother bought supplies for, but never ever started, for 30 years. She carried that stuff from house to house to house to house to house for 30 years, always, always intending to make that art project, and never even cut the first batch of yarn. It's not a slam, I carried my rug supplies (bought at the same time) for decades, too, having almost finished it, but not quite. It was a pleasure to get rid of eventually. We humans are very strange things.
I have so many boxes of "good intentions." Watching Mac and Jason get thru these houses has helped me assess what I could be letting go of. It's a process, but can be done.
I had a professional camera that I used for a couple months only and then did nothing with it for 10 years. I finally donated it. I tried professional photography( my two brothers did wedding photography, videography for years so I wanted to try it) but I didn't have enough confidence to be successful. You have to look like you know what you are doing otherwise the ppl will question what you tell them to do. Also, too many people wanted me to photograph them for free. Even my brothers told me my pictures looked good so I felt like I should be paid.
My thoughts on this: as long as we still have a project that we will start "tomorrow" or complete "soon", there is still hope. Hope to fulfill dreams, to be capable of something, to be able to create something beautiful. If there is no more unfinished project, there is no more future, no more hope, only waiting for death. That's not necessarily true, but it feels like it.
@@schnetzelschwester I actually started, finished or at least tried everything I dreamt of doing and then came up with new things to do or realized you will never be great at anything if you don’t work on it regularly. Just waiting and dreaming of doing a project is living in fantasy land. Once you start working on it you might realize how much you dislike it, how bad you are at it or how easy it actually is comparing to what you thought it will be or how practicing everyday makes you better and better and that you wish you started sooner. you can’t learn piano in one week, but if you practice for 20 minutes a day for a year you will go far. Same with organization and cleaning, a little a day will get you further than a big weekend project
He does seem to have an overwhelming problem with moose (mooses?). I had no ideal Southern Central Illinois was so infested with snarky, lazy, lippy moose.
The Carla Project, especially her series with her sister, is required viewing in order to graduate in TH-cam Cleaning! I can’t believe I’m hearing her name here. She is the high point of my Sunday alongside April of Space Maker Method.
Mastering this job is when you get the patient and empathy to do this WORK with your loved ones and keeping the family relationship separate 💖. Hat down for Carla 🎉 🦦🐕and Samson
Love flawless cleaning! The stuff he’s been doing recently is so much more than power washing, it’s fixing the big stuff that the person can’t afford, roofs, windows, drainage, garden clearance. And importantly, checking up on & chatting with the people he helps, mostly elderly people, it’s really heart warming stuff.
@@MidwestMagicCleaning well, looks like I’ll be watching yours now too 😂 never thought I’d enjoy this kind of thing but it’s relaxing and interesting 👌 thanks again mate!
In this house you can see at one point it was a very nice and cute place. A sense of comfort style. Then something happened. Something took hold. Then it took over. I'm so glad they reached out to you for help. I wish them the best going forward.
During my burn out I found the energy to finally wash the dishes in my sink for the 6 weeks. I feel blessed to know that I have co workers that would drop everything to help me clean my house. Thank you mack. Hope you recover from your burn out soon and come back FIRED UP and ready to burn it down. You know in a good way
The oven was on, the dryer lint was piled high in the laundry room, all that fabric and a lit wax burner, it's a miracle that house didn't burn down. The mold's bad enough, but imagine having to clean up after fire damage. Take care of yourself and the family!
Ha! I'm a massive Carla Project and MMC fan... love that you gave her a shout out! ✨ Thank you for your honesty, graft, and moose population control efforts.
@@teret6719, I think it’s a case of words having more than one meaning. In British English we speak of hard graft- it means hard work. If someone is a real grafter they work really hard.
Bravo for the former home occupant for requesting and accepting help. Well done! Ordeal was the key word for me: these people were going through a huge ordeal, you and Jason are going through an ordeal on the other side of this. I hope all concerned can reach a sense of peace once it is completed. Healing for all.😢❤
To anyone who thinks he should clean and donate? Has no concept of how much work it would entail to do that. He's already donating his time to clean the home.....that's sufficient. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks for the shout out to Flawless Cleaning. I have been a member of Flawless almost from the beginning. I am so happy to see the community support each other. Ben and his Dad have transformed their work and lives massively. I love integrity in action. Keep up the awesome work you do. Love your channel and your style and who you are. Thanks for all you do! No rude Moose!
Ben inspired me to sign up to deliver Meals on Wheels. I'm so excited to go out and help others, but mostly grateful that channels like these educate people and inspire others to do some good!
A Hoarder's Heart is another TH-camr that could help some of your viewers. She slowly decluttered her hoarded house and talked about how she deals with her trauma and emotional attachment to the stuff. I find it helpful and I am not even a hoarder. I started watching her when she tried to Marie Kondo her closet, she covered her identity at first by wearing masks and glasses I believe.
