Enjoyed the video. I need help finding the float level for my 1975 F9C composite float and how to measure it. I can't find anything on the net. Also, you mentioned the enrichment circuit vent vacuum. I have two 1974s and a 1975 F9 and I have never seen a line for them. I have seen them on the dual float carb for the older F9s. Thanks in advance!
Measure from the carburetor base gasket to the top of the float arm 18mm. There is no line for the enrichment circuit. I kind of mis-spoke in explaining that port. The port is slightly opened to allow atmospheric pressure enter to allow the negative pressure in the carburetor throat to pull (vacuum) up the fuel from the dip-tube in the carburetor. This is all happening within the enclosed carburetor chamber which is filtered air. Hey Sir, I have been watching a few of your carburetor videos as of late and haven’t yet found one covering my specific subject. I have a 125CC Chinese motorcycle when I got it the thing would get to about 45MPH the gears were to short so I changed the sprockets it will get to about 55 now but the motor don’t have enough power to top out high gear. In my case should I just swap out the main jet for something a bit bigger or do I need to get a carburetor that is about 2mm bigger? Any suggestions would be appreciated. The motorcycle is a 125 x25Pro also known as a boomcat or a BD125-2
Larger carburetor and exhaust. You will have to fine tune the new carburetor however. The next steps would be a big bore kit if that doesn't give you the performance you are looking for.
That is also a carb that there are no aftermarket options to replace, so definitely worth saving. Great job.
Maybe also give that started screw extractor/ez-out a few tappy-taps from a small hammer in-between twisting maneuvers. Just my .02. Great video
