Trout fishing is the best the Colors on a trout are so vibrant and clean probably one of my favourite species to fish for I also do TH-cam but I am just 14 year old kid I do my best but i really enjoy your content 🙂
Nice work Ross. I've never been to Talbingo. A decent gradient is so important on a boat ramp. Lake William Hovell is good once it drops below about 90%, but when is full it is a terrible ramp. LOL It's so flat.
Thanks Robbie. Huon ramp the same, horrible. I have had some great sessions at Talbingo on big wild rainbows, but it can be a tough place to fish. Always love going there though.
You should go up there in the summer in jounama the yellow belly go off and you get the occasional cod or trout usually you catch about 6 yellas in 1 hour if their going off
Must have missed this one Ross. Nice to see an overview of the approach, ramp & dam mate. Another for the list come spring & release from the latest lockdown. We were at Eucumbene for the close of the season. Some wild snowy weather but the young water rat managed his first spawn run brown on fly and a salmon in the lake. First I've ever seen there in 50yrs. Still plotting to get down your way but that Mexican border keeps closing! Next they'll build a wall! Cheers PP
Hard Dam to Fish 🐟? The Trout Numbers just are NOT there no more. It's been almost a dead Trout Fishery since the late 1990,s Talbingo Dam! It's Terribly stocked and the only Spawning River is up the other end at Ravine, which Snowy 2 has now destroyed
Disagree been plenty big trout caught in the last 12months. I fished top end up sue city last weekend of the season caught 23 mostly rainbows. Mate got a 67cm brown and plenty of other smaller rainbows
beautiful spot! as they say mate-: a bad day fishing is always better than a good day at work!
Absolutely! That's the Fishtalk motto!
Thanks for posting, I've never been to Talbingo before, looks like a great place to fish.
Lovely place to fish, but very challenging. Usually the fish don't come to the boat easily!

G'day Darren, that was filmed back in April when I spent a week at Tumut. Heaps of fishing opportunities up that way, I love the place.

I'm happy to catch a single fish at Talbingo Dam. It's not easy up there. Lovely spot though.
Beautiful spot. I have had some very good sessions there, and plenty of slow ones, but I always look forward to going back.
ive NEVER seen anyone wearing shorts at Talbingo in May:)
Haha. I see your point, but it was April though!😊

Thanks mate. Got a couple of trout and a feed of reddies from Lake Hume today, one trout went 64cm and was released. Video will be up soon.
“Just a little sun shower” always a well received comment 😁
The rain came and went quickly, but we were more concerned about the sparks coming out of the clouds!!!🤣 Thanks for watching.