I would recommend Remi Clog, if you haven't tried her channel. It is smaller and she mainly cleans her own home, but she talks about struggles with executive disfunction and how she manages to deal with it. I find her very soothing.
There is this You tuber from England and she clean her house and her family. She gives great advise and makes a house that is messy to a nice clean place. She talks about her struggles and how she deal with it. Her name is Remi
@MidwestMagicCleaning that is so sweet from you. I love your videos, too. I wish more ppl can be educated. I have 3 grandsons, and each one of them has a different problem. I was fortunate enough to stumbled in your video and Remi.
My sister had an apartment for seven months (a number of years ago). It doesn't take long for people that hoard and don't clean to accumulate stuff. The floors were covered and it was very hard to walk through. One would think it would take years to get trash that more than a few inches thick, but it doesn't.
So proud of this home owner for asking for help! I can understand how they would get into the cycle of embarrassment to paralyzing inability to fix it. All the best to them in the future!
I have been watching Flawless Cleaning since way back. He started Flawless Blessings which was power washing a property for free I believe he did that once a week? Then over time it just kind of exploded and now it has grown into the most AMAZING channel that Blesses people in such a big way it is almost unbelievable!! I love seeing the clips at the end of his family also. The relationship he has with his father is such a wonderful example as well. Ben is a true believer in making the world a better place and that we all have a responsibility to one another. I just absolutely love his content❤
Light bulb moment! You said you were taught that cleaning was a punishment. I think it was in your last video. I've been thinking about this ever since. Your videos have helped me start cleaning up my mess, and that insight in particular see things differently. Thank you Freudian Roundhouse Kicker!
Flawless Cleaning and FlippingDrawers!!! Yes!! They are two of my favorite guys too! If anyone else wants to watch a combo of a yard guy and a cleaning up mess guy I recommend Quick Cuts! He's out of Tasmania and he will do complete yard makeovers where he hauls all the trash out of the yard to the dump and then cuts the grass, trims the trees - just does it all.
I knew what you were going to say before you said the Legos were painful to toss. I was inwardly going "Oh no, the Legos!" when I saw them getting thrown out. In theory there are ways to clean them, but speaking at someone who has cleaned large batches of Legos it is very time consuming and laborious to do a thorough job. Getting their house back is more important than the Legos.
@@skierprincessakify same, the plushies hit me the hardest. The Olaf and others were also Build-a-Bears, along with other plushies that were probably really expensive and sentimental. Unfortunately being in the filth, especially with the mold, is what it is for their fate.
@@DianaStuckert That may work if they're not too dirty. Keep in mind air bubbles can cling to various parts of the Lego's even when completely submerged and agitated. The only way to clean every crevice, is with a toothbrush or other small brush. So yeah, hand scrubbing each tiny brick.
I sit here and watch you clean this and I think to myself, how much money is actually laying on the floor with all of those belongings having been purchased at one time or another. feel so sad for the folks that lived here that felt it got so bad that they had to leave. But at least the clothing and stuff saved the floors. So that's a great thing.Great job as always so entertaining.Thank you so much for what you do❤
I'm not officially diagnosed, but whenever you talk about an autistic experience I relate super hard to it. It's gotten to the point where I have agoraphobia but I'm working with a therapist to get my life back. I'm working on learning more about myself everyday and having someone give me the words to describe my experience is immeasurable. Thank you for doing what you do ❤
You are doing archaeology, and there is a branch of modern archaeology called garbology, pioneered by the late William Rathje, University of Arizona, Tucson. Reverse chronology. Well done!
Those kitchen after images almost made me cry. I know there's a lot to do with this house, even after you're finished cleaning it, but it could be such a sweet, welcoming home. I hope the owners manage to get there. I hope they get to enjoy a safe, cozy place to live for many years. You and Jason are awesome for helping them get that chance back.
Y’all… I got my living room cleaned out. Took about a week and quite a few contractor trash bags. My nephew helped me put my totes of Christmas decorations that have been sitting around for two years up in the attic and I took several boxes of things to a thrift shop. Now I had some motivation because of course my air conditioner died right before a heat wave and I needed to make room to get the old one out and the new one installed. It’s not perfect, I gotta vacuum and dust but now I can get to those spots to vacuum and dust. You guys are still amazing.
I was going to suggest you watched Flawless Cleaning, and then you shouted them out!! Thank you for your help you give to others. May you be blessed as you are a blessing.
Seeing the children's toys and clothes breaks my heart. I am so thankful that this family was able to find someone like you to help them. Thank you for all you do for others.
Aww! Ginger kitty cat on the final slide! 🐈 I like the shout outs to other channels. I already love The Carla Project and Al Blades. Will try out anyone else that you recommend. Hope they return the favor so that you get the gold plaque!🌟

