- Fatima served me a vegetable-flavored salt sandwich this morning. I suspect that she put way too much soy sauce but Fatima adamantly denies the allegation. When asked to take a bite of the sandwich in question, she suspiciously refused and abruptly ended the interview.

In my opinion, she should be sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted murder. If she is capable of doing that to her husband and then having a child with him, it is clear that she is capable of doing it to someone else. Clearly, she has a dangerous mindset no remorse, just a desire for a comfortable life.

Do not forget the combined effects as well. Soy sauce, salt, and chicken cubes are often all added to one dish. All contain salt. Each alone may not seem like much, but combined the salt factor goes way up.

Filipino food is very similar in nature then to Korean food. Korean food can look very different and consist of different meat and vegetables etc but because they use the same flavourings in almost everything, the taste is exactly the same. This isn't the case with Chinese food, which is vastly different, in China that is.

That ain't no joke my friend! I tried to tell my wife for years, that she had to limit the salt. She's 20 years younger than me, and has been on high blood pressure medication for years now. At times her pressure is still uncontrolled. Initially, it was so bad, she had two trips to the ER via ambulance. Just yesterday we attended a funeral service for one of our friends. A lovely Filipina lady who died much too early (in her 50's) due to an unsucessful coronary bypass surgery. Take care of your health. You only get one chance at life. Try to get Fatima to follow a recipe book so that she can teach herself what proper seasoning is. She can salt her food at the table if she wishes, but once it's in the pot you can't remove it, only dilute it.

My Pinoy wife has been marinating all the meats in the soy sauce concoction. I asked her just to cook the meat with a little salt and pepper. The marinated meat all tastes the same, can’t tell if it pork, chicken or beef. I identify with this video.
Maybe you could boil the meat to greatly reduce the salt or spices and still be able to eat it.

Yep, those soy sauce seasonings are pretty bad and must be read to see if they have MSG and high salt. MSG has a very negative affect on me. It makes me very tired and puts me to sleep soon after I consume food with it. For a year I was eating out at Asian restaurants everyday. After about 1 hour, I was always extremely sleepy, I needed to rest. I would always sleep around 2 or 3 hours. When I woke, I was still very sleepy. It took me a year to figure out that it was the seasoning with high MSG that caused me to be very tired and make me sleep. MSG is found in many soy sauces, seasoning packets, soup cubes, and Asian seasonings. From what I have read, it is considered a "food enhancer". It is made out of different chemicals and substances that are combined together to have the taste of animal meats. MSG Is an ARTIFICIAL TASTE or lab made taste, that tastes like meat.
It is the same for me, took le about a year to find it was the msg it was terrible , i had to get a bed in a few seconds, falling asleep immediately. That was about 30 years ago, now i watch my consumption of msg, seasoned chips all contain msg.
I would like to go east asia but afraid of msg, I am canadian elder but would like to finish my life elsewhere. ☺️