This video really struck home for me seeing all the children's toys. My daughter who has struggled with ADHD and the associated depression has lived most of her adult life like this. Being on housing assistance actually helped her keep things under control, for awhile. She would clean frantically for the upcoming inspections. But in the end lost her assistance, in her mind, because of me. She passed the inspection but the landlord needed to do some work in the basement. When the inspector returned to check that the work has been completed she asked me to let them in because she was working. Unfortunately the house had already returned to its usual condition and because she and her boyfriend had removed the bulkhead stairs previously to get a sofa in to the basement I had no choice but to let the inspector in through the house. Needless to say the inspector was shocked by the condition of the house. She lost her housing assistance because of it and blamed me for letting the inspector into the house when she only needed to look at the basement. She's been kicked out of every rental she's ever had. We are now estranged and I have no idea of where our how she's living with her 11yo son. He older daughters are now in their 20's and living on their own. Without the proper support, with our without medication, ADHD can be devastating to a family; it was for mine. 💔
I absolutely love watching flawless 🎉🎉 Al bladez he's the 1st lawn care i started watching super awesome Guy.. another guy is midlife stockman Way above and beyond
Very Quick Cuts is another landscaper that I enjoy watching on TH-cam. He is from Australia and is very thorough. He also writes names of plants he is trimming or cutting down. Does pressure washing when needed too.
The thing I always think about is that the house started out fine, the people were functional, and a combination of events and consequences derailed everything. I hope the people living in the house are recovering. Sometimes it takes a complete change of surroundings to start fresh.
This is one cleaning where I one hundred percent agree with you. Any reputable thrift store would have to trash donations from an environment like that. Those items were long ago ruined before you started the clean up.
Another thing about donating goods to a thrift store is that a large percentage of it will most likely just be tossed into a massive trash compactor then taken to either a waste processing center or directly into a landfill. I used to work at a Goodwill, and there were times when we threw out entire boxes and canvas postal carts full of stuff because it went against corporate standards and precautions (some of the stuff was antiques and vintage items that I had to throw away because of corporate, it was awful)
The best thing would be for all of us to just stop buying all this stuff. We need food, a week's worth at a time and a few changes of clothes. Nobody needs mass-produced, made-in-China, plastic crap. Most 'antique' 'vintage' or 'collectible' stuff is just junk that nobody wanted back in the day. Books belong in the library, art belongs in a museum, music and visual media should all be digitized and maybe we can all learn to live serenely and just enjoy the simplicity.
It really is surreal, to me anyway, to see this unfold. I am polar opposite to what I'm watching. I am diagnosed OCD, a clean freak and germaphobe. It's normal to me. So to see someone living in those conditions is mind blowing. I feel my anxiety level rise considerably. I would not have the skill set of mind to tackle something like this. Bless you for doing what you do. It's amazing to see. Looking forward to seeing the next one. 30:37
This was such a nice little home beneath the layers of illness that had built up over time; makes me sad. Thank you for all you do, and happy to be a member that helps in some small fashion to be a part of it.
Yes it is a cute home. Hopefully after MMC has done its magic, the owner can get a mold mitigation specialist in there to make it safe and habitable again.
Thank you! Not only for the amazing work you do, but also for sharing your story with us. I had no idea that autistic burnout even existed, but you opened my eyes and now I'm able to better help and support my autistic God Son. my autistic 4-yr oldgrandchild had to go to the dentist today and poor kid really was traumatized, please say a prayer. We have a hoarder in this house and it's been a battle for years and years, he cannot throw away things to save himself. I get cleaning burn out, it happens out of the blue...i had a great cleaning week last week then i went kaput. Still in the valley.
Hello Mack. Jason was doing a fantastic job on that kitchen. You taught him well. I had knee replacement surgery in December and can't get down on my knees to do that kind of stuff. I use a walker and my balance is not that great. I called the Central Illinois agency on Aging and I have 3 hours of homemaking help. That would be a good resource for anyone to call. My place is clean and comfortable. I don't know how people can think someone with a hoarding disorder is just lazy and doesn't care. I felt overwhelmed looking at that stuff in your video. It has to be miserable to live with that. I don't think anyone could relax in that, and one's home should be a sanctuary where one feels safe, comfortable, and at peace. Everyone deserves that. Thanks for what you do.
The before and after pictures are just breathtaking. The amount of cleaning y’all did in 4 days boggles my mind. I watch flipping drawers and his cat Mando… love the Carla Project and her sidekick Samson. Great shoot outs!
Flawless and Flipping are two of my favs. Really like the Hoof GP as well. What I think you need to do in all these cleanups is... OK I got nothing. I do think that Alvin is a really good name for a moose, so if you see him, please give him my regards.
the transformation on this house is /huge/. im really hoping the family can get this house fixed up and start using it again because its truly a lovely house. the friend i've been helping to keep up with housework had me do his bathroom and it was pretty bad, but now it shines and we got the stains out of the tub :) his mom asked me to come back and help her purge the cabinets of stuff her late mom left behind and to help her clean it up and sell some of the nicer china and the like- she even asked if i can help them keep up with dishes when i come over and im glad to do it. i hope we can make a huge dent on the stuff pile in the cabinets and possibly start decluttering the bedroom thats no longer being used this week too
Went through autistic burnout earlier this year after going through the process of buying my house. I'm glad you mentioned this, because I didn't realize that's what I was experiencing until you said this and I looked into it. I was diagnosed ASD a few years ago, and I am still learning about myself. Luckily I am now through it, but it was a couple months where I didn't know why I was feeling the way I was. Good to be able to put a name to it and have that in my pocket for the future.
I started to clean my very nasty house. I got very depressed and turned into an alcoholic and just threw into piles and didn't clean anything for almost 4 years. Watching these channels helps me want to clean my place up. Long pain staking overwhelming process but I have been day by day
I found Al Bladez about two years ago. His channel is awesome! I noticed you used a garden sprayer to dampen all the paper on the floor. That's actually a useful idea. If you find a spare moose, I'd love one s a pet. 💜
Honestly, between the oven being on, the wax melter warming & all of the dryer lint... I'm so glad the house didn't burn down & that you two caught these things before anything worse could have time to happen. ❤ You both do such a fantastic job for these people & they're very lucky to have this level of help! I hope they take the fresh start reset & run with it to have a better future life.
That was once a lovely home. You two work miracles, not just transforming a house but changing the course of people's lives. I love watching Flawless too, he and his dad are amazing with what they achieve for people.
My cleaning Angel 😇 fantastic job with your loving heart and soul. Jason, great work helping your Dad with his Autistic burn out you like your Dad you have a good heart and soul. So many people just ignore other people nowadays. When I was a young lady, I would seek out the elderly people in the neighborhood I grew up in and see if they needed help. Most of them did, and I always did whatever I could for them. They'd always want to pay me, and I always refused. I always got Christmas cards with money and notes of appreciation with a please get yourself something. I saved up that money for school, and it was always appreciated but never wanted or demanded anything for what I did. Doing this for people just makes you a better person. You don't always have to be paid for what you can do, but the people you do it for never forget you. Lots of them kept in touch with me until they passed. The last card I got was in 1984. I miss all of them, and I think about all of them, and it always makes me feel good and smile. People look around. There are lots of people who just need a little help. A Little of your time could make all the difference in the world to them. It's truly rewarding. Thank you, my cleaning, Angel 😇 ❤

@FlawlessCleaningServices Ben, you and your dad are such gems! I love what you're doing for Jim, and all that you have managed for all the other Lovely People you've helped. ❤
Love your channel!
Wow Mack I’m shocked and touched that you even know my channel!!! How cool 🤩🤩🤩 and thank you for the mention!!✨🌺

Love your channel too! Ican't wait to see Becky's finished place.
I love your channel too, Carla! You're so patient!
You’re one of my number one favorites.
I look forward to your videos every week!
I’m really proud of you and I’ll be praying for your success.

Your brief breakdown of how autistic people often stop seeing the individual items in a pile and instead see it as a whole item kinda just changed my life lol. I do that subconsciously. Now I have the words to identify what I’m doing and can knowingly negate that. Thank you!!
Yes, just struck me like that.
Exactly! That's one of the reasons it makes it so hard to clean.
That Mack dude is a pretty articulate and intelligent guy, eh? For the longest time I thought his name was Johnny. 😂
- pulled everything out of the bathroom closet and shelves,
- wiped down all the incredibly dusty surfaces
- mopped the floor
- wiped down the wall tile and scrubbed _some_ of the grout (i abandoned that idea pretty quick)
- and cleaned the toilet (which is usually very overdue and a near biohazard)
by the end, i had a laundry basket full of nicknacks, and was too exhausted to continue
(i sorted through the laundry basket yesterday, and threw away like 45% of it)
Glad you found MMC's video motivational and helpful for your autism. It sounds like you made good progress!
Steel wool cleans grout real quick.
Wow! ❤
Great job!!! I find I get overwhelmed doing the bathroom all at once so I break it down over a couple of days. Shower one day. Toilet and sink another day and floors the third day. It makes it less overwhelming to think about
Congrats! Yu have made a great beginning! Funny how that first step can feel so ominous....and then once you get some momentum going...look out world!
The fact that this house didnt catch fire in all these years is nothing short of a miracle
For real!
Dryer lint is one of the most flammable things ever
Seriously, it's like ~75% air, and the rest is fabric dust, which is mostly plant starch
Agree. I've never forgotten on Hoarders when a therapist told 2 women most house fires take full hold in under 5mins , then timed them getting from their living room to the door. It took them 6.5mins.
I sooo agree! Especially with the oven on! Thank god it did not!
@@SirLightfire yeah you can make pretty good free firelighters by stuffing lint from the dryer inside toilet roll tubes
🫎🫎🫎
😂😂😂
I’ve made up my own batches as well and I call it “moose juice.”
So awesome humor!
I have my 70% coming in a case of 12, because I only have a horde of 99% 😉😉
As the child of a hoarder who is now sorting through that hoard, i'm throwing my own childhood away.
Big hugs and a pat on your shoulder, keep up the good work 🐳🫂🐕

Not only are you kind and compassionate but you do so much education. Thanks.
Flawless Cleaning Services is absolutely fantastic! I love what he does for the elderly, rescuing them from overgrown gardens and utilizing his army of volunteers to fix vital issues at their homes. ❤
I just got through watching him at Jim's house. I love watching him clean the yards and now helping rebuilding decks fixen a roof, etc.
Right? Ben is the best! I watched his video helping out Jim earlier. He always warms my heart!
I also sub to Ben's channel. Love watching him and his dad, Paul helping others in need. ❤
They are amazing! ❤
Yes! Ben is doing the exterior version of what Mac does for home interiors. It’s been a bit of a progression, but between Norman, Peggy, and now Jim, he’s clearly found his niche. People who need help, usually elderly people. There is not a better landscape cleaner out there.
I love Jason‘s tactic to shoveling the trash in the container by hand. He looks like a meerkat - so lovely 😍
It’s smart the way he does that, and it probably keeps the debris from being as airborne.
Pretty sure they think you guys are birds
Great video!
Thanks for sharing. I've had yarn for going on 4 years now, and I still swear I'm gonna crochet 😮💨

I think it's so wonderful people are using platforms like this to help people ❤
Besides all the help he provides, I love that he’s teaching his kids about giving to the community, just as his dad (also in the videos) taught him.

Graft? Are you being facetious? I'm having difficulty comprehending here.

A Hoarder’s Heart is brilliant.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Olaf stuffy go…. But he had been laying in filth for years.
My kid ä(9) loves legos and it hurt a little to see them go in the trash. They are pretty expensive.
@@skierprincessakify same, the plushies hit me the hardest. The Olaf and others were also Build-a-Bears, along with other plushies that were probably really expensive and sentimental. Unfortunately being in the filth, especially with the mold, is what it is for their fate.
Put LEGOs in a mesh bag, in the top rack of the dishwasher
@@DianaStuckert That may work if they're not too dirty. Keep in mind air bubbles can cling to various parts of the Lego's even when completely submerged and agitated. The only way to clean every crevice, is with a toothbrush or other small brush. So yeah, hand scrubbing each tiny brick.
I sit here and watch you clean this and I think to myself, how much money is actually laying on the floor with all of those belongings having been purchased at one time or another. feel so sad for the folks that lived here that felt it got so bad that they had to leave. 💔
Flawless Cleaning, from UK, is great. Massive clean ups, clear outs, and grateful clients with a touch of British humor. 🇬🇧

Thank you for saying that, I think a lot of people seem to think people just start out throwing piles of everything on the floor and for no reason.
@@kg6801 Yeah. I agree. It’s not that, at all.
Hi Mack and J! As always, y'all are just the kindest people. My best to Em. 😊

my autistic 4-yr oldgrandchild had to go to the dentist today and poor kid really was traumatized, please say a prayer.
I think the mess actually starts from perfectionism sometimes…the belief that “If you can’t do it “right,” don’t do anything at all.”
The before and after pictures are just breathtaking. The amount of cleaning y’all did in 4 days boggles my mind. I watch flipping drawers and his cat Mando… love the Carla Project and her sidekick Samson. Great shoot outs!

the transformation on this house is /huge/. im really hoping the family can get this house fixed up and start using it again because its truly a lovely house.
the friend i've been helping to keep up with housework had me do his bathroom and it was pretty bad, but now it shines and we got the stains out of the tub :)

Long pain staking overwhelming process but I have been day by day
The kitchen transformation was awesome! Loved the informative narration. Much appreciation for what you and Jason do. 😊
I said it last week but I will say it again this week, that is such a cute house!
My cleaning Angel 😇
fantastic job with your loving heart and soul.
Unbelievable transformation. Good job! The kitchen ended up looking great.
Thank you for giving me the incentive to clean my own craft stuff hoard. Cleaning up as I watch your video.
Love how you explain it to us that might not understand it.do the owner ever come back to see what you have gotten done.
Holy cow or should I say holy moose. What a clean up. Great job guys.
I don't get the moose comment....I am new, what is that???
@ He always comments on moose in his house.
Ben and his crew are not only wondreful at what they do, they keep you entertained while they do it. Plus they leave me in tears at times with their kindness in all they do.
Sir, I can literally say the ONLY time i enjoy doing dishes is when i can watch you two clean at the same time. Hey, whatever it takes!! 👽
I'm always so impressed at how fast you guys are... Jason was scraping the floor faster than a moose on ice trying to get away from Mack!
Oh gosh, I’m a big fan of Al Bladez too! Love that you mentioned his channel. 🥰
